my great grandfather used to roll the snow covered roads in stow and north fryeburg maine (about 150 miles SW of bangor) in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
@@LifeofThuy not anymore...I have family there and visit as often as I can. maine is a very special place, explore as much of it as you can! best wishes.
Id recommed Kennebunkport Maine. You can get a picture taken ar Walkers Point, George Bushes House, and visit the St Anthony Monastery which has a 1.5 mile walking trail with outdoor statues and shrines. It's free to visit along with the chapel and gift shop.
@@LifeofThuy I'd recommend 1) the Bangor City Forest has nice trails cityforest.bangorinfo.com/trails.htm 2) Hollywood Slots is a popular local destination. I rarely gamble but enjoy the atmosphere 3) Mason's Brewing Company is a nice pub with scenic views of the Penobscot 4)Mount Hope Cemetery is a charming cemetery and inspiration for Stephen King. It appeared in Pet Semetery the 80s film 5) Bangor River Trail and Downtown is fun to explore. Downtown has lots of small eateries and businesses with nice architecture reminiscent of the cities heyday. Outside Bangor, Nearby Bucksport has the Bucksport Observatory and well-known bridge, Fort Knox and the Friar's Brewhouse Taphouse where you are served delicious homemade dishes by friars/month
@marviecadacio It was very nice during my stay in Bangor! I hope to visit again in the summer when hopefully, the weather will be a little warmer! You should go there sometime -- very nice, quaint place

@RichardSabean I will have to try that and see (smell) the difference!
I don't like Maine. People don't know common courtesy.
@*motorcitysoul Hi! I'm sorry you feel that way... my interactions with the people in Maine have been pleasant.
Is that so? I live here and I'm courteous.
Yes because nothing says common courtesy like THE crime ridden, drug infested Motor City!
How cool!! It looks like you had a blast!
Yes it was a nice trip, and I will be returning soon!
Lol I stumbled on this because my wife is also a Thuy.
Hooray for Thuy's! :-)
