  • Here I show you how to access and change the high-beam head lamps in a 2013-2015 Lexus LX570 with the Premium Package. There are two different headlight assemblies for this range of year models as I understand it. The Premium Package has HID for low beams (which are much easier to change/recognize) and the Halogen 9005 High Beam lamps. What will also give you pause is these lamps are positioned 90 degrees from the downroad pattern, meaning they sit "sideways" in the lamp socket.
I hope this video helps you easily understand what to remove and where it is.
    You will need:
10mm socket/wrench for removing the battery cable terminals
12mm socket/wrench for removing the battery hold-down clamps
Two new 9005 lamps of your choice
Possibly a flat blade screwdriver to loosen the wiring harness clips

UPDATE: The new 9005 Silverstar Ultra lamps DID provide a brighter downroad light, but not much. I am going to investigate what other items can be adjusted/etc., to see if we can get a brighter field of vision down road on these LX570's. Right now, I must say I am terribly frustrated with the brightness of the high beams. I'm going to look into aiming adjustment/etc.

Just wanted to add another update - I felt like the OEM headlights and bright lamps on the 2013-2015 LX 570 were horrible. I realized that the aim of the headlights was very low, illuminating the road close to the front of the vehicle way too much. I also had the driver's side bright lamp crooked in the holder, so it was not doing much in the way of helping, either.
I will do a video soon showing how to adjust the up/down of the headlight beams; I raised the alignment a good bit, fixed the 9005 bright lamp in the socket correctly and now I can see MUCH MUCH better at night with the factory OEM headlights. You really need to raise the alignment of the headlight assemblies up to get the light down-road.
I'm very happy with the results.

For some reason the dust cap on mine is SUPER stubborn and even turned counter clockwise as far as it'll go, it will not release or pull out. Even tried pliers on the tabs.

      Is the housing cold?
Maybe turn the lights on and let it heat up some

Thanks for the video. I have the stock lights on my 13 LX and looking to upgrade the lights. Any recommendations. Thanks in advance.

Do you mean the entire housing? I don’t care for aftermarket stuff much.

I wish someone would fo a video on switching out low beam! Can't seem to remove the bulb. Do you just pull it straight out or it a push and turn? It doesn't want to move!

Are you talking about a 2013-2015? These are HID bulbs. Watch this. It's for an RX350, but it's the same procedure for the LX570 HID Low Beams.... ruclips.net/video/-TvC9T0N14s/видео.html

Did you figure out how to aim the high beams? Mine are even lower than the low beams 🤦‍♂️

What you need to do is adjust the entire housing with the adjusting screws.
I can't find the video at the moment, I will try to dig it up. If not, I will make a video this afternoon.

I'm not sure. Do the 2009 models have HID low beams and Halogen High beams?
