Nice video. Would have been nice to see the Vodka brand used and Aloe brand too.

Thanks. You can use any ethyl or even rubbing alcohol, just be sure to use 91% or higher. The aloe vera brand is linked in the article (link in video description).

Hello, I attempted to make this today. My mixture remained watery and the aloe vera seemed to gooey up into a slime. Any suggestions on what went wrong? Appreciate your help!

That is normal, you just need to shake it before each use. To make a hand sanitizer spray, simply use witch hazel instead of aloe vera gel in this recipe.

I made my own hand sanitizer and used two different recipes. Coronavirus is the target, so I recommend going with 70% or higher rubbing alcohol. Aloe vera is great, but when it hits the alcohol it turns into "wet tissue paper." That's the only way I can describe it. It will eventually break down/dissolve-----but when you mix it with the rubbing alcohol DO NOT try to put it directly into your spray or squeeze bottle------mix all your ingredients in a sterilized glass jar and THEN pour it all into your bottle(s).
Aloe vera will be a bit sticky, but not terribly so. It's okay. You can use glycerine instead, if you like. Glycerine isn't at all sticky and is easier to mix into spray or hand sanitizer. Use rubbing alcohol, glycerine (or Aloe vera) and some drops of an essential oil-----whatever you like best: lavender or eucalyptus or tea tree oil. My spray recipe also calls for a bit of hydrogen peroxide. DIY has the recipes. Easy to make.

I think I'll just imbibe of the high-proof vodka and not worry too much about the hand sanitization :)
