Men's birth control pill, has stopped many studies, due to concerns and complaints about side effects. Meanwhile, women's birth control is still ongoing, even after the fact, knowing the harmful side effects caused by taking synthetic hormones. Let that sink in.
Good for men for knowing better. Shame on women for doing it anyway and also encouraging other women and little girls to do the same. You act like women are being forced to take birth control and undergo the side effects, but they do it fully willingly. It's also their own fault if they don't look into any medications they take to see what the side effects are. I have absolutely zero sympathy for women in this case. You get what you ask for.
Because the male birth control side effects are more severe and can cause many problems men’s health More problems compared to women’s, but I will gladly take birth control even if it has a 90% chance of giving me cancer
Kinda funny how these horrible side effects are being researched only after men’s birth control is being studied, but not after decades of women using the same medications.
@deshaun9473 Most double standards favour women in western society. You cant blame us men for Scams being more potent towards women over men. I pushed my Girl to get OFF of birth control because i RESEARCHED what it does to HER. Imagine, I researched the consequences of Birth control not for myself but For HER. Why didnt she do that HERSELF? Because most women DONT RESEARCH the products they are emotionally SOLD ON.
Yeah, no one! I repeat, no one in the history of medical history have ever, throughout generations, thought about researching side effects for female contraceptives. You're being horribly oppressed by mad scientists who are conspiring, with everyone else in big pharma and the broader medical field, to stop anyone from researching side-effects for women. There's no evidence for this, but that's only evidence that you've been oppressed. There's probably been a secret cabal of powerful and patriarchal MEN that impose and push on you a daily drug that's also unsafe. Oh my god!!! ThE hOrRoR! 🤣
The fact men don't have birth control while women do demonstrates women have reproductive rights that men simply don't have. There's inequality in rights under the law that literally oppression but some how you read that you with all the reproductive are clearly victims and it's been demonstrated in the failure to consider and provide reproductive rights for men.
Birth Control helped me regulate my period and prevent my cramps. I am thankful for it. I understand birth control isn’t for everyone. Birth control helps for multiple reasons beyond preventing pregnancy.
@jtw99235 It’s not getting banned anytime soon due to so many patients needing birth control. I don’t know alternatives beyond the known methods of iud, depo shot, nuvaring, etc.
Some options are getting tested for hormonal imbalances to get to the root cause of problems. Holistic doctors will help in that depending on which doctor it can be expensive or not but those who do it say it’s worth it
@jtw99235there’s an agenda that’s in the works to ban it but it’s for nefarious purpose. It’s to put us back to stay at home wives. Pregnancy in and of itself is a hormonal change that causes large number of the same side effects some pills do to us ( if our body had that issue) it then adds the risk of birth to it.
I stopped hormonal birth control because I’m close to menopause and didn’t want to interfere with the natural cycle. My doctor agrees. This entire video focuses only on women in their twenties, except for the doctors. And that’s the problem I’m running into when looking for information online. More needs to be said about birth control options and issues for older women.
Hello, I’m doing a research essay on birth control. The purpose of my essay is to find if birth control is useful and more effective than other natural methods. May I be able to ask you a couple questions ?
@@plowe6751 🥺 Could be. I've tried two types and one caused severe depression (I felt like it was poisoning my mind) and the other gave me unbearable cramps and increased my anxiety. I'll never use them. Never ever.
@@smrk2452 I mean I make sense because when I first came out the side effects were a lot more extreme. They actually had to coerce and pressure women to try it on a trial basis for research. Actually the only reason that there was a withdrawal week was to mimic the natural menses a woman would get so that the Catholic Church would accept it.
I got real bad depression on the combined and mini pill. I eat clean and exercise everyday, had no contributing stressors. I’m convinced the pill was real bad for my mental health, I’ve been off it for a month already feeling loads better lots more energy
hi, how is it going for you now? im 18 and i've been taking the pill (drospirenone 3 mg etinilestradiol 0.03 mg) for 2 years now and i want to quit because nausea feeling has never gone away and I feel depressed... though Im scared of getting pregnant
What we should be discussing is why the side effects are the exact same for women as the birth control that came out a few years ago for men, but was quickly pulled from the market even though the side effects were the exact same and we still have all the womens bc on the market still... oh, that's right, because it's ok for women to get sick and die from it, but not men. And let's not forget that medical research for women didn't start until 1993. We need better healthcare and research for women. Period. The archaic process for IUD insertion needs to be banned. If you cannot give women a sedative or pain killer for that procedure, you're breaking the "do no harm" oath you took when you became a medical professional.
