Hey i have 2 leopard geckos a male and a female dont worry i take the female in to a different place for the night but i got them for free from an owner who couldnt keep them so i took them now the female came to me in teally bad shape now i think she might have mbd because her legs are thin her lower jaw is really soft and there is like a like kinda sticking on her back would u say its mbd and i dont know the balance between calcium or vitamim d3 i hope u have someway to tell me what im dealing with and ps she wont eat if not forced and it usually takes about 30 mins to feed hwr she is skinny nd always has been from the day i got her and im worried
They should have separate enclosures 24/7. I'd take her to an exotic vet ASAP, parasites might be causing her skinniness. They can also help with the MBD. She may not be eating because of her jaw, parasites, or both. Once she starts eating again, dust insects in calcium every other feeding and vitamins every three feedings. A UVB light would help a lot (if you get one, don't use d3 in the supplements). Good luck!

The comments section will always be super confusing. On one hand, you have people saying great video but other people just comment stupid/irrelevant stuff... don’t take it too personally. These people think they can do whatever they want because they hide behind screens. RUclips is a place to make content and express yourself! I, for one, would love to see an ant video, since I find colonies so interesting. Don’t listen to the haters! They’re literally so annoying and their grammar and spelling while trying to call you out makes me cringe. MAKE WHATEVER CONTENT YOU WANT TO! I always get excited whenever I receive a notification that you posted a new video! :)
Hello ^^ i have been planing to buy Leo Gecko and been wathing many of ur videos and there is so much good things to know and i thank u about that but i have a one question that how does geckos can handle noise like if i like to listen music at high volume so does it hurt them? (little apartment :P but there is room for little guy ^^)
SaMMyH my gecko is quite close to my tv so i try not to put it on a higher volume that i need, it doesn’t seem to bother him at all and he wonders around like he normally would when the tv is off, and he behaves friendly
my gecko does not mind when i listen to loud music but it is different with other geckos
If I put crickets in my geckos tank and she doesn’t eat them do I take them out?
Take on the challenge I would recommend taking them out. They can bother your gecko.

Is there any chance you could do a guide of some sort about crickets? I'm just starting out with reptiles and had no idea there were so many types of cricket, also is there a specific seller in ebay where you get yours? Your videos are a great help and you can tell how much effort goes in 💖

Thanks sm for the tip for getting my gecko to eat. The one of putting a little bit of calcium powder on my finger & letting my gecko lick it off. I just got her & she hasn’t ate in like 5 days and I tried that and within a few minutes she was eating, thanks sm ❤️
Okay so I have had a leopard gecko for 3 months and don't know how old he/she is and im kinda worried since its my first gecko anyway they are about 46 grams and I don't know if that's overweight or healthy they do have quite a round stomach but the do their business (use the bathroom) everyday and haven't seen anything worrying but just kind of worried about the weight so would appreciate any help thx

In America we call them potato bugs or rolly Polly's instead of lice, my crested gecko love's crickets 🦎

Hey, I’ve literally watched all of your videos so many times and I love your channel! I had a dilemma though and wondering if you could help / if anyone on here can offer me advice. I am adopting a rescue leopard gecko from the RSPCA. I’ve been waiting since September (so everything is all ready and set up), as the woman was hoarding 20 of them so it was a big legal case and they had to go through quarantine and get their health sorted etc etc... most are still not ready to go to new homes BUT 2 of the girls have become available. I only initially wanted one gecko and only have one set up (it is large enough for 2, but still.) I know and strongly believe 2 shouldn’t live together and I brought this up with the RSPCA centre, but they insisted that because they are 2 females and they have co-habited their whole lives, they think that it’s fine. So I’m in a major dilemma... Sorry for essay 😂 if anyone could give me their opinion/some advice on what to do, that would be much appreciated 🙏🏼
At least they're both female! Make sure to give them at least two hides each. Maybe you can get a divider?
Fiona Shepley Yeah I’ve adjusted the tank so that they each have a moist hide, cool hide and warm hide and the viv is definitely big enough for at least two, they’ve been living together their whole lives so I’m hoping that it will all be okay🙏🏼 We’re going to visit them at the rescue centre and see how we feel and then hopefully they’ll finally come home! I’ll definitely keep a close eye on them when/if they do come home with us. Thank you so much for such a quick reply!

