Omg John, thank you so much! This is my first $100 super thanks. You just using the the videos makes we feel good but I could not be more grateful for you. 💪🏻💪🏻 how is it running?
Congrats Ry...sooo impressive. Your honesty and transparency are almost as impressive as your skills. Many folks would have just omitted the hiccups...but those trial and error lessons are invaluable. You are quite a good teacher and videographer.
Thank you so much. I really try to show and authentic experience without making it TOO boring lol. I appreciate you watching and following along with me. On to new things!!
hey man my name is Mikel Fulchi i also have same year titan it blew a head gasket so i decided to do a full rebuild happened to come across these videos you made and youve been a major assistance to me through this process ill be setting it back in the truck in about a week major help youve been i appreciate these videos
Just started watching this series, i bought an 04 titan as a project car and looks like i'm going to have to do a transmission swap on it. very nervous but encouraged by your videos. Already replaced spark plugs, valve covers/gaskets and oil cooler gasket so I'm starting to get my feet wet. Good news is the engine is in great shape so a "simple" tranny swap and I should be golden!
I didn't start watching this series until episode 8 or so but man, this is an amazing accomplishment. I have never really been a "car guy" but I'm all about fixing stuff and taking care of my tools so I had to learn how to take care of my truck as well. This takes things to a whole new level. Thank you man. What a great useful channel or knowledge.
Congratulations Ry, don't worry about the smoke, my Camry did that for few days after the rebuild. It's all the oils on the gaskets, seals, new parts, etc... As far as JB weld, that was genius, I personally used it to plug a small hole in a leaking metal cooling line, worked great, I give it 4-5 hours to dry, it wasn't pretty but worked. 😂
It's some feeling to finish the job, but it's completely a different world feeling to see the first result of all your hard work. I felt your sentiments when you first saw the oil pressure and you were holding you head in excitement because that's how much you put into it and it meant to you. I'm so happy for you, congratulations this has been a 'Titan'ic job! Also, just a video suggestion (unasked though), you could include some b roll, not a lot, like when you first took it out on a ride, I wanted to see like a slow mo rolling out of the garage or like on the road taking a turn. Just a suggestion. Congrats again! Loved it :)
Thank you. I am so happy to have this done and have it running. I don’t know what I would have done if something catastrophic happened lol. But so far its been great. The B-roll is a great idea. I really need to get better at showing the result of my work. Maybe Ill do a full follow up video and it out on the road/trails.
I am following all your videos, had many problems with my Xterra 2008 that I could fix thank you so much for all what you are doing, God bless you from Morocco 🇲🇦 🙏🙏🙏God bless you and God bless America 🇺🇸
@@fabioernesto5041 great! We ended up towing a camper about 3000 miles with it after I broke it in. Then I put it in the storage in Kentucky for a while and I'm about to take it back out. I'm very excited.
Love the videos man great work plus you remind me so much of myself 😂 i have a titan that is starting to leak from timing cover and oil pan im thinking of just taking while motor out and redoing a lot of things i mean it runs perfect right now but has 225k so i should probably do timing chain set and oil pump and all seals and gaskets
Hey Ry, thx so much for your post on the Titan!! I really enjoyed all of it and got inspired to work on my Infiniti QX56. I bought an engine and starting deassebling to swap it with my infinity, but I just relized that the one I just bought has 2 oil sensor in the font and the engine that's in the SUV has 1 in back of the engine close to the break fluid. Do you have any suggestion on what I can do? I also had a question on where you can find the factory information on the engine for the bolts and so on?
"Acctually its not the oil sensor, it's the crank position sensor that has two of them in the front of my new engine and 1 in the rear by the break pump on my old one ."
@@Rythecarguy Yes, two infront of the the engine by the timing chain and one blow by the transmission. The engine that I bought is 2007 infiniti qx56, and the car I have is 2005 infiniti qx56. Right now I'm kind of planning to just swap the cylinder head, but I'm not sure yet.
Cooling system is very important I would've replaced it with an aluminum radiator before you put it back together. Not to mention that old one you resued just recycled all that rust and sediment throughout the engine...
@@Rythecarguy would you do me a favor? i just finished working with mine but i can't make it start, could you give me some tips? it starts, there is gas pressure, gas, sparks, pulse in inyectors but it doesn't start yet!! please!!

Really want to thank Ry the Car guy. Just rebuilt my 2005 Nissan Titan engine....could not have done it without these videos. Thank you!

So glad to hear that! It’s what this channel is all about. 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Congrats! Great series. Provided the knowledge I needed for this swap into my skyline
Heck yea!! Glad it helped you out.
Watched the entire series this weekend. You did a great job! Wish I had a garage to pull mine and do something similar.
Thanks for watching! Its a ton of content and I am really glad to hear that people are getting through it.
Ry, I have a 2006 Nissan Armada which is the same as your titan. However, your videos got my pump to do for my truck. Thanks dude!
Awesome man I hope you enjoy it

Very impressive. Loved your work. You can definitely say that this truck is all yours. You should be proud.
Thank you. So proud of this beast. Unless I get the rebuild bug again I don’t think I will ever know a truck as well as I know this one.
You can just hear the accomplishment in your voice. Loved this video.

Thank you and thank you for watching. Hello from America! 🤝
I've watched the whole series. Great work! If you wind up replacing the radiator get the Stillen all aluminum radiator.
I’ve heard they’re too thick and the fan has a propensity for hitting the radiator and destroying everything.
Yikes. Ill have to look into it.
Great job, Ry!
Thanks man
Im scared to do my Armada!! It has over 250K miles on it and after seeing all your videos I'm still scared 😅 but I did learn a lot. Thank you!!
It's a ton. But it's worth the work and really rewarding.
Great work man . I’ve done a vk45de from a Infiniti fx45 .it’s very similar to this one love working on them . Congratulations.

It's ffiiiinnneeee lol, I did replace it with a new one when I moved that engine into my Xterra. Another video series. So it should be good to go.
The price is about the same, so what made you decide to rebuild the engine vs buying a rebuilt engine?
So I could do it myself.
@@Rythecarguy Got you, wasn't sure if there was anything different or not.
Hello did you have to re flash ecm afer installeing?
Nope!
Tnx
Hello I have no fuel pressure. It turns over but , no start. It seems throttle body not opening. I have new fuel pump installed.
What headers did you put on it?
Well I call them headers in the videos but it's just the exhaust manifolds and cats. I with with eastern catalytic from rock auto. OE replacement.
My '06 needs to be rebuilt...you interested?
Sounds fun but I'm currently living in my camper traveling the country.
