Comets on freeze??? hell yeah, I was hoping to play that myself and now I have to work on fangling my character to a new build. Was the exact same thing on D4 when a build outscaled every other build instead of being on par with all the others or the others being on par with that said build. GGG don't wasnt things where we all focus on one single build they want us being creative with our builds and seeing how our builds come out @Warlug , instead of going the same route I'd love to see if you could come up with a totally original build that isn't inspired from others and that you've done yourself and see if it holds out in the maps :D
or even if it's inspired from multiple people where you've taken things from one and other things from somewhere else and put them together, I'd really love to see what YOU come up with :D
@@EyeXombiethey still need to collect data on how gold is spent. Reducing by half or eliminating this mechanic will not help the game on release. Plus one game goes back and reverse the changes people will be upset.

They could have just done a small adjustment rather than a massive one. It went from 1-2 freezes to a trigger to 10-11, which is ridiculous. I could have seen a 3-4 or 4-6.

I can’t believe they just straight up killed comet. Nerf it if it’s busted, sure… but dont absolutely destroy it. I literally just unlocked cast on freeze the night before it got nerfed. Never even got to try it 😢 I’m lucky if I can game for an hour or two before falling asleep when I get home from work. This is gonna take me forever to change my build over 😂 Really killed my motivation to play the game 😔
This saved my cold sorc, thanks. My set up in act 1 hard with blue flame gloves is: -Fireball, scattershot, glaciation, unleash -Frost wall -Cast on freeze comet impetus, echo -Another comet with cascade and arcane temp for my big damage Cast on freeze is nerfed but still works occasionally for extra clear, fireball with glaciation freezes everything. Cast Comet on the frozen enemies. Idk how it will do in maps but I am breezing through act1 hard for now at lvl 51 after the nerf.
Really appreciate this build. Took some gold to switch over but this was by far the best dmg I have been able to get so far without completely changing everything!!
I switched from comet to this and now I am ripping through the enemys lol. I am only lvl 45 and don't have wildshards. Still a banger and so much fun, thanks!

@@N0belz Nice! I heard Ranger was a fun class. My main issue is picking the right skills. People use flame wall with a witch necro. Things like that completely throw me off.
You could probably use Monk if need be and use "Into the Breach" for mana leech. It also provides chaos damage, and I believe there’s a support skill that allows chaos damage to build up freeze, so the additional chaos wouldn’t be an issue.
ahaha so nice as build, im a stormweaver and was playing mainly ice and fire with ice wall, ice bomb, and was pretty good in the tree already from waht i see in your video, didnt cost me much to go this build ^^, im playin with hypothermia too its insane damage against rare or boss with ice wall and bomb with echo support gem as combo

Наткнулся на это видео и переспекался. Возвышение не переделать, но имеем что имеем. Сейчас начал 5 акт, ебу. Как пачки мобов, так и боссов. Визуально очень красивый билд, даже иногда фпс падает слегка. Надеюсь, дойду до мап спокойно. Так что очень рекомендую свичнуться именно в него, тем более что на данный момент других билдов я не нашел.
Hey @warlug. Appreciate the vid. was running something similar after the comet nerf. Have you considered throwing "eye of winter" into the build, great for bosses, gives you a flat 10% crit chance if you hit the boss with it a few times, and it last about 3-5 seconds. Helps a lot for stacking those fireball crits. Also a offf hand staff with Sigil of power to further buff the damage, and poor mans blink - ball lightning with increase proj speed and lightnight warp. get the shock zone down + it applies shock to the EoW orbs. For bosses. I blink ontop of them, shock aura, applie res curse, back up, frost wall, sigil of power, go ham lol The reason I dont like blink is it disables your dodge roll completely so 1 bad blink and your fucked anyways. and the Ball lightning tele has WAY more range albeit slower. Give it a shot, the difference is DEFINATLY noticable.
I don't normally tell streamers my builds... but throw on 2 cast on freeze and your arctic armor. stack energy shield. first cast on freeze comet with the chance at refunding energy 2nd cast on freeze with cold snap with 40% more energy gained. arctic armor with bludgeoning then a 2nd cold snap for manual snapping those that stragglers. fireball everything and cold snap manually as needed.
I've reached level 70. And completed your entire skill tree. Could you make an updated version for higher levels as well? as I don't know what to do now xD
Just thought id add, very nice playing it at moment, very much glass cannon still, but only on nightmare 1 but woudl recommend also having cold snap, this is a bonus damage skill sometimes if you dont one shot this skill will shatter, definitely worth a few points in it just for the added one off big hit when you do freeze mobs.
This build + cof comet is pretty strong still, you clear with fireball and rares/bosses fall over with fireball + comet cause it stacks up fast for them. The issue was clear speed and this solves it pretty well. Then have a comet for manual casting white mobs that don't die to the fireball madness. Don't need to aura your curse, can just place it on bosses manually.
i just put unleash on comet and took the 10 second cooldown gem off and just cast comet. still does damage. made it to cruel mode pretty easily with these changes.

