Nice video. I tried both and liked both equally but I got a great deal on my Hellcat Pro, I just bought it Monday and paid $499 and it came with 5 mags and a range bag 🔫👍🏽
I have both. I love the HCP, can't trust the XMacro. Too many issues out there (shake to shoot-see Tactical Advisor's video, sticky mags, rust collector, etc).
Sig incorporates safety 'block' which is moved out the way to allow the firing sequence. That may be the reason for the longer take-up. In addition, Sig's 365 triggers always get better over time.
The Sig 365 XL was what SA was competing with when released. The hellcat is a 'me too' copy of the XL right down to the 3.7" barrel length. One of the many reasons I won't do business with SA any more.
A better comparison with the Hellcat pro would be the X-Macro TacOps which has a non-ported slide and 3.7" barrel, but can also take a 4.3" threaded barrel which the X-Macro Comp cannot.
I added a Crimson Trace RAD Micro Pro red dot to my Hellcat Pro and it mounted without a plate and co-witnesses. An Apex trigger is on the way as well.
Just a clarification, we are in March 2024 and there are Red Dots that you can mount right to the Hellcat pro without a plate. I chose the Vortex Defender CCW. Mounts right to the slide. Vortex also includes a shim plate for zeroing 15 yards or less, but not because it won't mount directly to the slide.
It’s like a polymer/plastic bushing for the firing pin assembly like Glock. No need to worry. They can handle the heat. I’m sure Sig is not going to let Glock out shine them so…….
I carry the IWI Masada Slim. Amazing trigger right out of the box and about 600 rounds through it now and just amazing. And I've owned both the P365 and the Hellcat and neither of them compare to the shootability of the Masada Slim. Then again, i'm not a fan of Sig Sauer. I think their guns are overpriced and I don't consider their products the trophy firearms for reliability. Every time they introduce a new gun, it has issues. I don't trust Sig's quality control. Springfield makes good guns and I've never shot a Hellcat Pro but Man, I love my Masada Slim.
Oy, that's a good go...achem.. I mean boy... Good boy! The Masada is certified kosher mediocrity straight out the box. Stop shilling this 'you know Hew' POS for Shlomo like it's any better than a canik, sar or even a Taurus! In fact I'd take the Turkish guns over the IWI any day.
@Rotadyma, I have the Masada Slim too, got mine a couple days after it was released. Been carrying it for 3.5 months and it's awesome. My P365X was only carried 2 or 3 times since I got the Slim. Over 850 rounds thru it with zero malfunctions. It has less recoil than my P365X, Hellcat, Max9 Pro, Shield Plus, and GX4 and a better trigger than any of them too.The question I get the most about it is how does it feel in the hand. I always say it feels similar to the P365X/XL and if you like how those feel you'll love the Slim.
No comparison the sig will rust! Bummer! I really wanted to buy the P365 XMACRO but the quality control and rusting needs to be fixed on this model first! A firearm should last a lifetime.
They both will rust if not properly cared for. Even a Rolls Royce requires an oil change from time to time. Every machine will eventually fail and become a victim to the elements in due time.
I'm guessing you mean the trigger and the mag base plate for the hellcat. If so, it's a Powder River Precision trigger and the base plate came from NDZ Performance.
Good video, I know you acknowledged that the Hellcat has a non-stock trigger installed, so it's not a stock gun to stock gun review, IMO the Sig is much better. Lastly these guns are CC guns and installing different triggers in your gun could put you legally in a bad position if you have to use it in a altercation.
Not true, that's been a bad fudd internet rumor for a long time. Whether the shoot is legally justified is all that matters, the type of gun or any modifications are irrelevant to a self-defense analysis.
@@Orcus1030 Yes it is true. You assume too much. If one is in a legal situation it has already been sent to the courts. Believe it or not your prosecutor WILL USE CHANGING TRIGGERS AGAINST YOU in court. Just ask attorneys, they discuss all this on the internet all the time. If you'd like to tell everyone they have no legal issues at all by changing from stock trigger AND SHOOTING SOMEONE then GO RIGHT AHEAD, TELL THEM
