Congratulations on the buck! You need to get some foam covering on your tree stand rails. Then you can confidently use them as a rest for your cross bow or gun with out the clanging noise i was hearing when you xbow would contact it. Also some canvas skirting around you seated area will allow you to move your hand and feet so the deer wont notice those small movements. These little steps will increase your chances of killing a buck! Best of luck to you!
@dcranch4820 Thank you so much for the advice! Yes, I need to do that. I noticed that too during the editing. I was very loud. Im learning. Maybe next year I can get a monster.
Dude . Have you practiced that shot before. You can’t shoot a weapon that is sighted in right hand with your left hand. Especially if you were trying to shoot with your right eye . There’s no way that’s accurate .
@DavidBridge-u8d I have practiced with a rifle but never the crossbow. I can see how that holds true to a bow, but crossbow with a scope shouldn't matter. Luckily it worked .
@ You couldn’t do it with a bow with sites . You wouldn’t even be able to see them . He’s lucky he was at an angle. A straight on shot would have went right through his gut or leg . Not an ethical choice to be. How badly do you need that kill to risk an off handed shot. Even with rifles to many people just pop shot into the woods and I’ve seen some that didn’t even bother to go look. Remember this is this guy’s second risky shot. The first one didn’t go well. That would have taught me a lesson. Never again.
@DavidBridge-u8d shooting left or right handed makes no difference in this situation. The scope is dialed is based on the eye relief window not how you hold the xbow.
Congratulations on your first crossbow buck!!
@@Wisconsinsportsman Thanks brother!