Everyone copied Raxx's build then it got nerfed insanely hard. who would ever use cast on anymore when it procs once a blue moon. They went too far with the nerfing on that one , it's useless now. I don't want to reroll classes already. I didn't even make it to maps yet. What spec is viable for sorc now
Thanks for this video, as it really helped move from the nerf. I decided to keep Cast on Freeze verses blink, because on bosses it still triggers nicely and with my Spirit I can run that and the other Spirit gem. I am torn on Artic Armour, as you choose to have the curse but I can still cast the curse when needed and with Artic I feel more protected when being hit. Thoughts on this? I also kept Cold Snap as it doesn't hurt when I have something frozen nearby and it is a MASSIVE DPS hit. Looking forward to seeing how you evolve all this !!
silly question if you have a second weapon setup,in your case wand and off hand do their stats contribute when you have a staff equiped or just when you swap?
Too be fair this is early access so it's to be expected. It's what people (unknownly) signed up for when they joined, it's called early access for a reason and that reason is last minute balancing/error fixing updates There's a reason there's no major updates to skills/builds in poe1 unless somethings seriously broken
@@RiazGT Agreed but they should have made people aware on sunday/monday when they announced all of the other patch notes so it gave people time to farm for respec a stealth nerf that decimates a build that is for sure on par with many other builds feels personal (i know its not) and very bad. They will lose many new Diablo players over this for sure as a cracked spiritborn build in D4 was kept all season so this is extreme to all of the new people. 10 year PoE players are like yeah its sucks but PoE is and will always have the risk of PoB (path of bricking)
Not true ,THIS GAMER HERE writing is cursing and swearing against GGG just like every other time they fucked everything up for the sake of nullifying all the hours spent to build a solid character .
Go fire, Get AoE nodes and attack speed nodes and all in on fire/spell/elemental damage nodes and damage on ignited enemies. Then gem fire blast with 40% aoe, 25% cast, and movespeed gem. Then proceed to one shotting everything, I went other ascendancy and took the storm based of element. it does a lot of damage and slows, and gets very big. My fire blast kills everything on the screen and fully charges in a 1 sec cast. very fun bomber build. I dont spec into crit or crit damage at all. currently lvl 60. will grab crit and crit damage after im finished getting more attack speed. very fun build.
Are you sure you the nodes that says "Increase critical hit chance" count for spells too? Cause there are nodes that specifically says "Increase critical hit chance for spells".
I’m on act 2 level 22 and I WISH my gear looked like yours, I’m a sorceress with crap specs to increase my fire, cold, and shock damage as well as increased cast speed.

go ice nova with unleash & glaciation for freezing + frostbomb for -res + cold snap on frozen enemies for dps + ice wall with cascade & concentrated effect as boss killer... walk in a park leveling to 40.. or more like a runthrough
not defending the nerfs (because they lied about not nerfing, never forget that), but you can't compare nerfing a fully released game (d4) with nerfing an early access non fully released game (poe2).
@@Demiurge13D4 is not a fully released game. There’s no endgame and they are still figuring out the skills and damage profiles of all the classes. It’s no further along vs POE2.

I think they should let players respec for free every time a patch dropped on build nerf. It allows players to test more builds and make thing balance anyway. The respec cost is too big nowadays it felt like you are in a dead end when they throw a huge nerf onto the build you are aiming towards for
I nuke everything as lightning/fire sorc. Is it just over used or overlooked? I build like mostly for damage and ailment damage and attack speed. Mf zooms

My nerfed ice sorc does the same clear speed but that is slow as fuck. I guess I will make a new char or I have to try to make lightning work. Still good video 👍👍
Lighting is same speed. No more chessy. All builds are paired and have similar power level. Now its how IT should be. Also comet is pretty strong but not as support main DMG source.
I just respec back to lightning sorceress after the nerf. Kinda wish I didn't tbh. Lightning/Spark build is quicker at mob clearing but seems weaker in boss fights. Cold still felt strong but was slow af, if that makes sense. Also survivability seemed much better with cold due to walls and slows. I was just spamming walls, manual comet cast, Cast on freeze with cold snap etc etc. Frost wall felt really good in boss fights, huge burst damage. After spending 100k for the respec I regret it. I would rather slower but strong mob clearing and great boss killing with cold than fast mob clearing but weaker elite/boss killing with arc. Just my two cents if there anyone wanting to go back to arc. Currently grinding more gold to switch back to cold, but hopefully GGG reacts with all the backlash and gives us a free respec, or at least reduces the brutal price.

