It should get more than 12 extre more countermeassures. Currently it has 8 countermeassures per module, when it should have 18 countermeassures per module. So possibly an increase to 72 large countermeassures on top of the chaff.
@@Marco-cg7fb 72 is only for normal caliber CM's, not large caliber. It can have 72 but not 72 large caliber CM's. They would be "normal" flares. IRL however these aren't normal, even if normal sized, because they're designed to specifically mimic the IR signature of the Rafale.
32 large caliber flares or 72 medium caliber chaff is the official loads of the countermeasures boxes on the back of the rafale, people are arguing for having the option to select 72 medium caliber flares instead of the 32 large caliber ones. But frankly if i had to choose i'd rather see the 2 additional MICAs on the 2nd station pylons, which was tested and mounted on this version of the plane, before being adopted by India for their Rafale F3 and France for their F4

For me Rafale is like Gripen when it came out. It was F-15 vs Su-27 and then there was his small guy named JAS39A who did wonders and could slam them both. And now its F-15E vs. Eurofighter and then there is this guy called Rafale who is just minding his own business and when you go to his personal space he shoot's MICA at you and you're dead.

3:31 all Flankers got a pretty good buff to their turn rate and the Su27SM now has the Su34 engines on top of that, hope u can check that out maybe make a video on it?
@@SeekerHeaddude i did some tests and found that the flanker now beats almost everything in the ratefight if you keep your speed up. It straight up wins against the f15a now and even the f16 has a hard time against it. Definitely check it out. It also feels quite a bit faster with the new engines.
technically the rafale could bring at least 8 micas in a game. The aircraft can carry two additional micas under the wings, between the flaps and the two wingtip missiles. Plus it could carry two more (10 total) under the main fuselage, where the fuel tank is placed.

Thrust vectoring missiles just make a lot of sense when talking about high AOA planes with HMD! The f15 has the spirit of an f104 when it comes to GO FAST and it’s using the speed for range while the euro canards or specifically the rafale (gaijin please add my gripen E) focus more on the “close range” where the high off bore and high AOA means you’re never safe (granted, close range being very relatively here)
i think you're right about the Eurofighter being not a good match for it's missiles. When it does get the Iris-T it would solve that, but it is probably to early for that missile.
It is aesa, it’s just modeled weird. It has 2 scans in one effectivly. It scans normally, but then also has a super fast scan at rhe same time. It seems like it updates targets inside a cone shape of the selected target in tws continuously.
Typhoon will be deadly when the ASRAAM or any thrust vectoring missile be added to the game, but for now, it only relies on its speed to escape, while Rafale can maximize its close quartert potential thanks to MICA.
Well Rafale still also have room for improvment ingame, and in reverse as close fight upgrade for the EFs, for BVR: SPECTRA EW suit (recent test in India showed it can fry a Su-30 radar) Spectral flares (it don't use "basic" large flare but intelligent one, they mimic the plane IR signature, way stronger and modern than basic flares we have ingame, hence "only" 32 large flare IRL (if it don't take 72 basic small flare)) Reduced FCM (specially from front) MICA EM getting their real range (80km) MICA IR (dual link, TVC, slaved by the plane etc etc..) with 70km of range (while ASRAAM and IRIS-T have ~18/20km) etc And of course for way later upgrade (Rafale F4.2, F5..), MICA NG EM and MICA NG IR (NG= New Generation) with more upgrade alongside ~20km of range added)

I wouldn't mind the Rafale only having 6 missile if they gave us the ir mica. Look the mica em doesn't have great range and usually want it under 15 km so it can't snipe. And I don't know what type of irccm it used, but if anything give it the same that the magic 2 has.
Rafale is one of the topdogs in late game or small matich, but I still prefer J10 for its average game experience, J10 has more solid radar and PL12 is balance in both close and long range shot (its countermeasures is also not enough)
Can you do a bit of testing with the magic 2? Its been missing a bit more shots lately for me, Im using it in sim with the F1C-200, Pre patch it almost never missed or went for flares, Now it feels like it goes for flares more and isn't pulling as hard Could be glitchy though, I had some matches where i could not see or hear my missles or flares, But they still killed targets
waitin for all first day bugs to be fixed and vids about Su family buffs. i personally think this buff was liiiitle bit not completed, but it's definitely better than nothing
The french rafale can do 8 MICAs what are you talking about? There are photos of it carrying MICAs on all 3 underwing/wingtip pylons in combination with various ground ordnance, in addition to the 2 fuselage pylons. It doesn't carry 6 irl but it is very clearly capable of it if needed.
The 8 missles are either on the Indian F3-R or the french F4 versions... But not the french F3-R we have. On the other hand, they gave the Rafale one of it's three air-air missles... So that's with the "realistic" standpoint from gaijin.

