In case you missed it, here's Part 1 - ruclips.net/video/Ob39-8M17GM/видео.html UPDATE: Ainavi has now renamed the unit in this video to the H5. Their H6 now is an upgrade with better specs.
First of all, you can replace the screen bolts and then install the ventilation ducts. To do these, you need to loosen and remove the front console a little.
Great video bro, I've made the decision of buying the H6 thanks to your first video, now I have it installed and its been amazing, my cars doesn't comes with a back camera but thanks to the Ainavi i was able to install it, thanks for your video
That's awesome! Glad to have shared this gem, hope you're enjoying it! Props to installing it in the mid-winter cold 😅 I'll be looking to install the 360 View cameras when it gets warmer. Cheers
Thanks! Thought I'd closely document everything that went through my (and maybe everyone else's) mind ordering and installing it - really glad it helped ppl out! Yes I was contemplating the 13" but it would have physically covered my vents and emergency button. That was my rationale in going with the H6. Cheers!
Thanks for this… I was having a problem getting the Japanese language off my stock Corolla Infotainment System, as it was imported from Japan. I will definitely get this one.
I think the mic quality is not as great as I expected. The external mic is better than the internal for sure but not by leaps and bounds. It could be better if they provided a more quality mic as well as some sort of user control over the gain. Thanks for watching!
Man I just got mine, and it was super easy to install. Seriously thank you so much for making this video If it wasn't for this video I would have never known about this and I love it so much you are the man
Hi. I liked the video and the way you explained it. I was just wondering if you could use this to track the car's location or as a hot spot. Thank you in advance.
Hey Thanks for watching! If the car is running with a sim I'm pretty sure it can be tracked with any preferred tracking app. With that, yes you can enable it as a hot spot. Cheers
I've installed quite a few Ainavi screens. Thay are the best. Also if you have a car they don't have a frame for, you can ask than and they will send you it. Waiting for the 360 video. They also have 13.1 inch screens, that swivel too!
Great! Thanks for watching! So far everything is well on my corolla, I'm hoping to make an install video for the 3d 360 view cameras when I get to it. Hope your install goes well
thanks for this review! i wanted to change my 2020 corolla u nit for one like you bought but i'm scared of the audio quality and POWER. We all know the audio quality is not a quality in a 2020 corolla but these kinda radios are so small and cheap made, i don't want to downgrade on audio. your review is almost complete. a review on the power output compared to the oem one would have been really interresting :P thanks once again!
Thanks for watching! Yes if audio is a priority I would stick with your oem. As you mentioned the quality on these android units would probably not satisfy audiophiles as there will be noticeable hums and hisses as the volume increases beyond avg. I don't usually blast my speakers so i'm not qualified to say however I'm sure someone here can chime in. Cheers
Hi! Thanks for those reviews! A question I have and I can’t find any answer. Is the external mic is necessary even if the Corolla already have OEM one? Thanks in advance!
@RobertMorazé thanks for watching! The ainavi unit won't utilize the corolla oem mic at all without some sort of hardware mod. I've yet to look at that. By default it will only use the onboard mic on the android unit. To be honest, I've been struggling with the quality of the onboard mic as it seems to be subpar across all asian market units. The included external mic doesn't help much either so I have it disconnected right now until I try out a better quality one or find a bluetooth solution. If it's a deal breaker for you I would recommend buying a similar unit from Amazon to see how you like the voice quality first of these android units as you can always do a return if you don't like it. Teyes is also a good brand to choose. Cheers
@@squishyhammerthanks for your reply! I will install the unit soon with the external mic. I will check if the sound is good enough for my girlfriend. If it doesn’t, I will check for a Bluetooth one. I will keep you in touch ! Regards!
Amazing, about the screen brightness thing, i believe you can set it up with AUTO SWITCH in the notification bar or switch it manually by using dream forest option or time monologue option. I hope that helps.
Thanks for sharing! but I was looking into the actual screen brightness since I always like mine on the night setting theme especially with AA. Driving at night I would always have to manually adjust the screen brightness all the way down, then all the way up during the day. Would help if these settings can be user specified depending on time of day.
