- arcadeheroes.com - Need For Speed is back in arcades but under new management and with a new attitude. Based upon the NFS Heat console game, this has been greatly redesigned to fit with what works in arcade, making for an exclusive arcade experience. You are racing against other cars on the street when you come across police blockades - this is when a chase ensues. Can you stay ahead of the cops while taking down your rivals?
This is Adrenaline's first proper racing arcade game - it has nothing to do with redemption.

Damn, wasn't expecting this. This now makes me think that there should be a arcade release of Burnout Revenge (that game was awesome, and comes from EA as well)

It reminds me of GlobalVR's NFS Carbon Arcade, but this one looks much better! Looks like this one lets you play several races in a row in a Speedlist-like manner, and there are police pursuits, too!

Yup! Carbon was the last one. I don't know if there are any arcades near you but if there is, given the reaction I saw about it at the show, I think it won't be too difficult to find.
Whaaaaaat? I did not see this coming! I played a lot of the underground and carbon in the arcades, I don't like it that much because of the staticy chase camera. I'm excited for this release, I hope they have more cars in the final release!

Burnout would be an awesome arcade game they should add those to the arcades instead of the new NFS games

Thx for your movie but I'm a bit skeptical for this new game... It's not bad at all, just a pity that it's only night races and the circuits are nothing exceptional I think
I’ve had a chance to play this and I was honestly disappointed. The presentation of the machine as a whole looks amazing and does a great job at attracting people to it. And the game runs phenomenally at a solid 60fps. That something the console versions never even got close to. Even playing them through backwards compatibility on a PS5 or Series. But the gameplay gets really stale really quickly. Handling takes no effort or skill at all. No thought is required to get around the tracks at a decent pace. The cops are really more of an annoyance than a dynamic part of gameplay. They can wreck your car even if you try to fight back or avoid them. The AI cars rubberband pretty ruthlessly. The nitrous doesn’t feel like it does anything more than add special effects to the screen and is only a one use spray on a cooldown.The tracks are reused from Heat which isn’t an issue but the added walls make them feel like glorified slot car rails. The five cars that were included have inaccurate stats and carries none of the customization over from the console version. It just feels like a half baked game that slapped together Heat’s assets into a poor arcade port. This doesn’t even hold a candle to Carbon’s arcade version. Each track is only ran for 60-90 seconds with no choice in which one you can play. And there are no leaderboards, which should be a must for arcade racer.
You can even hear some of the licensed music from the console game play in the background at race start before the arcade version’s music kicks in. It just adds to how slapped together the game feels.

They should make a Gran Turismo and a Forza arcade as well.
Somehow this looks more fun than the actual game imo, besides the cops taking you down 2 hits.
the way the cops taking down the racers are too quick and not fun at all. they should at least make it like the actual game where you have to be crashed to the wall to be stopped immediately. i mean a 3 seconds respawn after getting taken down from 1st place to last is just not fun at all.