That build looks like fun, but the Diablo like nerf hammer is coming after that build as well. I hope not but they're high on power right now any hubris is a thing.
I don't really care if they nerf broken shit but I do agree getting a free respec would be nice Or cheaper respecs or anything that encourages more build experimentation without being a heavy gold sink

The Monk starter passive boosts skill speed, which I believe also applies to casting spells, so it wouldn't be a waste on your way to the magic stuff.
It completely changes the feel of the build. Like switching from a warrior to a witch. Glad you can still clear maps though.

Too be fair this is early access so it's to be expected. It's what people (unknownly) signed up for when they joined, it's called early access for a reason and that reason is last minute balancing/error fixing updates
There's a reason there's no major updates to skills/builds in poe1 unless somethings seriously broken
@@RiazGT Agreed but they should have made people aware on sunday/monday when they announced all of the other patch notes so it gave people time to farm for respec a stealth nerf that decimates a build that is for sure on par with many other builds feels personal (i know its not) and very bad. They will lose many new Diablo players over this for sure as a cracked spiritborn build in D4 was kept all season so this is extreme to all of the new people. 10 year PoE players are like yeah its sucks but PoE is and will always have the risk of PoB (path of bricking)

What’re you running for ascendency skill points warlug?
Go fire, Get AoE nodes and attack speed nodes and all in on fire/spell/elemental damage nodes and damage on ignited enemies. Then gem fire blast with 40% aoe, 25% cast, and movespeed gem. Then proceed to one shotting everything, I went other ascendancy and took the storm based of element. it does a lot of damage and slows, and gets very big. My fire blast kills everything on the screen and fully charges in a 1 sec cast. very fun bomber build. I dont spec into crit or crit damage at all. currently lvl 60. will grab crit and crit damage after im finished getting more attack speed. very fun build.

Are you sure you the nodes that says "Increase critical hit chance" count for spells too? Cause there are nodes that specifically says "Increase critical hit chance for spells".

I’m on act 2 level 22 and I WISH my gear looked like yours, I’m a sorceress with crap specs to increase my fire, cold, and shock damage as well as increased cast speed.
You can makeita the blink cast from weapon set 2 so you can use that "extra" spirit and have dodge roll still when its on cd
super easy to respec into. But you need these unique super rng gloves for it to work? :P

hypothermia. it effectively makes cold damage your scaling. so cold pen and cold damage curses improve it

go ice nova with unleash & glaciation for freezing + frostbomb for -res + cold snap on frozen enemies for dps + ice wall with cascade & concentrated effect as boss killer... walk in a park leveling to 40.. or more like a runthrough

This is exactly what d4 did and ppl said f this and played something else.
not defending the nerfs (because they lied about not nerfing, never forget that), but you can't compare nerfing a fully released game (d4) with nerfing an early access non fully released game (poe2).
@@Demiurge13D4 is not a fully released game. There’s no endgame and they are still figuring out the skills and damage profiles of all the classes. It’s no further along vs POE2.

Was gutted waking up to the crazy nerf... Didn't feel as powerful as half the other top builds out there, so angry. Almost thought there's no point in continuing for a while but you've given me something to work towards and hopefully pivot into something good, thanks!

Ice wall do a pretty significant damage on break. i believe you can see it in skill description in second part

I think they should let players respec for free every time a patch dropped on build nerf. It allows players to test more builds and make thing balance anyway. The respec cost is too big nowadays it felt like you are in a dead end when they throw a huge nerf onto the build you are aiming towards for

you dont use the spell from weapon, you have to craft fireball spell, i had same issue

They should reduce costs on respec at a minimum if they're going to keep slamming nerfs down every day.
That or make subtle nerfs that make sense rather than removing an entire build. Eventually everything will just be ass and the game will feel bad to play

My nerfed ice sorc does the same clear speed but that is slow as fuck. I guess I will make a new char or I have to try to make lightning work. Still good video 👍👍
Lighting is same speed. No more chessy. All builds are paired and have similar power level. Now its how IT should be. Also comet is pretty strong but not as support main DMG source.
Comet does do dmge but even a breath of wind will stop the cast lmao
Yeah, his clear speed is not good. Just hardcasting Comet would pretty much the same clearing speed. I want my cast on freeze back...
I just respec back to lightning sorceress after the nerf. Kinda wish I didn't tbh. Lightning/Spark build is quicker at mob clearing but seems weaker in boss fights. Cold still felt strong but was slow af, if that makes sense. Also survivability seemed much better with cold due to walls and slows. I was just spamming walls, manual comet cast, Cast on freeze with cold snap etc etc. Frost wall felt really good in boss fights, huge burst damage. After spending 100k for the respec I regret it. I would rather slower but strong mob clearing and great boss killing with cold than fast mob clearing but weaker elite/boss killing with arc. Just my two cents if there anyone wanting to go back to arc. Currently grinding more gold to switch back to cold, but hopefully GGG reacts with all the backlash and gives us a free respec, or at least reduces the brutal price.

The only item you need is the gloves and a decent staff, a couple of exalts will have you sorted which you probably already have.