Thank you very much for the valuable information you have given us with this video, and also with the previous one. I would also like to purchase this H6 unit for my 2020 corolla. However, I would like to ask you a question. Do you know if the H6 unit provides the information on the consumption of the electric battery like the original radio? My corolla is the version with the hybrid engine. Thanks again!
@luigileccese365 thanks for watching! Yes i can confirm it does provide hybrid info however not sure to the extent perhaps someone here can chime in. Cheers
@@squishyhammer Thanks anyway for the reply. In any case I also ordered a H6 unit (8Gb + 128Gb) and I'm waiting for it to arrive. I will be able to provide you with more detailed information in a few days. Cheers
In response to the question I had about the possibility of viewing hybrid engine data, having also purchased the new and updated H6 system, I can now say that the system does provide such data, although not as in-depth as the original Toyota system. The data can be viewed via the "car information" application
Great material!! it is very informative, respect for your work. There is one thing I didn't find there and I'm curious if AINAVI H6 has it, namely whether the parking sensors work and whether they are displayed on the panel (right left center front and rear the same), could you confirm this for me? :)
Thanks for watching! I'm assuming your onboard parking sensors would go through the canbus system - since my car doesn't have those sensors I can't really confirm myself however I will ask their support team for you if they are displayed or not.. Cheers
thank you for the quick answer, I saw a video on YT with another device in which the author confirmed that the sensors work but not on the screen, there is only sound, not an animation from which the side of the car is about to hit something;) here is a partial confirmation and I'm afraid it will also work without animation. I also wrote to the store on Ali but they only send me a link to the auction with H6 :(@@squishyhammer
@@FarMa-fm3fm Hmm yes its not clear perhaps someone here can chime in if they have sensors. Looking at my reverse screen it does have a "radar" button however I cannot confirm it will display indicators.
" @squishyhammer I got a more specific answer from the store ;): "Yes friend, The radio will fit to your car. The original car sensor can also continue to function and be displayed on the screen. thank you for your involvement;) I'm buying it XD
Still love it! Only minor gripes i've discovered.. probably 10 to 20% of the time wireless AA will take longer to startup or require me to reconnect bluetooth at the start, I prefer dark mode all the time however it can't auto-adjust the brightness of the screen if its day/night (does adjust the dark/light theme though), lastly, the call quality of the microphone is quite horrid. It could be fixed with a better external mic, but then I don't usually have calls in the car anyway so its a moot point for me, not so for others. Cheers!
You are lucky. I purchased the same model a month and a half ago and now it is not booting...even with the file provided by the seller, it cannot be restored...I think you got very lucky.
Seeing how great this radio works for you, I bought the new H6 top of the line with android 13. Ainavi says I don’t need the Canbus but the overlay for doors and outside temperature are not working. What am I doing wrong? Can you help?
Congrats! Thanks for watching! Ainavi may had a another reason for you not to use Canbus may be due to your vehicle but my best guess for those features you would need it for the overlay and temp to communicate with your car system. I would give Canbus a try. Now both options also need to be switched on as well if you haven't done so already (in factory / general settings) and I've found that the outside temp will be read when your AC system is powered on. Again, I'd communicate with Ainavi to get those features working since it may be particular to your car make. Cheers
Thanks for watching! The HDMI port is output only, usually to hook up another screen to the backseat. I'm not really a user of Samsung Dex mode so I can't give you an answer but the ZLINK app in the H5/H6 allows for wired mirroring as well as wireless mirroring. The iphone wireless mirroring is straightforward, however, the android wireless mirroring requires the ZLINK app to be downloaded to your phone. Cheers
My AINAVI experience was terrible. My wires were all in reverse and AINAVI refused to send another harness so I had to take the wires out and flip them. Still my CANBUS only partially registers, I can not relearn the steering wheel controls and I can not adjust any of my car settings. A night mare right ? Well I also had no audio so I needed to splice wires for that, how lovely, now the AINAVI doesn’t interact with my Bose amp properly so it creates a loud static hum, need to try to get a noise reduction adapter now. This whole time AINAVI has denied that there was any issue with the product and said my car was the one with the wrong wiring 😂
Yikes! Sorry to hear that, sounds quite unfortunate. I guess it's not a good experience for everyone, the saving grace is that you sound more technically capable than the average user to figure out what is wrong here. Hope you will be able to sort out the rest of the issues. Have you tried some different CANBUS selections maybe?
