    Hi Ben. Any time I create a new ad, or edit an existing ad, the delivery status just goes from In Review to Active. I have never seen the delivery status say "Learning".

    I paused my ad campaign for a week and yesterday I turned it back on. The only change I made was with the call to action button changing from “shop now” to “order now”. I now see that I’ve lost all of my social proof I’ve accumulated on the ad. Is this due to pausing or the CTA change?

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  2 года назад +1

      Good question - that’s due to the CTA change. Any change to an ad will remove social proof as it counts as a new ad

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  3 года назад +3

      You are very welcome :)
      I wouldn't say that is usual. We often don't see that sort of improvement but it's not unusual either. I would say that sort of drop happens 30% of the time. Campaigns do very often improve though, even if it's not by that amount.

    Thanks Ben for great videos. I decided "not to be afraid" and made changes during learning phase but am not sure that I did the right thing in my case:
    I had one campaign, 1 ad set, 1 ad which included a wide range of ages, and during learning phase I got a good cost per lead.
    After 7 days (still in learning phase, and since cpm gets higher every day),I have duplicated the ad set into 4 more, divided by ages and placements that brought good cost leads.
    Since the budget was defined in campaign level, I multiplied it in 5 (origin budget multiple 5). Naturally the origin ad set has an audience size of 1 million, and each other ad set has about 250k-350k in audience size. There is probably an overlap between each and the origin ad set.
    Fb says that I may get zero leads or high cost per lead, and that the one with the most audience size will be running more than others. One day after, I got a very expensive lead and only from the origin set, and it does seem that the others are not given a chance yet.
    What is the right thing to do now?
    Is it ok and let it work for another days?
    And what have I done wrong in the first place?
    Was I supposed to divide to ages in the first place?
    Shall I close not good placements (after more 7 days) in the origin ad set or not to touch it?
    Shall I start over in a new campaign only with the sub divided ad sets?
    And when you offered to sub divide to ad sets after seeing results, what do you do with the budget in such case? Is it in the ad set level or do you let fb test it?
    I may have ruined what have achieved so far, as it seems it just spends most of the origin daily budget on one lead in the origin ad set🙂
    10x

    Hi Ben, is learning phase/learning limited new since ios 14 or was it always the case? All summer my conversion ads were getting results within hours and at a low cost per conversion rate (€1.50). My recent ads are getting next to zero conversions for the first 2 days and crazy high cost per conversion! (€15-30!) This is for exact same ad sets and new ones. Was is it much easier earlier this year for everyone?! Many thanks 😊

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  2 года назад +1

      Hi Sinea, it was there beforehand.
      Over the first few days you are probably seeing the reporting delay impact your short term data. I'd try assessing results over a longer time period.

  • @akrmeen2007
    @akrmeen2007 2 года назад

    Thanks Ben, I have 2 asks :
    1- If the daily limit is $25 "new ad account" in your estimation, Facebook will raise it after how long 21 days 1 month.. ?
    2- if my target audiences users 95% ios users do you prefer ABO CBO?

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  2 года назад

      1) That depends on a lot of factors including where you are in the world. For example, we'll get a limit like that lifted in just hours.
      2) I prefer to use CBO - you should still receive the highest priority conversion event for those users and Facebook can use that data to optimise accordingly.

    Hi Ben, always following your content! Quick question, if i scale the budget during learning limited, but performance goes down the the next day, do I descale it back on the same day (the next day) or does i have to give it 48 hours to optimize as well before deciding to descale/switch it off?

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  3 года назад +7

      Glad to hear it :)
      Firstly, I wouldn't scale during the learning phase. I would wait until you are out of it or at least into learning limited. Then after you scale it's very important you don't assess results after just one day. You need to give your campaign time to adjust to the new budget level.
      If after you have given it around 7 days, your results aren't great at the new budget then yes I would reduce your budget.
      Hope that helps :)

    have a question about budgets: should I stay with the US currency?
    eg: let's say I'm starting out, and I want to find out my cost per conversion. And let's say the normal CPC would be $10-$15.
    To test my first ever campaign - do I convert my local currency to $15 USD per ad to test? Or is it okay to use 15 dollars of my own currency to test it out, given that I'm advertising to people using my own currency?

    Hey Ben. New subscriber here! Great video. Real quick, do you see any benefits with implementing ABO rather than CBO during the beginning testing phase of ads? I’ve heard from a lot of advertisers that this may be the way to go if you want to accurately analyze the data to find your winning ads. Any advice helps!

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  3 года назад +3

      Thanks Marshall :)
      I understand the logic there but unless you are using a more advanced sales funnel structure like Omnipresence Content, I prefer to use CBO. I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of accuracy with my testing in order to get better results during the testing process. Bearing in mind that CBO is nearly always going to show you which elements perform best anyway.