Google 'rafale F3' and there are hundreds of images with MICAs on the wintip, inner wing and fuselage pylons. This is the standard combat and patrol loadout. There are very few to none with MICAs on the outer underwing pylons. But if you, I dont know, look at weapon expos, you can see on oct 25, 2010 on a rafale F3 with the French Air Force demonstrated rafale F3s (before the F4 even existed) with MICA IR on the wingtip, a meteor on the inner underwing pylon and (whats this????) a MICA EM ALSO on the outer underwing pylon. Do the math: the wintip pylon, outer underwing, inner underwing and fuselage pylons are all capable of using MICAs on a rafale F3, since this can be mirrored on the other side that gives a loadout of 8 MICAs.

But since when in WT we have things that only fit what the army used ? If we use this logic we can remove the Mirage 4000 as it's just a Dassault vehicule, as well as the AMX 40, AMX 32, B1 ter, and plenty of other vehicules in french tt but all others as well. This all controversy is just about double standards from Gaijiin depending vehicules. I don't really blame them because it's so hard to keep consistency over thousands of vehicules that you have to balance etc...

This is what ive been saying from the start, and honestly now people have really clocked onto it because of the hype of the Rafale and now top tier has become borderline un-fucking-playable. Even compared to what it was BEFORE. I mean ffs if you get anywhere CLOSE to an M2K or Rafale, regardless of direction, you just fucking die. which is already hard enough because they're most of the team, MICAs still have very potent range for what they are AND the pathetic joke that is the spotting system means most times you'll just get launched on by a guy you never even saw coming, either that or theres so many alerts going off through your headset that you cant look around to find the bastard before he launches on you. That and they all just stay low, so good luck sitting at range and picking them off while they just Multipath everything that comes their way. TL:DR this is what i've said since ARH was added, now theres so many MICA-EMs in one lobby that the game is just not fun, even compared to what it was before. If you're french, just multipath until you can Lock N' Launch, if not, Better hope your BVR goes well cuz thats about 75% of your match.
Id still say that EFT has more overall potential than Rafale. While AIM-120/AIM-9M combo isnt as powerful as MICAs EFT still carries a very potent kit allowing it to dictate the fight for both ARB team matches or end game 1v1s. It is certainly lots of fun tho

I love how easily this plane turns but you literally can not use this plane what so ever at the same time. The wings rip so easily it’s insane, nor can you use the engines fully. It makes 0 sense. This plane honestly is garbage the mirage is better in almost every way. 1. More missiles 2. Better functioning radar 3. Wings don’t rip 4. The engine can actually continually hold thrust without having to worry about getting a (reduce speed) warning 5. Not worried about dog fights this is war thunder getting third partied is the normal 6.more flares Who cares about how well you can turn if your always worried about your speed, considering thier is 16 other planes you have to worry about watching speed every 10 seconds is way to much in the scheme of things, you have missiles being fired at you from every direction

You are thinking of Rafale A tech-demo which is basically a different aircraft which only ever carried mockup missiles.

Another thing with the rafale when you lock a plane and they shoot a missile sometimes the radar will switch to the missile and blows the mood.
Same with the EF2000. I think its just a radar problem as a whole
Rafael gets 32 large caliber, but theyre 50mm instead of 60, where as if it wants more it gets 60 medium 40mm ones

With 8 MICA's loadout confirmed + Scorpion HMD + AESA radar + Flight performance + IRST....imo even +0.7 would not be crazy lol

Id still say that EFT has more overall potential than Rafale. While AIM-120/AIM-9M combo isnt as powerful as MICAs EFT still carries a very potent kit allowing it to dictate the fight for both ARB team matches or end game 1v1s. It is certainly lots of fun tho

I love how easily this plane turns but you literally can not use this plane what so ever at the same time. The wings rip so easily it’s insane, nor can you use the engines fully. It makes 0 sense. This plane honestly is garbage the mirage is better in almost every way.

2. Better functioning radar
3. Wings don’t rip
4. The engine can actually continually hold thrust without having to worry about getting a (reduce speed) warning
5. Not worried about dog fights this is war thunder getting third partied is the normal

Who cares about how well you can turn if your always worried about your speed, considering thier is 16 other planes you have to worry about watching speed every 10 seconds is way to much in the scheme of things, you have missiles being fired at you from every direction

10:00 Not really, because the only difference between the EM and IR versions is the seeker and range. They are exactly the same missile, with the EM having a range of 80 km and the IR 60 km. That's all you can use the EM just like the IR in every way

The MICA IR would be an ET on crack and yes it literally would be stronger than all of the IR missiles combined, it literally has AIM-9X levels of IRCCM

the Typhoon would have a better weapon kit if they got the ASRAAM for the British and Italian Typhoons and the IRIS-T for the German Typhoons but we all know gaijin is never going to add either of those missiles

Someone gonna be in for a surprise when the MICA IR arrives, specially since it have even more range than ASRAAM (~18km) or IRIS-T (~20km) with it's 70km of range, and can do all the good things of a modern top IR missile (slaving, dual link, 180° launch, still TVC, etc..)
