Hope you enjoyed the video! Tom was filming a video for his 2nd channel which can be found here ruclips.net/channel/UCHC4G4X-OR5WkY-IquRGa3Q ....our video will be out in January so keep an eye out! To be in with a chance to win the ice cream maker which we have both signed, please see the video description. Cheers! **clinks glass of tea**
To be fair Barry and Tom, that Apple crumble tea is better if you steeped it for a bit longer and have it iced. It's what I do with their Turkish teas.
The jaffalicious does normally give chocolate and orange notes but I think you've overbrewed it. I didn't super enjoy it as a flavour but all the flavours were pretty well represented, sometimes you've got to give the bag a stir too before adding to the pot because it's not uniformly mixed after storage
"Green and pungent - you're not selling it!" Welcome to our world, Tom. At least Barry seems to have stopped saying 'stench' when he means 'scent' or 'aroma'.
Is there anyone else you'd like me to collab with? I haven't done many? Help me out and reach out to them if you like....i'm hoping to do videos with James Hoffman, Beard meets food and Emmymade soon, we've had some brief chats so keep an eye out there, but keen to push this a lot more.

We need Barry, Tom, and Ashens in the same room at the same time, maybe even Clive while we're at it, I feel like things would go off the rails preeeeetty quick.
Adding cheese to tea, yes, I used to melt cheese in my tea as a kid (and to be fair a few times as an adult as well). Also, I think Tom need to try some good teas, just like he did with the coffee. If you are used to substandard Lipton English Breakfast, or herbal infusions of things that are not tea (mint, apples, everything in this video), you might be in for a surprise if you try something like Gunpowder, Lapsang, Black Assam or a Russian style samovar tea. Or a high quality Earl Grey for that matter. And having the huge flavours out of the way, there are the more subtle ones like Darjeeling and Sencha.
'kaffe ost' (coffee cheese) indeed is a thing here in Norway too. I get the idea that it kinda warms the (goat) cheese, maybe even melts it a bit, but I don't like coffee, and I'm not a fan of goat cheese either...
I hate to tell people what they can and can't enjoy, but gunpowder and lapsang souchong are some of the lowest grade, mass produced teas to come out of China. If you don't mind that, then that's great, but personally I'm not a fan. I'd recommend trying a Yunnan style black tea, which are often sold under the name "golden monkey tea" here in the west. Tie guan yin's are also great, especially the jade oolong (green) varieties. You can't find the good stuff in super markets, so I'd recommend ordering online from a good tea store.
Love that you’re trying T2, it’s my fave Aussie tea brand. My favourite flavour is ‘New York Breakfast’ it tastes like pancakes & maple syrup. It’s great with a dash of milk
This was a fun one. Enjoyed Tom's reaction to the second one that was called Licorice but apparently had a very strong mint flavor. You looked like you enjoyed yourself as well. Enjoy your evening.
I absolutely love T2! On the expensive side for tea, but you can mix some flavours to make some really delicious tea. I mix some of the sugar teas with a berry tea to make my own mulled wine tea. I have a huge cupboard at home full of T2!
I love T2, as soon as you mentioned the orange boxes I knew it'd be them. In general though I find fruity teas benefit from a little added sugar or honey help bring out the flavours as well as a longer than recommended brewing time 😊🍯☕
Can I just say, just with the intro, I love two of my favourite RUclipsrs coming together! I love that Tom was up for this and I love that Barry was like "Yep, doing a show with Tom, brill". Really love that this is starting to be a thing again where channels have fun with each other. I love both Tom and Barry for their very different content so this was lovely!
I was thinking "It's nice that Tom does collabs with some smaller channels" but then I noticed your subscriber count is over 920k now, when did that happen! Congrats on the progress.
Thanks for this funny video talking about the deep of flavours. Our tongue are a very amazing tech machine and who desings those flavours wants (one of the things) to create more thana flavour on you. Thanks Barry and Tom 😊

I'm not sure what the box said instruction wise but it does matter what quantity of tea you use, how hot the water is, and how long you brew the tea for. I saw it does. 1tsp per cup so you only need 2tsp for two cups but if you want more you can add more like 4 tsps. The water it said was not suppose be about a certain temp. Of the water is too hot it will burn the tea and give is very astringent taste and metallic taste as well. Too cool and it will give a weak tea( this is for hot tea obviously there is ice tea) so that might have effected some of the tastes. I worked in a tea shop for three years so now I know way more than I should about tea.
Next thing you need to do is make 1L of Birthday Cake Tea Wine. 200g of sugar, 3ml of lemon juice to adjust the pH, 10ml/g of Passata for nutrients. Then pitch 3g of bread yeast. Allinson Easy Bake Yeast is a good one. Let it go for a week then put it into the fridge for a couple of days. Will be about 12% if it goes dry.
Fantastic video Barry! Love the fact that you have got Tom Scott in for a video. Good luck on the road to the 1 Mill ! Also Can we please have merch from your daughter of ' confused as a fluid' Thanks !
@@MonkeyJedi99 They definitely weren't brewing any of them properly. Every T2 tea flavour has specific brewing instructions on the side of the box. Pots will always need a lot more tea than a cup.

You need to check out Bird & Blend tea! They’re fantastic. Also for 1 cup of tea you need about 1-2 tablespoons of loose leaf tea to make it strong enough. Also the temperature of the water will change the flavour. It doesn’t always need to be boiling water!

Did you know that police codes start with the number 10, such as "10-4" for acknowledging a message, not because the 10 stood for anything but because of their technology at the time when the police codes were implemented. Their radios on the old tech would take a half second between pressing the button on the mic and the radio starting to transmit, and police on the beat were always impatient and could never be trained enough to remember to give the radio time to start transmitting before sending their reply code, leading to missed communications. They solved this not by better training, but appending "10" to all the police codes, so "10-4" literally just means response code 4, but having to say ten first gave the radio time to start transmitting so the "4" could be received. Tangentially, have you noticed how long it takes youtube to start playing the beginning of a video?
