Guide to Abel Tasman National Park Day 3 hike & water taxi what to do, what to pack

Abel Tasman National park is at the top of the South Island of New Zealand, 2 hours’ drive from Nelson and is a fantastic walk! You don’t need to be super fit nor do you need to rough it camping on the track. I did it by getting a water taxi in and out each day basing myself at Marahau. You can even do it with kids, I have previously done a section of this track with my two under 3 year olds.
In this video I show you my Day 3 hike where I completed 80% of the track, highlighting the key points where I got the water taxi in and out. Plus what I carried with me and how I got from Auckland only taking 4 days away from work.

My gosh. What an amazing place❤ u r so fit, weather looked perfect im guessing it wasnt too sunny as that would have made walking so uncomfortable, looked perfect for me

Thank you. I am not fit! My only exercise is running after my small children and tidying up after them! The weather was a good temperature, it had been 28C which would have been too hot but it was 23-24C.