It wasnt pulled from the market because YOU WOMEN wanted to use it!! Stop acting like this wasnt your great 'female liberation' moment that you squealed about for literally forty years. Lol the ability to shift blame to men for literally everything is incredible.
Yup it's seems the market takes a med or vax out then puts it back in the market as if it never happened it's sick , for example years ago recall on birth control , then put back out , vax Johnson and Johnson was took off bc it was literally killing people then it goes back on the market , lies deception behind the curtain and mask this world is evil, healthcare already is down hill , I called my doc the other day spoke with a nurse had question and curious about birth control and such I have heavy periods and I'm premenopausal I also had the COVID vax awhile back really messed with my periods and hormones anyways , nurse calls back and tells me you would have to make an appointment to discuss further of it to me it's not worth an appointment of that , I don't know whatever happened to doctor take the time to know their patients especially their medical why on earth would you have to make an appointment for to talk about birth control when it's simpler to have a phone conversation about it , I know there is a new one on the market now I'm still researching it and learning more , but man I guess the docs are all mandatory to try to get talk to you like sales person or bully you about another COVID vax , I'm done with that too , smh it's the new normal unfortunately, it was like I got to make a consultation with my doc at her office over and about birth control to discuss further smh and then nurse says would you like to make an appointment no I'm not doing that today , it's not a final decision or birth control just curious about it , I'm just glad the nurse called back and try to have my questions answered, hormonal changes and heavy periods.
This is what happens when feminists forget to critically think. Many of these studies were authored by women, men having side effects makes no difference in the messaging. It sucks, it should be fixed, money should be invested in better options. The reason why this stuff is still in the market is because it sells, not because men have some secret society to cause women's suffering.
Glad women are being trusted to make this decision about their own reproductive health. Happy it works for many women but hormonal birth control gave me back to back migraines with aura. Never took it after that. Better needs to be done for women.
I had WORST FROM A B¡+Ch Obygyn who is probably paid by pharma...giving me BC pill for PCOS!!! I have fainted from birth control that they actually need to give me blood transfusion!!! The perfect solution to PCOS is to STOP USING COMMERCIAL SANITARY PAD!!! I became regular when I change into reusable washable pad! (Although now I'm into adult washable diaper) SAY NO TO BIRTH CONTROL PILLS!!! even for birth control they are something better like have your husband do vasectomy or just say NO!!!
@jtw99235that’s because your start point wasn’t in a normal hormonal level to begin with. And unfortunately birth control is not 100% on everyone as anything is. Contraceptives are important; but remember it’s mimicking pregnancy levels too. So even in some women it gives them the same side effect as pregnancy… my case was that one of them made me a completely frigid woman. My second one was good but I take it off and on.
Im a for access to birth control, as it obviously reduces abortions, but i personally will never get back on birth control because of all the horrible side effects I experienced. IUD was the worst for me- so painful, for so long! Until I finally insisted they remove it early. Informed consent is a must.
That tells me your hormone pill was probably not for you or the hormones it gave were out of whack with your body - the first thing they advise on the paper of pills is if you have extreme migraines, you should report it because they can give you a dose of estrogen as a vaccine to mitigate it. It is sadly an ultra common side-effect, I have them too and it is being mitigated.
I'm soooooo glad I've NEVER taken birth control pills. Mimicking the hormonal profile of a pregnant woman for years and even decades is beyond bizarre and unhealthy. Doctors should stop being so lazy when it comes to addressing hormonal imbalances. Instead of trying to promote sustainable ways to balance hormones, they think nothing of throwing contraception pill prescriptions at women. Has anyone seriously considered why miscarriages and fertility issues have become so commonplace? I guess if they cared enough to research that, we could get the data we desperately need to make a few informed decisions about whether or not the pill is safe and/or healthy.
