      Actually it’s lucky ME since the purchase came out of the household budget instead of my sewing budget. My husband claims that was “accidentally on purpose “ 😂😂😂thank you so much for stopping by and offering help and responses to questions REALLY kind of you 🤗

    Gini, LUV the pink stripe caftan/tunic. You're right---perfect pattern for the fabric. Silky , slim , cropped pants will be excellent in lieu of leggings. So cute!!!

    Like Rosie_ie, I too am jealous - such great makes! I also never want you to move that calendar to any other month but May. Hahaha! I have yet to make a size 16 top front with size 12 back, but now that I have said that I have probably jinxed myself... I accidentally made a fun summer top by chopping off the sleeves on a toile of the McCalls M8 8144 sweater. I had made it miles too large (I really don't know my measurements) and when I lopped off the sleeves the shoulders draped great. And it has a lovely cowl neck. As always, lovely to see your videos. Thank you!

      Thank you Georgie! How short did you cut those sleeves? Bicep? 💪 elbow? It’s a cute pattern. My sister in law gave me that calendar and I love it. I often forget to change the month so chances are you’ll be seeing May for a while oops I just realized it’s already June 🤣🤣🤣ok time to change the calendar

      @@thebigsewalong hahaha! They were dropped sleeves, so they just 'drop' to bicep-ish length. Cut out another version in a grey/dark lilac knit with a small diamond pattern in the weave from my local store Bolt (Portland, OR) . Divine store! Can't wait for your next video and update on the new Etsy dog-bowl (pics please!). Cheers!

    Hi, Gini! When I have things that don’t turn out as pictured in my head, they are re-cut or in your case, those pants would become PJ’s. I love how we RUclips sharers always share our: Don’t do this! I have a friend here that teaches sewing classes and she tells us something to not do and follows it with, “Ask me how I know!” Then we all laugh🤣
    Kaftan pattern is cute! I want to see the large floral😊

      @@TrishaMoore-qy4cy I had wondered the same thing but when I checked the instructions there's a small opening and button at the back neck, right? I'm wondering if it's loose enough to omit that. Buttons there always get caught in my hair!

    • @TrishaMoore-qy4cy
      @TrishaMoore-qy4cy 3 месяца назад

      @@ctaylorluce ah yes... you must be looking at the Adeline Dress.. there is a button at the top. The v-neck is high and would squeeze over your head... I can with mine but its tight. I have considered removing it and making the neck wider - it would be a simpler sew but I like the high neck. Anyway I suggest taking a little of the whole way around the neck maybe 5-7mm or 1/4' (body and facing) and this might work. PS I get the hair and button thing it happens with me too!