@@squishyhammer with the CANBUS I put the configuration as my car model, totally incompatible. The only way to get the CANBUS to register is to switch it to another model. This allows for the steering wheel controls and centre commander knob to be functional (although the volume up and down are reversed). That is bearable. For the car settings I lack any features except the door locks. No data or information on consumption, no digital climate control panel. My unit screen does not ever show the default screen with the car and speedometer, Just bear bones door locks. So my CANBUS is pretty much exclusively steering wheel controls. Now when I try to go into the factory settings to change the ACC to 1 as to slow down battery consumption, there is no option. In fact the entirety of the factory settings looks like it is still partially coded, as if they never fully coded the system properly, some of the options are just lines of text with no actual interactive setting to change. I am going on a bunch and thinking I received a defective model or AINAVI was dishonest with the compatibility of my car (Mazda 6). However most Mazda 6 users do not have these issues so I assume my model is defective, in which AINAVI staunchly refuses. Been an al around nightmare. I will say the build quality is good, mine was just clearly not built properly lol.
@@WaterMelon-Cat Hmm it does sound like something CANBUS related either its no good - perhaps it needs a firmware update or on the unit itself. It sucks I know. You know what, I'll msg them on chat later about your case. Now I don't think I have much pull honestly since the aliexpress system forbids much disclosure other than reg support, but I want to hear their response to this. Hope to help in some way at least - will let you know.
@@squishyhammer much appreciated. I really wanted to like AINAVI. The H6 costs $500 in my country. I guess I am an outlier but there is just problem after problem. Also I have to put my CANBUS as the CX-5 to get any sort of registration, the Mazda 6 is totally unsupported. I think they were dishonest about the compatibility.
Yes if the model supports wireless AA. Another cheaper option if you don't have AA and only wired carplay is the Carlinkit 4 (CP2A) device which uses your existing screen. Cheers
In my opinion would say YES its better than the factory oem. If you really want a more powerful sound processor I'm currently testing a Dasaita G13 unit and its sound quality is noticeably amazing even for an average listener like me. Also surprising is their mic quality seems to be on par with factory in my current tests. Cheers
Thanks for the great information and indepth review. Do you think it is possible to use the improved mic and sound functionality to implement a version of ANC (active noice cancellation) to lessen road and wind noise like in the luxury european cars?
I’m still debating on whether whether or not to purchase this. one question I have is since there is no longer a physical volume knob/radio on or off button, how do you quickly turn off the sound?
I'm actually interested in buying this radio for my car but I would like to contact the seller before buying it. Do you have the customer service email? I couldn't find it on their page.
I had an existing 360 Camera Kit I'm going to use. I've finished filming the front and rear camera installs however the sides are so difficult on the Corolla I'm going with a plan B. Hope it all comes together for you guys to see!
Unfortunately it doesn't utilize the car mic but the internal/ext mic on the unit. To be honest the mic quality isn't that great either so if that's a sticking point for you, you may want to avoid purchasing android head units in general or use your phone instead. Cheers
Hello, could you please check if you are getting the fuel consumption when going into car settings? I got a Prius and can see the energy battery flog screen but fuel consumption is not throwing any data. Thank you so much.
Thanks for watching! Yes I can see data for Fuel Consumption per minute w/ avg speed, travel time, continuous mileage as well as the past history. Must be different for hybrid unless there is another Canbus setting you could try. The hybrid stats doesn't include this info? I rarely use these menus as my corolla dash already displays some info after each trip. Cheers
I had the h6 unit in my jeep compass, but i had to return it because it kept overheating on every hot day after 30 mins of use because there's no fan on the back of the unit to keep it cool. Im now using a teyes unit, and it way better.
@@squishyhammerany updates on this? I'm assuming it's getting a little warmer up there now summer's rolling around. Has there been any issues with the cooling at all? I've yet to tint my Corolla so I'm worried that if I do go through with this I'd get problems this summer due to the heat. Am considering both this and the Teyes. The Teyes CC3 2K has a built in fan that could help with cooling. A bit pricy but probably a good upgrade.