Don't dwell to much on the bad comments. Constructive criticism is one thing, if it's meant to help, but most of the negative comments are from adolescent kids, who got their computer,or IPAD from mommy and daddy. They troll RUclips channels because they don't have anything better to do with their meaningless lives. They probably get bullied at school, which is a shame, and make their selves feel better downing others. Keep up what your doing, because your doing a wonderful job!!!
Hi, I tried looking online but i didn't find a conclusive answer... I've got 2 female leopard geckos and they've laid eggs more than once this winter, do you know what is it that makes them start producing eggs? one of my geckos lais really big eggs and it becomes a bit of a problem... I know you'll probably not read or reply to this but .. here's hoping.
Woodlice are not just cleaning crew, those your breed a side you can give them to feed your gecko. My leopard gecko loved it and it's verry nutrisius.
If they're from the wild, they could give your Leo parasites...
Ik i'm a bit late but maybe the workers killed the queen. In some species of ants the queens don't rule the colony, instead they are basically egg-producing slaves to the workers and sometimes the workers cull their queen. I'm not an expert but i read about that somewhere
I'm sorry you have to deal with the complaints about the ants :/ it's likely they're expecting your content to be similar to the top ant channels but they seem to forget that you're not them.
I for one enjoy your ant videos! And in all honesty, even with the mishaps and issues, that's just part of owning pets! It sucks when things go wrong but that's where you learn from your mistakes and try again!
And I think that's where a lot of people have issues, either it's perfect the first time or you can't do it. But that's not how life is for anything. You'll fail the first time at anything. Who knows, you might fail at one thing at first, greet the hang of it, then another issue pops up. Things just happen and you just learn from what happens to prevent it again.
I'm more then 100% sure that the top ant RUclipsr's have failed colonies, I'm 2000% sure they still make mistakes. Things just happen and it's part of the experience. You'll never know or learn unless you try and fail, even if that's multiple times.
So, again, I'm sorry that people have issues with the ant videos :( and I wish you luck in the future of making them. I just hope that they won't make you stop, especially if you enjoy it.
Mr. Lemon I'm not saying criticism is all bad. She described the criticism she was getting wasn't helpful but just people saying "you did a wrong" and not explaining how she could fix it. I've even seen those comments in her other videos of her ant keeping updates.
It's not "crying" about haters. It's about being discouraged because of the lack of encouragement. Sure it happens, that's life. But as a content creator and having many people complain about something you're doing without explaining how to better it tends to discourage you from even continuing. That's where the problem is.
Criticism becomes a problem when there's not a constructive way to fix the issue being said. Criticism becomes a problem when it starts affecting your mood to the point it seems easier to just quit.
If it was someone giving constructive criticism, sure, I'd see what you mean. But the fact that the examples she's mentioning are not the constructive critiques but the blatant discouragement. That's where I disagree.
Yes, you'll always get hate doing anything on the internet. Yes, you learn from criticism. But you don't learn from someone saying you failed. You don't learn from someone laughing at your mistakes. You don't learn from the negativity of others.
And to add on, the fact she's mentioned this issue in previous videos should be telling that this isn't just an "oh the haters" but that she even considered not showing us updates on the colony as a whole.

you're not supposed to feed crested geckos worms. It's hard for them to digest and can hurt them!!! Stick to dubia roaches and crickets!!!

