Union Pacific #7254 MRVBK Manifest passes southbound at West Canal Drive 11:21 a.m. After eating, I decided to wait for a next train at this crossing (which was about 15 minutes) and got this crossing.
This is a very nice crossing on this line with Griswold cantilevers, WCH Clear LEDs, and mechanical bells. Back when this was Southern Pacific, the western signal had the current WCH 1st generation mechanical bell and most likely 8 inch Griswold incandescent lights on the cantilever, and the gates were Griswold EM mechanisms with incandescent gate lights. The eastern signal had the current Griswold mechanical bell and most likely 8 inch Griswold incandescent lights on the cantilever, and the gates were Griswold EM incandescent with incandescent gate lights. In the early 2000s, the western EM signal was replaced to an older WCH gated signal, and the incandescent lights were replaced to WCH Clear LED lights. As of 2012, the incandescent gate lights were replaced to Aurora Gate LED lights. As of 2015, the eastern Griswold EM signal was replaced to a Safetran signal with a reused older WCH gate mechanism (which was surprising for Union Pacific to do since they typically replaced to a Safetran/Siemens that time), and the back pair of the mast lights were moved to the "new" gate on a new Safetran bracket. The Griswold mechanical bell seems quieter than usual and doesn't seem very healthy and the gate lights on the other side aren't working mostly likely from a loose wire. The cantilever's back brackets on the other side weren't removed making those 2 useless.

Great video & crossing! This might be the MRVBK to Bakersfield due to the time its coming through Turlock as that train looks like the MRVWC. The MRVWC would be coming through Turlock at a later time than 11am as its usual departments Roseville earliest at 12:30pm. The MRVBK is usually down the Valley by 11am.