@@asxphxss So far no heating issues however I still think its too early to tell since temps haven't hit consistently in the 30s yet. The fan in the Teyes would definitely be advantageous.
@moizuddinkhanmohammed8054 no issues for me at 30c running AA for more than an hour without AC. I mentioned in my other video I even ran my 360 cam continuously for that long, still good so far...
The home button will take you out of zlink to access any app but as far as gaining internet connection to watch youtube videos you can't while zlink is connected to wifi. You'd have to disconnect from AA unfortunately...
hello, I'm thinking about buying this radio, I'd be interested in how the radio plays, does it not make noise, doesn't tune, is it sensitive enough, because I've had bad experiences with some Chinese radios.
Thanks for watching! To be honest I don't listen to the radio as much but it does resolve many of my local stations with clarity, some not so much. But I digress since it could also depend on the radio antanea. It can be a hit or miss as you said with these chinese units but for me it performs satisfactory. If it's a deal breaker I suggest buying another brand to try out (maybe Teyes?) from Amazon that has a good return policy. That way your purchase risk is minimal. Cheers!
I wonder why the air unit needs to go behind the head unit. When you took off the air unit in Part 1 of the video, the head unit was still in its place. Why putting them back in the reversed order doesn't work? Is it because the Ainavi head unit is larger than the original head unit?
Are you able to call a phone contact by voice control and not have to touch the screen from the head unit WITHOUT using Android Auto or Apple CarPlay? I don't like AA or CP but I want to use hands-free voice dialing.
I also installed my AINAVI H6, but I have a question... do you know how to configure it so that the "Speak" button on the steering wheel activates the google voice assistant, but only in android auto? When I'm using android auto, the AINAVI's wifi turns off automatically, so the voice assistant that comes up when pressing the button can't connect to the internet and isn't the assistant connected to android auto. However, if I press the voice button on the screen inside android auto, then the voice prompt comes up and I can successfully talk to it. However, I'd like not to have to touch the screen and use the steering wheel button instead.
Hmm that's a interesting dilemma. By default, my wheel speak button works outside and inside Android Auto using their respective GA. I'll have to look at the z-link settings perhaps something in there may help. You might also want to try a different model option on your CANBUS settings. Cheers
Hmm I also checked the Ainavi Store seems like there is none for the Cross variation. I would definitely ask through their chat if they will have one specifically for your model. Cheers
It includes an external mic however it also has an internal mic. I got to be honest the quality of either mics are pretty substandard. It cannot use the existing mic on the corolla unfortunately. I'm looking at other mods to improve quality which I'll detail in a future video. Cheers
@@DarrenR Understood. If the mic quality for calls is a high priority for you I sadly suggest staying away from Android units as it seems to be a common issue across the board. Funny enough google assistant has been pretty responsive. Have had no problems executing my voice commands. Other than the mic, everything else has been pretty good. Cheers
Just so you know I'm reviewing another android headunit from Dasaita called the g13 and the mic call quality is pretty great so far. I'd say almost on par with stock. Jus an option for you. Cheers
You mention that you would provide factory password in the video description, but I can't find it there. Can you please add the factory password to the video description?
@squishyhammer I followed you video and successfully installed the H5 unit into my car. The only thing not showing for me is the "Km/H" when I start driving, no numbers show when I start to move. Is there a setting that needs to have this enabled? Also, I have a Corolla 2020 Hybrid and now that I changed out the stock infotainment. The Battery information does not show anymore if and when it's charging, has anyone figured out if you can show this information?
@@TheSlav87 nice! You'll have to hook up the GPS module to see the speedometer. As for hybrid, I would not know but hope someone can chime in here. Cheers
@@squishyhammer The GPS module will show speed without any kind of paid subscription? It's just plug and play? Also in your video you didn't mention where you installed the GPS per se, did you just install it and hide it in one of the side pillars?
