Once you have everything assembled, Flex plate on Harmonic balancer on, you should do a couple of revolutions of the engine, just to make sure everything turns smoothly and nothing binds up. Better to find out now than after the engine is back in. It also helps set the timing chains in place. Keep up the good work, Many are learning from these awesome videos. Like I've said before I have rebuilt hundreds of engines, but I enjoy watching your videos They are great.
Thank you for making this video series Ryan. I'll be honest, I'm looking to replace my timing chains and oil pump but I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed. Not sure if I should pull the motor to do them or struggle with it in the truck. Any thoughts?
Hey Ry! I have a 05 SE, 2wd automatic. Just hit 200k and sometimes when there is strain on the engine at idle when warm the oil light will come on but I barely tap the gas and it goes off, it almost seems like a low idle problem, it sometimes gets to 550-600rpm if I were to put the car in gear from park or neutral but goes off after a few seconds. Also seems to be maybe because it’s now hot out? I also switched from synthetic to high mileage recently. The car is pretty much not compensating for it, could it maybe be an alternator problem? Please get back with your input! I replied to you on the pressure “problem” Video but thought I would stop by on here so you can see it!
Hey Donnie. I would look at doing a relearn of tithe idle controls. I have a video on it (for the Xterra but it should be the same). Thats free and does not hurt to try. If that does not work I would start diagnosing your IAC or MAF. Sometimes those will cause a wonky idle.
@Rythecarguy I love the fact you tackled this. You honestly made it look easy but you also pretty much tripled Checked everything. Why didn't you use assembly lube on all Friction materials?
@@chrisxavier3782 thank you. I appreciate it. I didn't use assembly lune because I am crazy about following the factory service manual to a T. it tells you not to and to only use oil. Sometimes I convince myself the thing will blow up if I deviate even in the smallest way. 🙃
@Rythecarguy I can see that, it's what I wouldve done too. Can you make a video on what you would've done differently? And I can't stress enough how more content creators should post on screen the Torque specs or verbalize it. Spot on work.
Thanks for the shout out man! You're a solid dude! 🤪
Meant every word! Thank you.

That's amazing, thanks bob.
Thanks!
Hell yea, thank you so much man.
Thanks🤘🤘🤘
You rock! 🤩
The whole process was very well presented. Montage worked for me. Like the white color choice.
Thank you! I think it will make it easier to spot leaks LOL
@@Rythecarguy Great idea, didn't think of that. Boy, that Ry the Car Guy.....not just a hat rack!
😂🤣
Looks sweet! Picked good colors, semi gloss. I love it!
Thanks! I'm pumped
🤘🤘
Omg Scott thank you so much. I do really appreciate you.
No twin turbos? The montage was good. This is a very solid well presented series, I am enjoying it!
Haha as fun as that would be. I'm a stock kinda guy after modding cars in the past. Thanks man.

I am convinced that this engine would look much better in my 06 Xterra.
😆
I like the montage.
Thank you!
@3:33 what orings are those? I can’t find them
Hello, I have a question that maybe you can guide me, what is the torque for the flywheel for a titan 4x-pro 2012 flexfuel
Flywheel? You mean flex plate?
Did you replace the oil cooler gasket or did I miss that along the way?
I did not. Engine is coming out again soon so I will probably do it then.
@@Rythecarguywhat are you pulling it out for?
@@DarrenBoxhall I put it into an Xterra. :D
Do you have to remove the whole engine for the upper oil pan gasket?
Ehhh, I mean you can probably take it out without pulling the engine but it would be tough and a lot of work on your back,
@@Rythecarguy *update* i dropped the oil pan and all is good thank you man! 👍 got a new one in along with a new sensor !
So much simpler than the Vk56VD varient
This has been a great series but i wish you would have cleaned up & painted the pulleys and other parts.
Well luckily I'm gonna pull it out again. Maybe I'll do it this time around. And thanks, glad you like it. 👍🏻

@@Rythecarguy thanks Ry! Gonna be doing driver side valve cover this weekend so I’ll clean all that stuff while it’s off

Ooh I love that video idea thank you
Why not remove oil cooler? you removed everything else. Would have made removal of that bolt so much easier.
You know, I don't know. Maybe I was just over it at that point
@@Rythecarguy nice video series.
@@TitanTown thanks man. I appreciate it. It was a ton of work.

@@chrisxavier3782 plus I knew I was going to prime it too. So it's less critical on the main bearings when you prime the oil system.
