@Albert Twangle i agree with you on praise but man... teach us - don't bully. how can you tell what Mahsa thinks? my opinion on any kind of music awards is that i don't understand the point of scoring musicians. music is an art form - this very song has left me in pieces - touched me on multiple levels, clenched my teeth, made me cry, made me laugh and made me throw a teaspon i held in my hand against the wall. I experienced all that while my best friend sitting across the room turned his head completely unimpressed. So i think we are lucky to have so much variety in music and we all feel things differently, but when we meet those who feel the same as us (which is -i believe- why we are all here) well, thats kinda special - be kind to one another and unite because we all here fucking love this song

@@mr.meowmeow672 If you watch other performances of his, it tends to be a really good blend of the two. Although, this was pretty early in his career, and i doubt he’d done that many live performances at this point. If you watch him from 2012 and onward, he looks to be far more comfortable with performing on stage, and especially during songs like State of the art, where he’d be really feeling the music :)
@@richtofen4888 yeah I think you're right 😂 I've also watch some of his recent live performances and he did look more calm and comfortable. Really looking forward to his next songs with the Basics ^^
He comes off as an artist. Someone who knows his music and style probably wouldn’t be accepted but was so damn proud of it that he showed it off like the genius he was. A prodigy of sorts
He is very rated. Multi award winner and has been listed as one of the best Australian artists of the 21st century. He is a hell of a lovely guy too, I was lucky enough to drink and chat with him and he literally is the most humble and understated guy I've ever met.
Shinigami Kitsune because people care more about sex than actual art and music with meanings. Sex sells! It’s sooooo annoying, he’s so amazing he deserves more than the title “one hit wonder”
An incredible artist and musician. He’s more talented than most current artists today. To say he is underrated is an understatement. No doubt a legend in the world of music.

Yes! There's so much visual and audio diversion. Even the literal spotlight wasn't on him. He does all he can to diffuse the central focus, whilst still artfully leading. He has a lot of class.
One of the most ignorant things you can do is call this man a "one hit wonder". I remember I discovered him when I was in Europe in 2011. This is my favorite song as well, Gotye definitely needs more praise because they always tried new things with their music, lots of a fantastic songs .
That's amazing. I've just seen a bunch of artists having the time of their lives on the stage and performing good music. They didn't even seem to be on a stage. It was like they were playing in their house: a couple of friends, good music, fun and emotions. This is something that could give good vibes to you. The rest is noise and show-off.
This rendition of the song alone should cement his legend in the history of music!!!! so few songs have such beauty, power and still feel so fun and silly, with such heartbreak undertoning the entire thing! it's so incredibly unique!
search up trip hop maybe, he said that he is quite inspired by massive attack and the likes . Maybe portishead but in another register knowing that his style is pretty unique . good luck !

Pick apart
The pieces of your heart
And let me peer inside
Let me in
Where only your thoughts have been
Let me occupy your mind
As you do mine
You have lost
Too much love
To fear, doubt and distrust
Its not enough
You just threw away the key
To your heart
You don't get burned
'Cause nothing gets through
It makes it easier
Easier on you
But that much more difficult for me
To make you see
Love ain't fair
So there you are
My love
Your heart's a mess
You won't admit to it
It makes no sense
But I'm desperate to connect
And you, you can't live like this
Your heart's a mess
You won't admit to it
It makes no sense
But I'm desperate to connect
And you, you can't live like this
Your heart's a mess
You won't admit to it
It makes no sense
But I'm desperate to connect
And you can't live like this
Love ain't safe
You won't get hurt if you stay chaste
So you can wait
But I don't wanna waste my love