@TheSlav87 GPS modules acquire satellite data for free so there's no paid subs. The h5 will use that data to calculate your speed. I placed it at the bottom of the window for optimum sight then wired it down through the dash near the a-pillar. Cheers

GTA. I think the scary part would be knowing how to remove your car's interior trim. You'll have to get used to doing that first. Other than that, everything is pretty straight forward and well documented in the video. You could seek a local professional but it will an extra cost for something DIYable. Cheers
Good evening everyone! I recently purchased the latest version of the H6 system (8-128GB). In the settings there is the possibility to select the vehicle model, but it asks for the password, which however is not the same as the factory settings (which in the new version is not 8888, but 7890). I understood that by selecting the right vehicle model, you can correctly associate the functions with the steering wheel buttons. Does anyone know the password to select the vehicle model?
I'm pretty sure if you chatted with Ainavi on AliExpress they can provide you with such password. It must be a new firmware on the H6 since I haven't experienced that restriction. Anybody here can chime in? Cheers
Hi @Squishyhammer What about the external microphone? When I'm using carplay and getting an call people are saying they can not hear me good. Now I was just wondering how the external microphone works for you. Ainavi support recommend me to buy one for 12EUR from their shop. What is your opinion when you compare the Internal Microphone with the External one? Is it worth to switch to the external?
Sorry I missed replying going through all the comments, I do have issues with the mic as performance wise it is definitely not the best. Right now I've removed the external mic and have just been using the internal which is slightly an improvement. I believe there is some sort of conflict between the two. I've been discussing with some people on some general electronic forums on modifying the onboard mic however that's probably going to be project in itself...
@@squishyhammer Hi, did you experience any trouble with the onboard microphone while you had your original media? I am asking since using the microphone is a key feature for me and I am more than happy with the onboard one.
@@shibosan1 Since the h6 unit has no ability to use the corolla's oem mic at all, it will use the h6 internal mic is what I was referring to. The quality is not-so great now that I've played with it more. I believe the only fix online would be soldering a more quality external mic to the internal leads which i'm probably going to try in the future.
You also mentioned it is an H6 but the video (time 2:30) has the CPU information as Qulacom 8953. So it's an H5 with 4GB RAM and 64 GB memory. But I still love that it's super responsive with 4GB RAM.
@@squishyhammer Thanks for the reply. Is the HDMI port only for the second display or can it also be used as a input device to use a firestick? I need a good affordable recommendation second display for the rear seat passengers. I'm really looking forward to purchasing this.
Does your H5 has clock update issue? I recently bought the H6 for 2020 corolla and having this clock automatic update issue while car is off. Guy from Ainavi checked the export of my H6 but he didn't find any issue. He said it should be updated automatically from GPS. I sent the pics of gps reception and it is working fine but even gps app shows the wrong clock once you switch ON the car after a while. Thanks in advance
@syedzafarabbas5921 try going to your settings, factory, android settings, system, adjust date & time and change your timezone there instead. I currently have everything set to auto but have a sim card. Try inserting an old sim card, it doesn't have to be activated, but jus enough to detect networks, then enable mobile in your wifi settings. It should grab the time from there.
@squishyhammer i changed the tomezone too but once i switch off the car for few and turned back ON the timezone also shows the wrong time. The Ainavi guy said that the clock updates through GPS and their preinstalled GPSProTest app was also showing wrong clock time. So i did one test today i installed another GPS app in my H6 and then that gps app is showing correct clock time. So i think the gps app they linked with the H6 clock has some issue but unfortunately i can't link this new app clock with the display. So i sent the msg to Ainavi and also sent the pic of new gps app clock versus display clock. So let's see if they can update their back hand program and link the clock with this new app.
@tikyoaramis8806 I had contacted Ainavi chat on Aliexpress but there is currently no firmware updates for my particular model. You may want contact them for yours. Cheers
I would agree with you that 3rd party market headunits do tend to lack performance compared to the oem. Since I don't have much experience with my radio I wouldn't expect the world out of this either. The unit does have quite a robust app with fine-tuning. As for static I guess it depends. Some channels I hear perfect clarity. Others not so much but it depends on the antenna and location.

