    Great Value Ben! I've tried duping the wining campaign but sometimes it just destroys the momentum of it. sometimes when I also add more budget on the wining campaign, it seems to me it goes into a new learning stage wherein it doesn't really give me good results. I've been stuck at a low budget campaign and cant scale. best budget for me is at 10$ per campaign and anything beyond that just makes my cost per purchase higher. I might be doing something wrong. hoping you could help out man. thanks a lot!

    one question, when you run a carrousel or swipe ad for page likes and followers, what's a good thing to do to make sure people watch the video to the end? should you put in the most number of photos? is there an optimal amount of time per photo? does a video that has a greater proportion being watched through to the end get more likes and followers?

  • @tomisuarezok

    Hey Ben! Great content. Just wondering, you always say that we should test the SAME ads alongside all of our adsets so we can isolate variables. It makes total sense.
    But being different adsets, ads will have different performance even though they are the same across all adsets. So, it may happen that one ad performed best in one adset and worst in another. What should we do then? We can't mantain the "all same ads across adsets" structure, right?
    Hope it makes sense! Thanks!

    Hi Ben! First off I need to say I am super impressed at how many replies you're giving people in the comments section, even this long after the video has been released. Second off, a quick question: What are your thoughts on unpausing a campaign? Does it do anything to the learning?
    I scaled from $10 to $30 to $50 a day and my ROAS were 1.84, 2.48 and 0.84 respectively. I ran the first two for $100 worth and the last one has only been going for a day. My break even ROAS is 1.6. I duplicated each of these campaigns to get the new one, and I found this video because I was curious what the effects on duplication were for a campaign. Since my $50 a day adset is doing so poorly, but it's so early, I'm on the fence between pausing it and pumping up my best adset with more spend, or waiting it out to see if it at least breaks even, at least for a few days. I assumed that duplicating adsets also duplicated the "learning", but I guess not.
    Also the winning adset has only been paused for about a day, for what it's worth.

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  3 года назад +2

      Hi Mikael, thanks a lot.
      I don't think it's a big problem to pause and unpause ad sets. Ideally you wouldn't do so right at the beginning but all sorts of business considerations make this necessary from time to time and that's ok.

  • @maximusDMR

    Hi Ben, Thanks for the Video, I think I have messed up with my campaigns and basically created a separate campaigns for a specific targeting.
    So, because today there is no way to move ad sets between campaigns I need to create campaign from scratch or build new one on the existing one, the one which performs best, is this good way of doing that? This way I have already a good amount of data, but I read somewhere you said for that big changes we should build a new campaign to let algorithms learn in new environment.
    The structure I'm trying to achieve is: MAIN PAGE LIKE CAMPAIGN -> AD SET LEVEL [ 1st AdSet Woman ENG | 2nd AdSet Men ENG | 3rd AdSet Woman ESP | 4th AdSet Men ESP ] -> AD LEVEL [1st Ad VIDEO | 2nd Ad IMAGE].

When new ads are put into an ad set but they almost no impressions, is facebook seeing the older ads in the ad set as more successful and therefore just keep showing those ones and *not* my new ads in there? This is a regular occurrence for my ad sets for whatever reason.

    Very informative Ben! Regarding the pocket theory, you touched on campaign level but what happens at adset level for example if i want to scale a winning adset is it a good idea to scale it by duplicating the adset 5 times for example and putting into a new CBO campaign with a high budget? On the basis that FB chooses specific parts of the audience in each adset. Thanks a lot

    Hi Ben,
    Quick question regarding new campaigns. Currently I have a campaign which has been running for three months for a particular client in a set niche.
    I have now obtained a new client which is for that same niche. However I would like to start a new campaign for them for reporting etc. However I feel that starting a new campaign will set back as I will lose all the data created in that current campaign.
    Is the only down side to starting a new campaign would be the data and that Facebook would have to go through the learning phase again? Or would it be best just to continue the current campaign and create a specific adset for the new client ?

    When I dupe an ad, I'll usually try to target a specific country or an audience to see how it do. If it does well, do you recommend letting it run in that new campaign or do you add the audience /country in the existing campaign? Hi Ben, as I already said I learn much from your videos. I'm presently running my 1st Lead Generation campaign and is now in the phase of scaling. My campaign is currently active. During the audience test period (I did with CBO because of much overlap with Interest based audience), the campaign was 4 days long. After 3 days, I know that I will keep 2 ad sets out of 6.
    At the end of day 3, while the CBO campaign was still running, I decided to first increase campaign daily budget from 10€/day to 20€/day. Then I extended the end date of 2 winning ad sets of 7 more days. Then I duplicated the 2 winning ad sets one time into the original CBO campaign.
    After all those modifications, I could see that my original 2 winning ad sets shifted back to learning mode again, and the 2 duplicated ad sets are in review mode.
    Is this situation normal? or is there any particular order of doing things to avoid the winning ad sets to shift back to learning mode? and if there is, what does it look like?

    Hi Ben,
    You mention in the video (at 12:35) that if we, for example, have a campaign with 4 Ad Sets, and, if 2 are performing well and 2 aren't performing well, you'd pause the two that are not performing well and duplicate the other two, make adjustments and run the new two along side the two that were performing well.
    My question is would that negatively affect the future performance of the campaign since the original setup is changed (6 ad sets inside the campaign, 2 paused, 2 new, 2 existing) or the campaign would just go through a learning phase again and we could expect FB algorithm to optimize?
    Thanks,

    • @BenHeath
      @BenHeath  2 года назад +1

      Any time you make an adjustment, you could negatively impact your campaign. But the potential upside is worth the risk. If the ad set does really well, that could lead to massive improvements and scaling opportunities.

  • @kymyeo3157

    Hi Ben, just to clarify, if one of the ad sets or ads are not working for reasons as explained, then you would just duplicate and delete the affected ad set or ad in the campaign? You would not duplicate the campaign as the other adsets or ads are performing and not affected, right? Thanks

    Dude, you need to slow down a bit. Your accent is thick as it is and you going off at 200 miles an hour makes it very hard to follow you! Also trying to switch to a diction closer to standard BBC English might help your channel. Just saying.

    • @BenHeath

      Are you sure you're commenting on the right video? As British accents go I have a very mild one. In fact I think I most people would say it's pretty close to standard BBC English - especially in comparison to most of the country.
