Got to see you guys earlier this Year in Indy with Dispatch and G love. Loved it. Would see you guys again in a heartbeat if the opportunity comes to fruition again
Before anyone rips these guys, I suggest they spend at least 45 minutes at one of their concerts. One of the most positive musical influences touring today. OAR has followed the business pattern of Jimmy Buffet in regards to how they market themselves. In order to do this, you have to be a great bunch of musicians and they definitely meet that requirement.
I remember watching this on Vh1 every Saturday morning while the song was on...I have been jamming to this since its release date... brings back so much memories. 2018 and still loving it!
I might be the only person from the hood that listens and loves this song. It used to come on on the late night/early mornings when VH1 played videos and I had to take my daughter to school... Great memories 😢
I remember getting up early when I was a kid/young teen JUST to watch VH1's music videos and that's how I discovered this song and Shattered. Good times. Also brings back so much freaking nostalgia from my life then.
These guys played for free in my city about 10 years ago. When they played this song the entire fity had this cool synergy, it was like the entire city was one big dance party❤❤
One of the best bands around, period. If you have not seen them live, you are missing out. As good as they are recorded, the shows will knock your socks off.
My mom and dad have raised me on OAR for the longest time i have been to about 6 OAR concerts and my mom has been to about 14. Its our favorite band. Like you said they are amazing live! during one concert at red rocks that i went to Richie Sambora came onstage! i only remember about 4 of the concerts i have been to because im 14 and was super young when my parents brought me to concerts but still they are amazing!
You are correct sir. I've seen them live at least 15 times. Epic live performances man they have come along way from the 100 people shows at Orlando house of blues.
because they never sold out and gave up their rights to the record labels. they were more independent and had more control so they got a lot less exposure.
This was my jam when I was in high school. KS95 in the Twin Cities played this A LOT back in the Spring/Summer of '09 and heard it frequently in my old Acclaim(my first car). Hearing this takes me back to the summer of '09 cruising the streets of my hometown Red Wing, MN in the Acclaim. Good times!
This is so crazy, I bought Goo Goo Dolls tickets. OAR, plus Fitz and the Tantrums are opening, so I'm going back and listening. Now I'm even more excited for the concert!!!
How did this song not ever become a top 40 hit? It has hooks all over it. A rock tune with enough funk to actually be able to dance to. Well done gents(OAR)
Back when every weekend they had over 100,000 people at every race. Nascar has dropped so much lol. The commercial with this song in it was the best one and was so perfect for NASCAR
I don't remember how many years ago it was but back when I used to go this summer camp there was this one year where it rained for 3 weeks straight. I remember being soaked through my clothes and getting back to the cabin with a friend of mine, and he went over to his ipod and started looking through his songs. He finally settled on this song and it made me feel lkke I didn't care about the rain for a while. I just wanted to say thanks O.A.R. for making this song
i remember listening to this song when i was in second grade when my sister would put vh1 top 20 music countdown or something. i remember the sun would peek through the curtains and the air was so crisp^^ and when we would wait in the mornings of school, we would just watch our breaths because it was fun lmao. im 16 now and i moved to the other side of the city, but the air is thick and i go to school before the sun comes up so i never get to see the puffs of my breath or the sun slowly rise from the mountains, and morning car rides don't feel like a new day anymore but just another place to get 10 more minutes of sleep.
I saw these guys in Charlotte, NC. a couple years ago. Music was great but lead man seemed a bit tired and just getting through...I get pumped to music that is near and dear to my heart but didn't feel the same from him. He seemed obviously tired from a long road of live events. I had a great time in spite of his disconnection.
NGL I've never seen the official music video for this until right now and it definitely didn't disappoint at all! Dare I say that it healed my current woes? Cause to say anything less then that would be a total bold faced lie TBH.
Modern and contemporary music changes drastically when a generation changes. This was at the tail end if a generation and the beginning of a new one. Great song bad timing for the generation.
this song makes me think about Carteret new jersey oh how I miss it there even if I olny lived there for the first three years of my life the happiest three years of my life

Will forever bring back memories of TFAS summer 2009. Great song.
Just got back from Omaha, and proud to report that this song is still played plenty during the College World Series! Congrats Vols on the 2024 title!
Ik it was doped

I've never met anyone who knew of this song, but every time I play it for people they say they love it... So why didn't this get more famous?!
because they never sold out and gave up their rights to the record labels. they were more independent and had more control so they got a lot less exposure.

Back in 2022!