i just ordered one and its on the way! I'm so excited for this upgrade. Thanks for sharing :)
Thanks for watching! That's great hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Im looking at this as well. Amazing video! Do you notice any improvement of sound with DTS? And if yes, how much?
Thanks! Honestly I haven't been playing much with the audio system to fully appreciate the DTS but it all sounds great to me. Cheers
Thanks for this… I was having a problem getting the Japanese language off my stock Corolla Infotainment System, as it was imported from Japan. I will definitely get this one.
Great video! How would you rate the quality of the external mic vs internal? Thoughts?
I think the mic quality is not as great as I expected. The external mic is better than the internal for sure but not by leaps and bounds. It could be better if they provided a more quality mic as well as some sort of user control over the gain. Thanks for watching!
Man I just got mine, and it was super easy to install. Seriously thank you so much for making this video If it wasn't for this video I would have never known about this and I love it so much you are the man
That's awesome! Thanks for watching 😀
Cheers
Loved the video, Thank you. You mentioned about the 3D camera in your Part 1. Are you going to upload that video any sooner?
Thanks for watching! I'm hoping to record installing it in the summer when the weather is warmer. Cheers
I've installed quite a few Ainavi screens. Thay are the best. Also if you have a car they don't have a frame for, you can ask than and they will send you it. Waiting for the 360 video.
They also have 13.1 inch screens, that swivel too!
Tend to agree! I was actually looking at the 13", can't go wrong with bigger if you're able! Cheers
Awesome video! I will be more than happy seeing another video, I just oredered mine the H5 for my Suzuki.
We all know the audio quality is not a quality in a 2020 corolla but these kinda radios are so small and cheap made, i don't want to downgrade on audio. your review is almost complete. a review on the power output compared to the oem one would have been really interresting :P
thanks once again!
Cheers
@@squishyhammer thanks a lot sir i appreciate it !
@tazzzzzz33 I am reviewing a g13 Dasaita unit soon which is a bit more higher-end I'll try to test the sound quality on that one!
@@squishyhammer Noted, thank you.
I see you bought camera 360, i hope you will install camera 360 and uploud video on youtuve
Yes I would also like to see this. I have the same head unit. So I'm curious how you'll like that!
@luigileccese365 Thanks for sharing that info! It will definitely help others here be more informed. Hope you're enjoying your unit
Cheers
Update: So they had replied "The sensors of the original car can continue to work."
thank you for the quick answer, I saw a video on YT with another device in which the author confirmed that the sensors work but not on the screen, there is only sound, not an animation from which the side of the car is about to hit something;) here is a partial confirmation and I'm afraid it will also work without animation.
" @squishyhammer I got a more specific answer from the store ;):
"Yes friend, The radio will fit to your car.
The original car sensor can also continue to function and be displayed on the screen.
thank you for your involvement;) I'm buying it XD
What is the performance on hot days? Does it get hot when you use it for a long time?
We'll have to see this summer. So far there hasn't been any crashes or anything of the sort. Cheers
So, 7 months later? how do you feel about it?
Cheers
Is AINAVI has HDMI port or Can it mirroring your phone wirely for example Samsung Dex mode? Thank you!
@@WaterMelon-Cat What year is your Mazda 6?
Hey! I'm only really interested in getting wireless android auto in my 2020 corolla hybrid. Would their cheaper models be sufficient in that regard?
Yes if the model supports wireless AA. Another cheaper option if you don't have AA and only wired carplay is the Carlinkit 4 (CP2A) device which uses your existing screen. Cheers
Do you think this headunit produced better sound/music compared to the stock?
In my opinion would say YES its better than the factory oem. If you really want a more powerful sound processor I'm currently testing a Dasaita G13 unit and its sound quality is noticeably amazing even for an average listener like me. Also surprising is their mic quality seems to be on par with factory in my current tests. Cheers
@@squishyhammer thanks for the reply! Is it plug and play for the corolla? When can we expect a video? 😁
Thanks for the great information and indepth review. Do you think it is possible to use the improved mic and sound functionality to implement a version of ANC (active noice cancellation) to lessen road and wind noise like in the luxury european cars?