Well said. We always hear about women having fertility issues but no one willing to call out the decade+ use of birth control. Doctors throwing a pill at the problem is something we see soooo often with many other health problems. I will never go on birth control so that I have the best possible chance of getting pregnant naturally with no issues.
Birth control gave me erythema nodosum and I was bedridden for two weeks with huge welts all over my legs and arms that were so painful to even touch. It also made me depressed and angry every day. Got off of it after 2.5 years. Best decision for me
I'm so glad I got off these toxic, synthetic hormones and addressed my fertility and health problems naturally. Addressing the root cause(s) of your health problem is SO much better than putting a bandaid on it!

Yes - I had about 1.5yrs of chronic pain from mine about half of which continued after removing it. I would bleed for half the month as well and the most painful periods. The pain was from cysts (which are a risk from the paraguard). I got Microcurrent Stimulation done and that cured my pain finally and I am about 6 months pain free now and living my life again. I am still figuring out a good alternative that doesn’t have major negative side affects.

i asked chatgpt about the potential unhealthy effects of birth control, and this is wat i got: 1. birth control with hormones like estrogen and progestin can cause nausea, breast tenderness, mood swings, weight gain, headaches, and changes in libido 2. potential slight increase in the risk of blood clots, deep vein thrombosis, heart attacks, and strokes, particularly in the birth control methods containing estrogen 3. can increase blood pressure 4. can slightly risk breast and cervical cancer 5. can cause mood changes, anxiety, or even depression 6. can cause gastrointestinal issues like diarrhea and bloating 7. can cause decreased bone density from prolonged use of certain methods such as depo-provera injections
Oooooooh my , that is facts and there is more to it , it's a synthetic chemical hormones or hormone, now a days all medications have changed since 2016 , women can get pregnant on the pill too , I heard so many terrible stories about birth control and that it does cause worse stuff smh
Idk if progesterone is a preferable alternative to the traditional estrogen pill. All women need to know the side effects of progesterone and estrogen, and please talk to the blood-related women in your family about how they’ve reacted to birth control. Every single woman in my family told me “the pill” made them crazy. “Just didn’t work for me. Do it if you need it, but be careful and explore alternatives.”
They ran countless tests, CT scans and MRI’s, took tons of bloodwork and I was in the best shape of my life. They didn’t find a single thing wrong except that I was on the pill for 18 years. I’m going for a second opinion in Feb just to be sure.
it is rare but healthy people can have strokes too because we live in a not healthy society. (sitting down too much, processed foods, pesticides, etc) so i don't think that you will be able to really know if it is really because of the pill. @@lala-ti7tw
Happened to my cousin. She had a horrible stroke specifically because of her birth control when she was in her mid 30s. Doctors don't tell you that the risk of having a stroke on birth control goes up exponentially with age.
Definitely want to see more accessable and long term birth control options, since parenthood is not a viable option, and obgyn care is declining rapidly in the US.
I think we need to be allowed to just cut our tubes. Especially if we don’t want kids. But if we have PCOs we need something else. This way contraceptives are just that. You use during a relationship for windows of time.
how about humans move forward towards having something more valuable to the masses using "will" power other than giving into their animal ways n just reproducing to a point people cant even take care of kids. The only time parenthood isnt an option is if the person themselves is a child or if the person is irresponsible with their priorities/ emotionally immature and just seeks pleasure aka just have some fun(temporary excuse to be irresponsible)
I’m so glad that it seems like they don’t affect me as much as most woman. I’m 26 and been on them since 16 do to health issues. If there are side affects, then I don’t really notice them enough to care lol.
@jtw99235 actually I moved to a foreign country a few years ago and ran out for a long time (simply because I was a scaredy-cat and didn’t want to go to a gynecologist in a foreign country lol). I didn’t seem to have any side effects linked to getting off the pill. If anything I was at a healthier weight and everything on the pill than off of it.
