The minute I wake up in the morning I go outside to feed the birds and look to see what new plant has popped its head up. The Spring is such a hopeful time, I love it! Blessings from Wales x
I have a 15 month old Boxer who gets me up at the crack of dawn! Then I go into the yard and feed the birds (and apparently, the neighborhood squirrel, too!). I’m trying to get back into my Yoga practice, but that would mean getting up BEFORE the crack of dawn as I prefer the quiet and relative solitude, at that time, in which to begin my day! ~ Blessings
Aww, that’s wonderful! I find the sound of birds tweeting or even just watching them outside my apartment balcony very soothing. If I see a bird perched on the balcony railing or on the tree below, I will wave hello to them and wish them a good day.
March comes in like a lion. Full of sun, and energy. I awake every morning earlier than the previous, ready to see which of my plantae have also decided to say hello to that beautiful returning sun. Spring-summer I am able to fully embrace nature before I'm off to fulfil my "essential" job, though I truly believe I am needed and wanted more by the earth than commerce.
Since starting my new job last summer my morning involves getting dressed, breakfast, making sure I have everything I need like lunch and my phone before I walk the mile and a half to work. I'm normally a night owl so learning to get to bed early so I can wake up before the butt crack of dawn has been a real challenge. Yet there are so many blessings that I have come to realize from the changes. Watching the moon set in the morning sky as the sun rises. Hearing the birds chatter as the sun comes up. Racing an oncoming rain storm home so as not to get wet and laughing maniacally when the storm breaks overhead drenching you in water. While I'm exhausted from the work and all it entails I've spent more time in nature soaking up all it's benefits. I've been excited the past couple of weeks as the tulips, daffodils and hyacinths have been poking green shoots above the ground.
Ok, wait, you say ginger, lemon squeezed, and honey added to water and slightly fermented each morning is your drink. OMG. I am so going to do that, but smaller batches and add it to warm water in the morning during the fall, winter and spring because I need the warmth. There wasn't a recipe so I just wanted to make sure that is what you were saying as I never thought it was the time of year that was making me feel so tired until you said it in this video. I knew it was January that is such a tough month in Canada to get through as that is usually when the big spikes of freezing cold weather happens, but yes, its march that is just as tough. Thank you for sharing.
I don’t have that magical of a morning routine, since work starts very early in the day, but I do try to stir intentions of ease and comfort into my coffee. I visualize everything being set out in a manner that allows me to get work done well, and that I’ll be able to find comfort during the more difficult moments of the day.
Appreciate learning something new. Didn't know about the shifts in hormones and neurotransmitters with the shift in seasons. Inspired to get up earlier and catch some 🌤. Even if it is overcast. Cheers!
whoa, those giant yellow spotted snow drops are so beautiful! we just have the regular on my island...but they're so wonderful to see in the brush...bunches of little white...snowdrops.
I try to go for a walk every morning too, eat something, and write. It seems to be grounding and to set a intention, like you said. Thank you for the helpful tip about energy levels. I feel so tired this week and couldn't figure out why but had an - aha! moment when you said that. Coming out of the cave and into the sunshine feels good, but it makes sense that it takes time to adjust. Thank you for another lovely episode!
I have 2 amazing rescue huskies that have trained me into morning walks 😂 it is literally the only way I can start my day... we walk out to a nearby sugar cane field and watch the sun rise... once that's over we are all ready to tackle the day ❤ thank you for your amazing videos, they have helped me thru so much in my journey 🫶
I've been feeling a little more tired lately, definitely too much coffee lately and not enough water. I did buy a bunch of lemons the other day and now I know what I'm going to do with them. And even though today is cold, its sunny, and the kids and I could use a nice walk outside. Love your videos🍀💜
This month we have so much work to get done. We already assembled the chicken run, building the coop next, building the greenhouse, building raised beds, moving the big cabin to the selected spot so we can build onto it, etc It’s going to be so busy with the outdoor work so hopefully the weather will cooperate. 🙏🏻💖🙏🏻
This is such a beautiful and delightful litle routine. I love the time you build in for just yourself. Your practical witchery that's sometimes even grounded in science is a real delight. Intentions, love, slowness, mindfulness. It's all very approachable for someone who can't spend five hours in the woods every day or wrap their head around choosing to believe in fairies. Thank you for sharing this, Bex. I can't wait to move into a new place where I have a lush garden to tend and use that to get in touch with nature in the mornings.