Maybe. Best bet would be getting some sort of Bluetooth mic with those features inbuilt. Not sure if there is a software solution on the H6
I’m still debating on whether whether or not to purchase this. one question I have is since there is no longer a physical volume knob/radio on or off button, how do you quickly turn off the sound?
Oh tapping the power button on the side will toggle mute on the unit. Cheers
Hai Great video. Will this model work with the oem gps module and the oem mic?
I'm actually interested in buying this radio for my car but I would like to contact the seller before buying it. Do you have the customer service email? I couldn't find it on their page.
I usually would use the chat in their AliExpress store, but you have to be aware of their time zone
Which aftermarket backup camera are you planning to get??
I had an existing 360 Camera Kit I'm going to use. I've finished filming the front and rear camera installs however the sides are so difficult on the Corolla I'm going with a plan B. Hope it all comes together for you guys to see!
Thank you
. I ll be waiting for that video
Do you have to use the external microphone or can you still use the factory mic?
Cheers
Hello, thanks for the video. No menu for the battery hybrid level? thx
@PacinoStyle actually it does have hybrid stats according to users here. Cheers
I had the h6 unit in my jeep compass, but i had to return it because it kept overheating on every hot day after 30 mins of use because there's no fan on the back of the unit to keep it cool. Im now using a teyes unit, and it way better.
That is definitely something I'm going to be paying attention to when the weather gets hotter!

Does it allow you to interact with the car settings? For example ~ Day time running lights, door lock settings etc
I believe so, it does have many settings like that for the car however I've yet to play around with that to confirm.
Hi, I have a question. How did you go in RUclips while connected to Android auto/Apple CarPlay. I’m fighting with this for almost a year…
The home button will take you out of zlink to access any app but as far as gaining internet connection to watch youtube videos you can't while zlink is connected to wifi.
Yes for my 2020 corolla the unit physically extends more out to the sides and a bit over the vents

What about the external microphone?

Do you know where to check or get firmware updates for these Ainavi head units?
@tikyoaramis8806 I had contacted Ainavi chat on Aliexpress but there is currently no firmware updates for my particular model. You may want contact them for yours. Cheers

How is the radio a lot of static? After market head unit always had radio problem.

@@tanvirqurashi192 Wow I appreciate that, It's quite the honor! Is it a 2020? Awesome I'll need to play around with the bolts again. Strange your wheel buttons won't work, but I it may be your canbus settings, maybe switch to a different corolla config. I do suggest chatting with Ainavi to see what they recommend. The 360View App that comes with your H6 (switch the camera mode to see the app) needs to be activated by Ainavi (by QR code) themselves - so you may want to politely ask them if it possible for you to activate and install / purchase 3rd party AHD 360 cameras. Cheers
It's 2019. Bought for my wife. Now I'm modifying this car myself. Will install ambientlight and ordered custom leather car seat covers too.
. asked Ainavi and he said to change canvas settings as you suggested. I'll ask about 360 too.
i just finish installation of mine , what a shame there's not alternative for fixing a bracket for the system
mine isn't able to use the oem USB ....
Was your oem USB hookup different?
@@squishyhammer i don't know i plug as they said in the notice but... boh
they sent me two types of wiring (one for JBL i guess) but one of my connector still not plugged in the H6
for future buyers : the OEM GPS/DAB and radio antennas + a connector (a black one) are unused with this device
Do they offer OS updates to the current Android OS? Current ver in 2024 is 14
I believe the latest OS they are using is 13 in the current H6. I'll have to ask support later if they have upgradable firmware for my H6 (still on 12). Cheers
Hey buddy I just got mine for my auris/corolla 2016 version but I’ve got airbag signal that says I’d off and I had two cables not plugged in can you help ?
Sorry I would not know specifically. Best to connect with ainavi support for help. Cheers
How did you get android auto installed?
The H5 or H6 utilizes the ZLINK app baked into the OS to activate wired/wireless Carplay/AA
Hi.. brother my steering wheel controls not working how to activate canbus
You'll probably want to try another model in your canbus settings perhaps one of them will work. Also you may need to go through the learn button process.
