Its a game that teaches you to remember the people you love and who loved you, wether they are alive or dead. It wsa awesome !
Just got done playing this. Its a top tier on my list.

OX: That was really hard to turn off last night but i had to because of a early am meeting. But as soon as i could i picked it up where left off. Wow, what a game!
This is such an amazing game, it's my all time favourite indie game. This game pretty much got me hooked on indie games.
When I played this I somehow had missed Gregory's story. You missed out on Molly thinking about eating her fish. There's an achievement for knocking in all of the pool balls with the crutch. This game is so sad. Milton "escaped" he was part of an Easter egg for another unrelated game. There is no in game explanation for what really happened to him.
Oh and there's also an achievement for knocking down all of the letters in the tub.
And an achievement for letting the sailor finish singing.
It’s been a while but I’m back here after I just played the game. Had no idea if you played this or not but it felt so… you. I immediately hit google and typed in “what remains of Edith finch oxhorn.” I knew somehow you’d find this game too! Your an amazing story teller and to see you get to sit back and what a game do what you do best was like watching two masters mellowly enjoying their craft. Keep it up man!

If you overthink things in this game you'll get confused never overthink it it always explains it at the end and most of it's simple
Accident prone family and they decide to build the rest of the house on stilts on top of the old one....brilliant
About the fusion core in the back conversation, I think what people forget that Army does movements in teams. So it would natural for soliders to assist each other with changing out cores.

That was the most depressing game I have ever seen and yet I could not stop watching it. The story was so bizarre yet connected and it was beautifully done. I cannot say I would ever play it, but it is unforgettable...
If I had the means I’d probably be the type of person to buy it just to support the creators

I will say I loved watching Firewatch and it reminds me of this game. Only thing is the ending was not my cup of tea and the fate of Delilah’s arc was upsetting

I see that people quite dislike that ending. I personally don’t, to me it kind of feels “real” in some way, like that’s what probably would happen in real life. We know Delilah runs away from her problems or decides to ignore them, for example doing that job in the first place, or drinking during the job, so while it was a surprise for me at first, when you think about it it kind of makes sense. But it would have been great to meet her ngl
Dead Fox I definitely wasn’t too upset with the ending and it is fitting, but I wanted to see her, you know? Just a tangible character, as I know many people wanted to. I still loved watching all the gameplay.

After playing this I was led to play The Unfinished Swan, and from there Giant Sparrow became my second favorite dev!
If you ever get time I recommend it but it isn't a streaming game imo. Its so poignant for such a short game and really gets its point across. It makes you gasp in wonder and awe but it is NOT as sad.
Hey Ox, I don't know if anyone has said it yet (it didn't look like it) but the story of Milton has been confirmed by a developer as being connected to the company's other game. Milton is the "king" not the protagonist from the other game. So I guess we're supposed to believe that there is a little something supernatural going on in this game.
I'd played this game before but I really enjoyed revisiting the story with you. Might I recommend you try Oxenfree? It's also a story driven game but you have to make decisions that will change how the story ends. Great video, as always.

For next week maybe play Tales From the Borderlands. It will let you get used to the art style of the borderlands games. This should also be a good fit for scotch and smoke rings. Dark and funny with some bad dad jokes and has Patrick Warburton

Regarding playable ghouls and super mutants in Fallout 76, they could treat them somewhat like vampires and werewolves in Elder Scrolls online where instead of a separate race they are something you convert a preexisting character into, presumably using radiation to become a ghoul or using FEV you somehow find to become a super mutant. Speaking of ghouls and super mutants, I think it would be awesome if Fallout 5 took place near Chicago, where the Brotherhood of Steel is much more open-minded and supposedly accepts ghouls and mutants. Being able to play a Brotherhood of Steel ghoul or mutant would be a different new fallout experience, and having the local BoS being the good guys again would be nice.
Ox why don’t you go through the game options and turn off music, I am sure most games have the option of adjusting the volume of it

Oxhorn, you should try out ori and the blind forest. It seems like it could suit you. It's not rpg or anything, it's a popular platformer.

I'v never tried to use the mouse and keyboard function on my consoles. I would assume that remapping wouldn't be that hard if they allow button remapping options. like changing the jump button from a to b. I know some games don't allow that function at all and i would expect those games wouldn't work with them. Steam kind of does that already. I grew up using the controllers. Using the keyboard and mouse has been a challenge to get use to. Going from remembering 8 buttons to so many more also can be a challenge for me.
I also thought about the power core. In my fan fiction I wrote They didnt reload. But adding that to the game would have been inconvenient and would have broke the combat up. but you brought this up as I wrote this lol.

No she did not kill her daughter the Holly branches were already there for the holidays and the the mom sent her to room without dinner because she was being bad she probably locked the door cuz she didn't want her to get out cuz she was in big trouble

My favorite segment was Barbara's story told in comic book, first-person action format. Though tragic, it was energetic and humorous, whereas all the other segments were pretty moribund (not to mention, easy to predict what would happen). The isometric RPG segment was well done, but as soon as you saw the fish head chopper you knew what would happen. Regarding Molly's death (1:34:25), Ox said her parents might have tried to kill her with the poisonous fruit. But it seemed it was put there as decoration (Molly might have put it there herself). I think Molly's parents just sent her to bed without supper, not knowing the poisonous fruit was there. Overall, I loved the game, but it had too much of one thing for me. This story-game genre is still in its infancy, though. It started with Gone Home in 2013, and it's got better and better. Games like Edith Finch and Firewatch proved that story games can have interesting interaction too. This genre used to be so primitive that you just clicked through various unexciting visuals and interaction that didn't involve you with the story at all. Many people look down on this genre and call it "walking simulator." But this genre has the potential for breakthroughs in game design. Storytelling in games is still pretty low-level. Games can only tell *certain* kinds of stories, and can't handle *high-level* storytelling, such as that in classic movies like Pulp Fiction, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Mulholland Drive, Parasite, Roma, etc. Video games need to evolve much further to be able to reach that level. And what genre is best positioned to achieve that? It is the walking simulator genre, my friends. I'm closely watching this genre for this reason. And I'm glad Ox, whose primary interest is storytelling, is showing interest to games like this.
The real question is how are they writing how they died

@Aurora Alchemy RUclips has issues processing videos over 4 hours long. That is why Oxhorn tries to limits his streams to a 4 hour hard cap.

More of an interactive story than a game, as there's no player agency...but still a well-told story, nevertheless. :-)
