Leopard Gecko Bioactive Remake and Update!

Today is the time to remake and update my leopard gecko's bioactive enclosure. The gecko gets new plants and cleanup crew for a beautiful fresh enclosure.

That looks great! You’re doing amazing for only keeping for 3 years! We’ve had our male leo, Joker, for 12 years and he always comes out on my hand when I open the tank. He’s been in bioactive for 4 years, now. It’s amazing how much his behavior changed when we moved him into it.

Apollo is great at coming forward (she definitely loves her bugs), but she definitely isn't a "cuddly" leo. :-P I am very glad that she can live her best live here though and get taken care of. It's sad that so many animals are abandoned in terrible circumstances.
Joker sounds like a lot of fun. A lot of people ask me how easy it is to handle leopard geckos and I'm like, "Well...Apollo is a terrible example". It is really cool to see each one has their own personality though.

@@danellescritters I love that you are rescuing Apollo! She will have a great life. I wouldn't say Joker is cuddly, we had to train him by enticing him out with roaches. Haha. It was a risky time for our fingers, but he's figured it out now and knows he's not always getting fed 😅