NASCAR Nationwide Series intro!!! LOVE THIS SONG! Even all these years later 😎
Yes, it is a Nascar song. Was their best commercial ever that had this song
Epic intro
Anyone remember the Braves intro videos with this?
I first heard of OAR in Iraq. Thank goodness my buddy turned me on to these guys. I still like them after 2007, 2008, and 2009.
THIS SONG MAKES ME SO HAPPY
This is so crazy, I bought Goo Goo Dolls tickets. OAR, plus Fitz and the Tantrums are opening, so I'm going back and listening. Now I'm even more excited for the concert!!!
Why the hell did ESPN quit playing this for CWS?
They’re playing it this year
The song that got me into OAR. Best band ever!
Me too! This Town was the song and now I'm a HUGE fan!!!
Wow, best song ever
Same, my older brother is the one who really got me into them
How did this song not ever become a top 40 hit? It has hooks all over it. A rock tune with enough funk to actually be able to dance to. Well done gents(OAR)
Well it did make the Adult Top 40, where it peaked at number 17 if that counts.
2008 NASCAR race day love this song.
Back when every weekend they had over 100,000 people at every race. Nascar has dropped so much lol. The commercial with this song in it was the best one and was so perfect for NASCAR

SEEING O.A.R. TONIGHT PUMPED!
Spent 2 hours trying to find this song. All I knew was the sound of the guitar!!😂

Not sure how this got cut off the end of WA set list.. ? 😢 A show without this song? 😮
I will forever love this song. 💜💜💜
"I don't want it to be the way they wanted!!!" LOVE this song
John Kasich approves of this message 👍🏻

This is the anthem of all true Braves kings
This song totally reminds me of the Charlotte 49ers
I ❤ you no matter what song!!!!
Damn, this song takes me back.

omg a person my age that likes OAR, and is relatable. lets be friends 😂
You ever consider writing song lyrics? Consider it.
Thank you for sharing... It was so great to live that memory with you.
Can’t wait to see OAR at Blossom Music Center Aug 2023🎼🎸🎤
Nice, they are probably excellent live
If you’re reading this, it means you like this song!
Just heard this song today in a coffee shop. Fantastic
Joel McGuiness this is a coffee shop esque song. Actually, lots of stores tbh
O.A.R. you are the best group of the late 2000's. So many amazing songs :D
add early and mid 2000s to that as well..... :)
Super pumped i saw this when you were at light up night in Pittsburgh. Totally crushed it!
I search this song for 10 years and i find it yeaaaa
This song brings me back to when I was a kid in the 2000’s. 09 specifically. When LSU baseball won the College World Series. Good times 😁
Still one of the best jams in 2020.
Theres nothing like an O.A.R. performance.
My type of jams
Omg I haven’t heard this song in yearssssss so nostalgic ❤
Man I miss your music so much
I really like how they use some saxophone in their music! I think it makes it sound really cool!
I just rediscovered this song because of an old Myspace survey I did in 2009. I had completely forgotten about it!
These guys were ahead of their times musically. They'd be a huge hit right now in 2016.
I saw these guys in Charlotte, NC. a couple years ago. Music was great but lead man seemed a
bit tired and just getting through...I get pumped to music that is near
and dear to my heart but didn't feel the same from him. He seemed obviously tired from a long road of live events. I had a great time in spite of his disconnection.
I hear this fairly often in Kohl's, which is where I first discovered it and the band.
The true anthem of Omaha, and Division I college ball!
Bro every game in my collegiate career at least one guy had the hook as their walk up
Memories galore😍
This reminds me of soooo many good memories. And people that i'll never see again. It's sad really.
NGL I've never seen the official music video for this until right now and it definitely didn't disappoint at all! Dare I say that it healed my current woes? Cause to say anything less then that would be a total bold faced lie TBH.
It is a good catchy song.
See ya’ll in Austin
This will allways be one of my favorite songs!
Is it just me or is every one of the guys in this band freakin gorgeous? And Marc Roberge is a Rock God!
Always think of UGA football in Athens when I hear OAR and this song In particular!!!
I think of the 2010 CWS. GAMECOCKS
This song means college baseball to me
I remember this song early morning everyday before school
Actually, Rockville ;). About 15 mins from me, believe it or not lol... and I saw em open a hometown show over at Wolftrap a while back :)
Heard this on the radio years ago. About time i found it again.
Oh my god this reminds me so much of jv baseball in freshman year... those were some of the greatest times I've had
+Alex O'Boyle It was the 'theme' song to the ESPN coverage of the College Baseball World Series in Omaha in 2008 or 2009.
+Curt Stimpson AND they played the opening ceremony concert the night before the CWS began.
Curt Stimpson Good times huh
+Alex O'Boyle The good times are what it's all about.
+Curt Stimpson CWS 2008
Como essa música não fez muito sucesso?? Eu achei ela a anos e adorei e nunca esqueço
Modern and contemporary music changes drastically when a generation changes. This was at the tail end if a generation and the beginning of a new one. Great song bad timing for the generation.
That's a good description. The guitar sound is stylistically similar, and the sax smacks of ska as well.
If they don't open every concert with this, they're crazy.
Yes totally their best song ever
Let’s take this town.
this song makes me think about Carteret new jersey oh how I miss it there even if I olny lived there for the first three years of my life the happiest three years of my life
Sigh...I remember waking up watching VH1 before school this and Carolina liar would be on. Good music
All OAR songs are awesome! Takes me back to better times.
Makes me think of Friday night lights in my hometown. Go Trojans! 😊
this needs more views!
