This in my opinion is the best Gotye song. The soundscape is so cool, the distortions, the flutes, the shimmer, the whole percussiveness.... it's so different. I love this And then the climax around the middle of the song. The drums sound kind of like a marching band but not as harsh.... amazing work

A happy teenager.. yes I had my mental health and past life memories plaqued me but right then I was happy smelling the rain, vibing to this and driving.. :) and now years later with so many more experiences and met people and made memories.. and becoming Hindu,, I sit here smoking Ganja and found this song again. And I am brought back to that time :) A lot of things brought me here.. a lot of it I did not think I would make it through.. But I am at peace now :) 😊 and now I will vibe to this song High as an adult, when I used to vibe to it sober as a teen lol and just drift into the other reality I see..
