Your video was very informative. I recently came across two rosevelt dimes that to my surprise had a very polished finish to them. I have never come across a business strike coin with such a beautiful finish. It caught my attention immediately. Based on your video I can now put a description of proof like to its appearance. Prior to watching your video I wasn’t sure what I had. Thank you.
I appreciate the way you cover everything. I just need more time in my days to watch them all 😂😂. Like learning if fat letters and numbers are considered DD, and if the l on liberty is an error when it is in the edge line. 🤪🤪 so much , i’m loving learning!!! I can’t wait til I have a natural eagle eye ,so I don’t stare at the same coin, for 10 minutes with my loupe, hoping to find errors! 🙏❤️ God bless J&B❣️
OMG, now your peaking my interest in silver dollars. I haven't seen Any silver dollars in years! I'll have to investigate getting some. They are awesome, but Can confusing. God bless videos.
It’s Robert sovich , long time viewer . I learned a lot from you’re channel ,got my second batch or graded franklin proofs back . 1957-1960!. Thought my1960!was the worser out of bunch I was wrong beat out of bunch. Now I got my 61-64 half’s to do of my goal 1957_1964 graded 0f 0f 66and 0f 67 s thanks my name is different. Started a RUclips channel which is why. Don’t recall my real name
I enjoy investing in a variety of things. While I have always loved coins and collecting them I have branched out over my lifetime to include, art, precious metals, antiques, and pretty much anything. I truely love the process of learning new things and the history of value and what will make things increase in value. While I know you focus on coins I thought I might find like minded people here that might appreciate good information. While watching a program on Netflix, Nova: Search for the Super Battery, I saw the future in batteries. The company that produces them is not publicy traded yet, Iconic Materials INC... I would encourage people to research and follow them as they are worth learning about.
I collect modern PL, proof like, quarters. They are usually very affordably priced and I think that is because most people don't know they exist. They are made when a new die is used so the strike is fresh and on occasion, PL. I find the quality and beauty of these for circulation coins to be an overlooked treasure by most collectors. Considering they are meant for circulation a great many are likely lost to circulation before a collector runs across them so buying them cheaply now seems like common sense to me. I love having bright siney PL coins meant for circulation and like I mentioned before, usually for cheap.
PCGS doesn't even have the PL in their price guide for these so it is easy to see why many don't know they exist and have to count on own opinion as to value. I think this will change over time and PCGS will eventually add them to price guid and I would think their value would go up when they do. Considering most people don't know they exist ;-)
Great video thanks. I enjoy looking through coins that get a details designation in UNC condition. I found a 1918 D mercury dime with FB that didn't get the designation because of the details issue. A 1918 D with FB is way out of my price range but because of the details, improperly cleaned, I was able to get one greatly discounted. I removed it from the holder so that it will tone naturally over time and will submit it later once the very light cleaning is less obvious as toning makes the surface less reflective. I also like the "stained" coins in UNC condition. NGC offers restoration service that can sometimes remove stains and add huge value to these "stained" coins.
I don't know the exact process NGC uses but through research of my own I have found numerous acids that don't react to silver or copper and are as safe on them as water. There is also a process that removes tarnish on a molecular level that has no effect on the silver and copper in coins.
I haven't had the courage to try these things on my higher valued coins but I enjoy getting cheap coins with issues and practicing on them. For anyone who considers doing this also remember, friction is your enemy. You should never use any abrasive technique on a coin.
Lastly on the topic of my 1918 d mercury dime with FB. The day I learned that coins with "detail' issues don't get FB designations I went looking for them. Crazy as it was I found my dime within an hour. This lead me to believe it would be easy to find more but I was just really lucky. It's been years of looking and I haven't found anymore but due to the one I found I know they are out there and keep looking :-)
Takes a while for someone to acquire this skill I would definitely have to have a second or third pair of eyes before drawing a conclusion. Thanks for the info.🤗
I just want to say. Thank you for your videos. I just started penny roll hunting. And i want to say . you have make my hunting experience super easy with all your information. Thanks again. If you can send me a shout-out next time your make video. I am otis becerra "the rookie"
As are all ;-) Even the graders change their process on occasion. I collect the burnished silver eagle series. Early in their production they received the MS designation. Now they get an SP designation. The coins didn't change, just the way they grade them.
JBCoinsinc. I posted a video on RUclips search for Jay Braddock's 1996P shadow face quarter please, and let me know what you think about it in a comment thanks

I have a 1960 Lincoln cent.
The color on it is like a bright golden color.
I have a quarter with a weird finish. Can you help me figure out what it is pretty please? I can’t find any answers.
Takes a while for someone to acquire this skill I would definitely have to have a second or third pair of eyes before drawing a conclusion. Thanks for the info.🤗