Just saying.. feed the fresh pupae (that you called cocoons) because they develop a exoskeleton and that can cause them not to eat, drink or move around proper....
My Leo won’t eat worms 🤔🤔 he goes for crickets but whenever I give worms he just looks at them, sniffs and then goes about his business lol anyway to get him to eat worms? He ate then the first day I gave him some but never again

Dust with calcium every other feeding and multivitamins every three feedings. I recommend crickets or Dubia roaches :)

Hi, love videos, very educational, long time go i kept corn snake. This time around decided to try a leopard gecko. Name him dobby ( Harry Potter). Dobby like to be fed early morning and like to come out for run, then sleeps for the rest of the day. Books give you rough out line of leopard gecko behaviour. Then there small lizard that rewrite the book. When it come down to it, they maybe one spices. But they are all individual. I think i'm going to learn as i go long. At the amount he just eating mealworms and doesn't want anything else and staying in the cool area. Your video was very helpful, i was worryed bit. But one of yours is doing the same. What other insects have you tried? What's the warm side temperature? You could try switching the hides, she may prefer the cold one :)

Hi, about 6 months old, temperature during the day 28c - 30c and was eating small locusts 10. Temperature at night 25c both heated. Cold side about 25c during day, night time 20c. Living in Southampton. Diane Southampton U.K.
I'd try to get the warm side temperature to 32 or a little warmer :)

Hey leopard gecko need your help. Im going to be purchasing a leopard Gecko for the first time. Are the Arcadia Calcium, vitamin powders, And uvb lighting the best for a first timer or should I stick with the powders that they could overdose on.

I have had my leo Zuko for about 6 months now, and I dont have a light for him. He had to be moved for the holidays to make room for our tree, and I worry he isn't getting enough light anymore (he was by a window and I'd open the curtain daily). I only worry that if I get a light it could mess with his supplement schedule. I feed him every 3 days, and do 3 feedings of crickets dusted with calcium and then one feeding of crickets dusted with vitamin powder without D3. Can anyone make me any reccomendations? He's in a 10 gallon with a heating pad on the one side.
A normal light won't affect the supplement schedule. The calcium has d3, right? I'd dust insects with calcium every other feeding and vitamins every three feedings :)
Hello :) have you ever tried to feed Lyra with half mealworm or cricket, making her taste the interiors? I've done that with my geckos and it worked great :)!

Can some help me? My crestie isn't eating and I don't know what to do! Trust me ikk for a fact he isn't eating I pay attention and also he is becoming very skinny and his calcium sacs are kinda lacking. However he will eat crickets and that's where he is getting calcium. I have tried a whole variety of repashy and pangea and he isn't interested! He comes from a troubled past and idk if that has anything to do with it but he is only a year old so not really coming to the age where he is getting ready to pass! Any help would be appreciated
I would stop feeding insects as much as possible to get him eating the other food. He is likely just holding out and waiting until you feed insects to eat. If his calcium sacks are small I would look into maybe taking him to a reptile vet where they could help you determine a proper dosing for a calcium supplement to get him back on track.

Is it possible for a gecko to be allergic to certain foods I don't want to sound like an idiot or anything but my one leopard gecko who is in another terrarium by itself has a very short tail. I thought he had stick tail but that was when I started feeding him meal worms. Then he started having blood on his feces. I'm only 14 and I asked my mom and dad if I could take him to the vet but they were telling me that the vet isn't going to do anything. I don't know what to do but he started having a skinny tail when I started to feed him meal worms. I need help. I don't want my leapard gecko to die.
Ugly Under The Mask try crickets or Dubia roaches. Tell them that he might have parasites and really needs to get to the vet. Good luck!

of course! mack snow is the morph of the gecko and their are hundreds of morphs. morph is the kind of genetics and the coloration. its like having a yellow lab and a black lab

i own ants and love them, but the idea of feeding your leopard gecko ants is a great idea, as long as you dont feed alive queens its fine to be honest. just dont feed queens and you shouldnt get as much hate,i also get sad when a queen dies i was crying when my first one died.but good idea!
