    I tried other platforms but Poshmark works best for me. My closet has 3000 items, split equally between clothes, accessories and home decor and my sales are divided about the same. Most of my items are priced under $100 but I've had some high value items sell for up to $400. I especially like the way Poshmark makes bundling easy and affordable for the buyer.

    I list many of my heavier items on poshmark because of the up to 5 pounds limit shipping for about $8! Also, people can easily bundle if they want to purchase more than one item and they can all be shipped together as long as it’s not over that limit.

    I don't even sell clothes usually. I LOVE Poshmark because of the way they do their fees and shipping. The downside is that you can only sell to your own country. As a Canadian, that does present problems.

      They are high but fees on eBay have gone up again, too. And remember we have to pay those fees on shipping and taxes on eBay. And if you calculate the price of your store into the fees there may not be much difference. Or you may find you are spending more on eBay. Not to mention paying promotion fees also.

      I agree. But ebay atleast has protections and a customer service you can actually call. Poshmart really has no excuse. Kinda odd they don't have a number that is easily accessible. If they have one at all. While I don't need it. I never could find it just in case. And there emails are just automated crap.

    I make sales on Poshmark but I'd say like maybe 1 every week or so out of 500ish listings... It's so easy to list on Posh, so I just keep posting on their platform. Plus, I've sold some non-clothing items $100+ on Posh and typically what I sell isn't even clothing! I feel like I sell the most clothes (vintage mostly) on Mercari and Ebay. Depop also is like Posh for me personally. I sell more home decor there than clothing! Btw Kat, your teeth look AMAZING! I can only dream of the day! (After I pay for all my kid's braces lol)

    What sells is what you list! I have been an online clothing seller since the early 90's and have a following of regular buyers. When I list non-clothing items, they take forever to sell. I know if I listed more non-clothing items, eventually they would sell too. My point? List and you will sell; keep listing and you will sell more.

    I really need some help/advice. I made a $200 sale on ebay of rare MA Hadley dishes. Theyarrived broken to my buyer. How do I go about the refund? Does ebay cover the loss?? I thought I understood this when I issued a refund for something in the past and I think they covered it. Is UPS responsible for the breakage?? I am so upset about this. Not about the money, but about all the effort I put into the sale and packing the box - and it turned out I did a bad job :-)

    • @TheNurseFlipper
      @TheNurseFlipper  Год назад +2

      You are responsible to pay the refund. I ask the buyer to open a item received damaged claim and then it will give you the offer to refund them. eBay does not cover the loss if the issue was shipping and packing and item arrives broken.

Have you or anyone here experienced having put up an item for sale and almost immediately you get a message from someone saying they like the item and want to buy only they can't see the posted pictures. They'll ask you to email them to their email address. In one instance, I got an email from someone who asked for more pictures of a scarf they liked saying they just bought it and that they paid. Poshmark doesn't say anyone bought anything. From my experience, every new item I've posted, I've had people pretend to seem interested and ask for more pictures. The profiles of these people have no listing. Are these scammers? Do I need to look out for scammers on Poshmark?

The format is not easy to use and I can't really make the offer I'd like to make which is a dollar amount and a shipping amount. Too bad because the seller is missing out on a sale. If there are any tips on how to do this, let me know.

I got pummeled with follows and sharing of my items, and one woman messaged me and said I have to start sharing and following everyone...is this how it works? Or can you just sell like on eBay. I feel this is so time consuming and distracting. almost like a social networking site I don't have time for that. My question is, I guess, do you have to be constantly socially active to sell items? Or can you just list and do your own thing. Thanks for any info on this.
