Thanks for sharing babe! Nexplanon actually made me swear off all birth control!!!!. I was supposed to have it in for 3 years but ended up taking it out after 1 year. Didn’t get my period for a year straight. Painful Giant cysts every month, terrible acne, and I was an emotional wreck. The freaking worst!!!!!! 😭
Oh wow! I never knew these types of stories until years later. I know everyone’s body reacts differently but I think the older we get the more picky we become about what goes into our bodies. So glad you are off it now!
I truly LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!! This topic was very informative and I can relate. Women constantly battle with birth control measures and their side effects.... Thank you for sharing!!!
Thank you for always supporting 🤍 honestly birth control is always a sensitive topic for women, I just recently learned about fertility awareness podcasts that walk you through all natural birth control. I just wish these things/options were offered in high school.
I get mine taken out today and I’m terrified. I’ve had all of the worst case scenario side effects though and I’ve only had it a year and a half and my gyno wouldn’t take it out so i found another who would, wish me luck!
🥺🥺🥺 this happened to me today they scheduled me with a specialist she said it’s too deep I’m so nervous this is so dangerous I don’t remember being told that it could travel or anything 😩
I had to go to the ER yesterday because I literally went through withdrawal from the implant hormones. I was vomiting, had diarrhea, and then dry heaving for EIGHT HOURS when I decided to go to the hospital. It was awful. I was so dehydrated, I couldn’t keep ANYTHING down - not even my own saliva. Obviously it works differently for everyone, but be fkn careful with this one. It’s like I was going through drug withdrawal or something.
I had it removed last Monday. Friday night I started having uncontrollable diarrhea, massive migraine, shortness of breath, & spotting. I went to urgent care & called the doctor that inserted & removed the implant. They diagnosed it as a viral sickness. It’s most definitely not & it’s scary that they would lie & deny that my symptoms had anything to do w/ the implant being removed.
This happened to me the second time. But I went to the same doctor for both of my implants. When I went to a new gyno to get it removed, she couldn’t find it. Then she told me my previous gyno put the implant in wrong BOTH times! (She looked at my previous scar and saw the first one had been placed incorrectly as well)
I wonder if they go through extensive training on how to implant it or just watch a video and practice once. I’m hearing too many similar stories, and it’s unfortunate
@@britneyford when I asked my new gyno, she said it was most likely because in 2019 the company who produces Nexplanon said to put it lower but didn’t say how low/ didn’t provide a visual. Unfortunately I was probably one of many guinea pigs.
I'm have nexplanon I've been having periods pretty much the whole 2 years I've had it. and now I've just had my period for a month and a half straight plus my emotions are just everywhere but it's my only option for birth control.
This type of birth control really is all over the place. The first one I had I didn’t have any menstrual cycles and the second one was very irregular. I think the hardest thing about dealing with this birth control is the emotion rollercoaster. Have you tried all natural? Just tracking ovulation etc?
@@britneyfordbecause I'm not planning on having a baby anytime soon its not something I've really thought about and looking at all the other contraception methods the implant is really the only one i can use I'm just hoping that eventually it gets better than what it is but while I'm waiting to see what happens do you have any like tips or anything to help with the emotions because i know everyone's experience is different but because it's one of the main things I'm finding difficult especially with my bf just getting annoyed and snapping over little things
