  • Alexis talks abouts about our grid of 3x7 units of 12'x20' black rock shade system. We assemble the entire roof on the ground so we spend less time on ladders. Then we pound rebar at each corner before we TILT--UP 3 bays (6 people needed) at a time and fit the posts in. We repeat the tilt up on the other side. The next step is that we lift the posts columns and entire structure (10 people needed) and slide it over the rebar. We use a rachet bit with a battery operated drill to tighten the bolts to the rebar. We only use the 3/8" thick rebar for the posts. the 1/4" diameter rebar is too thin for the bolt to grab. The roof is solid tarp with grommet holes. The walls are mesh. Mesh walls prevent the wind from destroying the shade structure. To buy a similar shade structure look up 'Black Rock Shade' they sell out in 3-6hours each june sale good luck
