    Bro, that weightless Texas Rig Senko was definitely the right choice for that farm pond! Those were some healthy largies in that pond. Blessings, Rob

      Thanks Rob, I appreciate ya watching. Decent bass, for sure. That pond has some biggins though. I got a video from last year in my kayak. 3 over 5 in a couple hours! Tight lines👍🎣

      One or 2 vids before that one, I was tearing them up on the neko rig as well.

    When I see that water, I think of the Doobie Brothers song Roll Black Water... Nothing like fishing for farm pond bass. Some really nice bass with some really deep colors. Awesome.

    Great setup and awesome session on that pond. For someone who struggles fishing when the area around here gets covered in weeds, I'll give this a go and see if I can catch something. Cheers

      @Midwesthookset  2 года назад

      Thanks Larry! The pond isn't very deep at all so weightless works well. If the body of water is deeper, just add a small bullet weight. Hope to see ya catching em on it!👍🎣

      It actually had a huge panfish kill a couple months ago. I took the kayak out there and there were hundreds of dead crappie and bluegill everywhere. Only saw a couple dead bass though so my guess is that the pond needed a panfish thinning. Thanks for watching!👍🎣

    I use a T rig if i want to get the worm through thick or tall grass, or in deeper water. It falls faster, or spirals down. 3-10 feet deep. The wacky worm I use sight fishing, or around shallow structure. 3 feet or less. Nice fish dude. Rain can't hold you back.

    That place is loaded ! Great catches bro. I think for what you are doing the Texas rigged is the way to go. I prefer wacky but more for throwing around structure. Or as a follow up to a topwater blowup. But your setup is perfect for weightless stick baits. Good stuff !

    I like to throw ribbon tails weedless weightless. I think if you can get away with the wacky rig you'll get more bites. But if the grass Is to thick I'll go with a texas rig.

    • @Midwesthookset
      @Midwesthookset  2 года назад +1

    Nice video! How do i detect the bite on a weightless texas rig senko? I use wacky rig and i usually see my line zoom off. But when people fish the texas rig they lift up and feel and fish. So do you lift up to see if there is a fish or will you know by your line running off the top of the water? Keep up the videos!

    • @Midwesthookset
      @Midwesthookset  Год назад +1

      I guess I feel the bite most of the time. Using braid really helps with that, imo. I also like a high vis braid because there are times you don't feel the bite but you will see your line jump. Thanks for watching! Tight lines!😎🎣