The outdoor scenery here is so especially beautiful, Bex! I love those misty woods, the flowering branches, those hens that are so happy to see you!!! I also love morning walks among the trees with my dogs, then breakfast. After that I “begin my day” with tarot and journaling before writing my daily BuJo list. Thank you as always for sharing your inspiration!❤
Oh Bex this is so validating for me. Even getting up 15 mins early to have that special tea. Being flexible with me time. Its amazing what even a few mins can do. Nature is a must for me. Good food too lol. Thank you for sharing ❤️ ❤❤
The tipps are so simple to copy....thank you so much!!!!! I am addicted to coffee but I will give it a try!!!!!!!i will do your lovely plate for my 5 year old daughter....she likes colorful eating!!!!
You just blew my mind! Spring fatigue is new to my life - up to the last couple of years, Spring did nothing but energize me. Now, I can barely get moving and I'm easily distracted. I thought it might be thyroid issues, got tested, but it's normal. You gave me a reasonable explanation! I recorded a follow-along Yoga Sun Salutation to guide me without having to go online. I'm going to try that lemon beverage, too! 💕
Good news is, that spring fatigue usually 'only' last for 2-5 weeks, meaning after that your body should be used to it again and the energized feeling returns :)
As a business owner with about 95+ employees, it's hard to get that kind of relaxing vibe at any time. However, I often manage to take about 10 minutes before leaving for work to do a grounding and shielding meditation. I also work at eating healthy regularly. Yes, it's work 'cause I'm a "stress eater" and chocolate junkie. But it's worth the effort.
Hello from a fellow stress eater 😅 sticking to simple healthy habits is so helpful and 10 minutes is really all it takes to set the tone for the day. I usually manage to cramp my entire morning routine into 30 minutes so it fits in my day - often it doesn't look as relaxing as in the video but all tasks are completed and it still has the desired effect which is really all that counts ❤
So glad to hear it os helpful - I feel simplifying and making the mundane magic through mindfulness saves on time and energy and allows you better balance :)
Your videos have always brought me joy and comfort, Bex. I'm so happy to see the sun when I can. I've been on night shift and it's been tough, but in April I'll be back on day shift! I'm taking the sunshine whenever I can. I will make that lemon balm infusion! Thank you and I'll see you soon. ❤
Your videos are so inspiring. They gift information on the "whys" and "hows" and are so accessible (and beautifully filmed). Thank you for creating such wonderful content.

Thank your for the wonderful ideas for morning! Might I ask which is the cheese you use in your chickpea spread and what else goes in? It looks delicious.
It's a low fat cottage cheese. I also add water, garlic, salt and spicy paprika powder. This is the version I make for a lower caloric count. If I make a regular Hummus I use olive oil, chickpeas, tahine, roasted garlic, salt and lemon juice
What did you put in your drink, I would love to make. Lemon, honey ginger and……???? I love your videos so much and thank you for sharing so much with us. Thank you.
I’d love to have a slow and mindful morning but I just cannot get out of bed, so I sleep until midday and then I feel like I missed half the day already. I noticed that whenever I wake and get up early, I feel better overall, have a balanced feeling of hunger during the day and the day feels much longer. I really don’t know what to do sometimes, because even when I get enough sleep, I sometimes feel so tired and my eyes are so heavy after waking up that I cannot manage to get up :( any tips?
I think the key here is to look into your evening routine. Meaning going to bed at an early hour, no phone before bed, good sleep environment, etc. And if you feel tired a lot it os worth to get checked out in a sleep lab if you maybe suffer from sleep apnoea and need a CPAP machine. The last one made a world of a difference for my husband
@@Thewitchescookery thank you so much for your answer! I reduced the use of my phone a lot (wanted to do that for a looong time anyway), and changed my evening routine to a slower, more mindful one without a phone before bed. Even tho some days it is still hard to get up, I wake up earlier than usual and even manage to get up more often. Anyway, if things worsen again and do not get better, I will try the sleep lab. Have a lovely evening and happy Ostara! 🤗💚

the weather to start the month is bad (roaring, like a lion) and the month ends in a much calmer, nicer way (gentle, like a lamb).
