There are two spawn points for anomalies, system, and base, system anomalies will never spawn inq or scout but will also never change level. Base anomalies will spawn anoms at the bases level and can spawn inq and scout anoms. Example, I’m in a system with a lvl 3 base and I’m getting level 3 and 4 anomalies. The system spawn level 4s, the base spawns at its level. And yes,I’ve seen many level 1,2, and 3 scout and inquisitor anoms. There is also no way to tell the difference otherwise between a system and base anomalies
yea I was thinking about what he said, I live in a really cozy 0.8 and by farming t2s with t4 destroyers, I been able to make 3mil which for a returning T6 player is quite nice. (3mil per scout, but I suggest t4s since ships here can drop scraps t4, which are STUPIDLY expensive right now.

love the videos, Benzie but a few things you should have stated. 1. Do your best not to destroy the bases( SORT BY NAME). 2. Security level does not matter so if your just getting your feet wet you can make or find these even in 1.0 security. 3. I have found as you said the more gates the better but the more anoms the better as well. ( 0.7 with 6 gates and 9 anoms tends to throw a nice mix) 4. as someone stated even a base 1 will throw rare anoms but will be lvl 1 : lvl1 =3 lootable, lvl 2=4, lvl 3=5, lvl 4=6 (lvl 4+ with give a chance of the better rigs t2). I also recommend lots of gates w/ anoms +6 do not loot and grind grind grind even on base 2 - 3s I can make 25mil to 75mil an hour. I think it seems to throw less for me at base 4 maybe due to the quality of loot in lvl 4s.
Do think it’s worth noting (as far as I know,) that the only place to find ORE ships in the last bonus waves of med and large is in Outer Ring. You can go here and farm strip miners, which sell for millions. A unique way to make isk solo.
Also, from the second you kill a "base" anomaly and leave it so it disappears, it starts a 10 minute timer. Another "base" anomaly will guaranteed spawn in 10min exactly. If you dont kill another "base" anomaly before the next one spawns then the timer will be halted and restart again once another "base" anomaly disappears. If you kill another "base" anomaly before the first one respawns, the timer will restart as soon as the first one respawns. Hopefully that helps

You said that Scouts & Inqs do not spawn when bases are below level 4 - is this a new thing? My home system can only go as high as level 3 & I have been able to spawn level 1 inquisitor & scout anomalies when the base has only just started off weirdly, those level 1 scouts & inqs have also fetched me a good 20m isk worth of loot at a time in the past too. I haven't tried farming them for a while though, hence why I thought I'd ask. If there hasn't been any changes in how things work recently, then I have to say that the point about scouts & inqs not appearing in systems with pirate bases below level 4 is incorrect. I will go on a ratting run in my home system later to verify whether or not this is the case though
The only way I know is that system anomalies respawn on a different timer than base anomalies. Base anomalies respawn on a 10 minute cycle as long as there's an open spot- for example, anomaly spawns at 10:05, the next will be at 10:15, then 10:25, etc. (As long as you've got at least one open spot in the system for it to spawn). System anoms are on a much longer timer (haven't confirmed but I think it's 30 minutes). So as long as you don't have a base anom already waiting to spawn you can tell the difference by killing an anom and seeing if it respawns in less than 10 minutes. It's not ideal, but afaik working off this principle is the only way.
Thanks Benzie, I hope this stops new players from killing bases, (the base mechanic really needs to be explained better particularly for low sec). I am pretty sure I have come across a level 1 and 2 scout/inquisitor anomaly so I don't think they are hard locked to level 3 and above, though such low anoms rarely drop anything useful.
well now... after a week of farming lvl1-2 rare anoms for some 4 hours a day i got over 1b in loot (estimated price). Best thing is all is done in hi sec. its increadibly boring and i got se fed up i didnt do it since.
I spawned several lvl 2 and lvl 3 inquisitor and scout anomalies today... so not sure where you are getting that info, but it's wrong. Also, the spawn rate is certainly much higher than 1% for the Scout and Inquisitor anomalies... my understanding is that they are closer to 15%... 1% for the Deadspace perhaps? Finally, the base does not generate all of the anomalies in a system... but killing only the base generated ones spawns the special anomalies.
Its not true that lvl1 lvl2 lvl3 base is not spawning inq or scout, im doing every day anomalys everywhere each day i spawn dosent lvl3 scouts and inqs there are also other ppl doing lvl2 lvl1 and thos bases also spawn inq and scout, you can also run into lvl1 2 3 on the way everywhere...
I currently rat in a system with a lvl 3 base in Low sec and get about 3 special anoms every hour. Every Scout gives 15-30 million ISK and Inquisitors give me between 500k and 30 million ISK, I usualy get ~20mil every hour. Considering that I can almost always escape it's a real easy and good way of making ISK. You can even do Base 1 systems in High Sec and bei compleatly safe whilst getting a few million per hour. With a frigate you can even farm 2 systems at the same time.
Only base-linked anoms can spawn specials. Track time from spawn->new spawn. Multiples of 10 minutes = base-linked. Multiples of 15 minutes = system-linked. System-linked anoms, never spawn special anoms.
Straight up lie about the inquisitor and scouts, could have just said that you haven't found any below t4 and if anyone has they can let you know, but maybe they don't when you play on a test server
But dude you're the biggest information outlet people have on RUclips, low level special encounters and knowing about them is such a huge thing for new players because its a chance to earn some good isk for the first time. Yeah you're right about the deadspaces though

Just as a side note, strip miners used to drop universe wide. With the update that added the new e war and pirate anomaly mechanics, this change that.

How did you get the Overlay which denotes which areas are on your Starmap? Is there something you click in the game to highlight it?

t6 deadspaces u can solo in a cyclone lol and inquisitors and scouts are easy to solo in pretty much all ships

Where did you get your info on spawn rates? I ask because there is no way that deadspaces spawn at the same rate as scouts.
Deadspaces spawn at 1% rate. Other special anomalies spawn at a 15% rate but only spawn from base-connected anomalies.

Yeah there’s definitely Inquis and scouts from lvl 1 - 10. Deds are the only one that have a min spawn of lvl 5
