    I am a new subscriber and had asked on a video how to tell grade. As I've gone through your prior videos, I found this. Thank you for posting and explaining :)

    Bravo! GREAT VIDEO! Thank you for taking the time to show this. Much appreciated. I have been saving silver coins for quite some time now. I always put the "pretty ones" aside separate from the others hoping to one day learn more about grades and prices. I have my work cut out for me for a good little spell.

    Thanks for the info and web address for grading coins. I have many coins that I need to guesstimate their grade for their value. I started keeping all of my silver coins back in the late 1950s before everyone knew that there was going to be silver taken out of our coins. This constitutes hundreds of silver coins, so I have quite a bit of work to do. I can remember going to the bank and asking for silver dollars in exchange for a dollar in paper for a dollar in silver. The banker would bring out a bag full of uncirculated Morgans some dating as far back as 1878 so that I could pick out the ones that I liked. I got as many as I could afford at the time and I still have them. Those sure were the days! Even as a child I had an eye toward coin trends, thanks to my Grandmother who helped me out.

    Found a 1959 penny. Can’t believe it’s still shiny. Newest penny compared to 2000’s pennies. Kept thinking it might be a mistake then I found 3 1961d shiny brand new pennies. Someone must’ve been collecting and someone spent them

    Hey, thanks for the link! The pcgs link for mobile is awesomeness. Don't know how I've missed that - I've only been collecting 35 years, so I'm still new at this.....

    Since you are using PCGS photograde, why not also use the online PCGS price guide? www.pcgs.com/prices/ is usually where I find prices, since it is update with actual transactions from Heritage, coin shows and EBay.

    thanks the information, question, what is FR 2 & PO 1, I don't remember seeing it in any books

    • @MasterOfCoinage
      @MasterOfCoinage 7 лет назад +1

      FR2 stands for Fair-2 and PO1 stands for Poor-1. They are essentially the lowest gradings an identifiable coin can receive.