Does it support 360 camera
@joecole354 the h6 I purchased does however make sure you confirm with the seller beforehand. I'm currently working on a how-to video for the 360 system. Cheers
For a 2011 ford f150 this head unit doesn’t match up at all on what it was supposed to do
Did you confirm with AINAVI chat about compatibility when you purchased?
@@squishyhammer no I read up on it before buying this item. It said it was compatible with a 2011 ford f150 with all the bells and whistles
@@jbennett77jb It may be prudent to contact AINAVI chat perhaps they can send you a replacement trim or correct CANBUS cable if those were your issues
I've installed the headunit in my Corolla and it works fine, however the Zlink5 app keeps saying "Failed to activate". Anyone has any idea how to solve this? I wont connect to AA until the app activates.
You have to turn on your wifi and connect to the internet. It should register immediately. If not, you can always send the QR code to ainavi support and they'll activate it for you. Cheers
So I bought the top of the line h6 for mine and 8888 does not work to get into factory settings.
@gib651g You may want to give AINAVI a chat. I'm sure they will supply you the right password to get into your factory menu. They must have changed it in a subsequent update.
It's now 0789, can't find the touch calibration though. The android 13 version hides somethings
@@gib651g You have to go to the home screen, touch the display with all 5 fingers and hold for a few seconds. The procedure to calibrate the display starts
What was the Cost of the unit?
I bought my H6 for approx $350 CAD last year although right now it probably has better specs and different prices. Check their AliExpress store
Any idea if there would be any difference in wiring with jbl amps?
I'm unsure. You may want to contact support directly or wait for a fellow jbl user to provide an answer here. Cheers
@@squishyhammer i did contact them and they said i would have to request for a different wire harness. ✌️
@@squishyhammer I got the x6 for corolla. mine has a jbl amp. just wanted to ask you if the fader-balance is working for you. For me the output is coming out of front and rear speakers, i can pan the balance left and right however, the fader front-rear is not working. is it the same with you?
I have the same radio but it does not have the same interface, when I put it in reverse the music does not play, what can I do? thank you
See 12:42 there is an option in your Audio settings to set the music volume to full when in reverse. This is kept low by design for safety reasons. As you mentioned your interface may be different but it should be somewhere in your Audio menu. Cheers
I've searched everywhere and can't find anything
@@coquitolp Sounds like you may have an older H6 firmware which may explain the missing option. I would give support a message to see if yours is upgradable
Make a 1 year review - are there any bugs noticed after a year use?
@Dev-op7kn that would be a good idea! I don't think there are many to be honest but I digress im jus a basic user, the summer heat hasn't caused any problems for me. The only main issue I feel is mic which is pretty low quality. I will have to do some modding to get better quality. The wireless AA a few times takes a while to get connected, and finally I wish they had something to automatically lower the screen brightness at night. Other than that everything is pretty smooth sailing. Cheers
The display doesn't change at night to night mode?
Well the automatic brightness switch I mentioned doesn't seem to dim my screen at night (assuming it should). If anybody else with an H6 feel free to chime in, other than that I may just contact support to see what's up. Cheers
Any place to put a SIM card
Yes it has a micro sim slot. Just make sure your LTE band is supported. Cheers
You have not the H6 but the H5 ;)
I believe they upgraded the specs since originally this was the H6 but I guess renamed it the H5 soon after. Cheers
Ahhhhhhh that's it !!! Thank you ! Great video btw
Does it have RDS radio function.
It does display some metadata on the radio. Cheers
Back its very hot
Yes if it gets too hot for your liking, you can get a head unit fan from Aliexpress that specifically connects to the USB pins on the back of the unit. Cheers
6:54 so you are leaving a free expensive radio for anyone breaking into your car?…. No thanks, I pass on this, also that zlink spyware is cringe
Poor dude. Lives in a ghetto zone where he has to worry about his things being stolen 😢
@@eduarias6251 yes, like the 50% of the people nowadays
With crime rates generally going up and people are more brazen with stealing you're not wrong here. Sad really. BTW I did find out from here how to screw the bolts in (mentioned in my later 360 vid). Cheers
Any update on the 360 camera video? 🥹
Still a bit frosty up here in the north I'm afraid 😅