@@intheknow3431 again, that's wrong. CRIMINALLY, there is no consideration of what the firearm (or other item) used in self defense--only if the use of the item was legally justified as self defense according to that particular state's laws. CIVIL liability for shooting someone is entirely different, and in that circumstance attorneys often argue about gun modifications. But, generally speaking, if your use of force was justified under your states self-defense laws, it often precludes a civil claim. If your use of force wasn't justified, then you're in prison for a long time.
that sig mag is the worst its not compatible with standard p365 and also longer than HC pro 15rd. mag if you objective is to be CCW sig macro will lose in the comparison
I gotta say and don't mean to be that guy, but you could have got a holosung that fit the cut and not used the plate at all without any file work. I get the whole "preference" thing, I really do. Average person is not going to swap out frame (but cool you can). Shot them both extensively and bought a hellcat pro, due to the fact that hellcats have never had a acidental discharge and never shot somebody on its own.....sig can not say the same as there are over 75 charges filed against them with 3 deaths dew to accidental discharge.
I just can’t stand the stupid striker block design in Sig, completely pointless. Glad SA changed their striker block design to the Glock style rather their old stupid XDM design.
Nice video. I tried both and liked both equally but I got a great deal on my Hellcat Pro, I just bought it Monday and paid $499 and it came with 5 mags and a range bag 🔫👍🏽
Excellent price!
Wow great deal im deciding between these 2 and a holosun esp carry.
That’s a great price for sure, paid 550 for my gear up package. (3) 15 and (2) 17 rounders. HC Pro is awesome. 👍🏻
@@ThePatriotswaysame here, 549 for 2-17 and 3-15. Just ordered it at sportsmans
I love my Hellcat Pro which the standard trigger for me is great!
I'm glad you like it!
My hellcat has an apex trigger, threaded barrel, and a DPM spring kit. 820 rounds with no issues. It’s a perfect edc.
Thanks for the input!
I have both. I love the HCP, can't trust the XMacro. Too many issues out there (shake to shoot-see Tactical Advisor's video, sticky mags, rust collector, etc).
I'll have to check it out
I went with the hellcat pro.Had both, did not care for the macro or any of the p365 line.
Nice
Great video, another note for the end, hellcat pro is available with a safety, they make 365s with safety but not the macro.
Good to know! Thanks!
I have the sig and it shoots beautifully
Have you ever shot the hellcat? I think they are both nice, but always looking for more input.
My buddy has the hellcat. I’m shooting it this weekend.
Sig incorporates safety 'block' which is moved out the way to allow the firing sequence. That may be the reason for the longer take-up. In addition, Sig's 365 triggers always get better over time.
Possibly
The Cyelee Cat Pro fits directly on the slide on the HC Pro and is a solid sight. And it’s around 200 🦴s.
Thanks for the info!

Okey dokey
The Hellcat comes with a 15rd & a 17rd mag new 17 rd mags sell for about $45.99. Sig 17rd mags are $65 to 69.99 each.
Good to know
A better comparison with the Hellcat pro would be the X-Macro TacOps which has a non-ported slide and 3.7" barrel, but can also take a 4.3" threaded barrel which the X-Macro Comp cannot.
I'd suggest you do that video then

I dig the gold on your Hellcat! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks! They've got several other colors, but the gold really seems to pop nicely.
Id go Sig
Thanks
Good comparison where did you find the pins for the hellcat?
Thanks! All the gold parts are from NDZ Perfromance.
Does Sig Sauer sell a metal bushing for the X Macro? Or would you have to go to aftermarket to find a replacement part?
As far as I am aware, you need to go aftermarket. The bushing actually needs to flex however for disassembly/reassembly, so keep that in mind.

Lol, it’s not about the heat in the firing pin area. It’s the strength people are concerned about with the plastic pieces.
There's very little heat, comparatively, in the "firing pin area". It's mostly in the chamber, and then it soaks across the rest of the assembly