@jtw99235side effects are not in majority of cases. The problem Is that women that have history of clots and strokes in their family that are not aware that do take it. Apart from maybe side effects a pregnancy does give by the way, it’s good. Now do you need to be pregnant without breaks? Then you don’t need to be on the pill without breaks
Get tested for hormonal imbalances an get in touch with a holistic doctor if you can depending on what doctor they can be expensive or not but many who go for it say it’s worth it because unlike many they go to the root couse of the problems
Get tested for staph on the skin, you may have bacteria in and itself that augments the issue. Slowly shift to other contraceptives so you can do the switch off or on method with the pill. Dermatologist is what you need with acne, it also can be diet related such as dairy, some people are allergic to it. Pills for acne should be temporary with the caveat that if in six months of treatment you aren’t out of it for a few years that you have more than just hormones going on
I use the pill off and on, for contraception. But…… here’s the catch: cysts are usually bacteria driven. And while your hormones may impact your regulation of sebum I’ve had a massive mrsa on my face and it was impetigo and staph. Soooo I think sometimes we confuse acne with staph or strep. Check it out. Believe me my face has been clean of acne for thee years. I did however have to take six antibiotics at once with every probiotic known to man to counter it. Lol
I was the same way, terrible cystic acne when I wasn’t on the pill. I got off it once in college and one of my friends at the time told me she would t even go in public if she had cysts like mine all over her face. I finally got a dermatologist to prescribe accutane. It was SO WORST IT! Never had a problem again. I just wish they would have let me take that sooner. Good luck.
BC has ruined my life with my sons mother. I’ve been telling her she’s in wrong kind and it’s costing us our mental health. She treats me like she’s pregnant every day Her hormones were bad when she was pregnant. And it’s like that now daily for years. She says I’m mentally ill when j tell her about it.
It's still horrifying there are politicians trying to take the right to birth control away. Women who want tubal ligation have a very hard time getting it unless it's after the hirth of a child, and usually not after the first child. The right to that procedure should be guaranteed.
I got the mirena IUD and it caused my entire body to tense up. I could not get off the floor. I took it out and still to this day, every month a week before my period all of my muscles tense up for a day or two. It's been 12 years. If I could sue, I would.
That’s terrible. Fortunately I’ve never had an issue with mine. My OB is a class-act doctor. Before she even prepared to insert it, she did a whole series of measurements with ultrasound and physical apparatuses to see if my uterus was likely to be a “good fit” for Mirena. It turns out that your uterus has to be tilted at a specific angle and a few other things for your body to accept it. Highly recommend anyone read into it
it made my hormones mess up. stoped after 4 years of taking it due to pcos and a dr told me that i was never suposed to take it for that long while my family dr was still pushing me to take it!
I’ve personally got on birth control started at maybe 12 when I first got my period. I’m 22 now and thank goodness I’m gonna get a hysterectomy by my choice.
I got married and me and my husband decided birth Control was not a option for us. He told me what ever God wants to give us will take 🙌 so we had 6 🥰 thank God I never took that stuff 😊
Imagine we women take birth control pills inorder for us to avoid pregnancy while we suffer the bad side effects of long term using it, hope men also 😢
I got on birth control for my painful periods and honestly I don’t know if it really helped. Maybe some months but at this point I’m tired of taking the pill. I’m starting my first month without it and I’m NERVOUS AHH
I'm not sure if this is helpful but I had painful periods too and was on BC But after I got off the pills, and changed to reusable pads and diva cups the cramps were pretty much tolerable and not as unpleasant. Its just like mild? Not awful like before. I read a study on how the pads and tampons bought I the store is plastics softened with chemicals and get absorbed into delicate skin from childbirth because of diapers being made of the same thing. 10/10 will never go back to disposables. Then for irregular stuff I watched what I ate and worked out and found out different times of the mo the require different movements and eating habits. It's been super helpful at being mindful of my body's cues.
I didn't have a painful insertion. Was just a bad cramp. And I would do it again a thousand times because it's so convenient. Don't be scared off by messages like this online! Try it! Know your body and get it put in on your heaviest bleeding day when your cervix is open and nice and soft.
I refuse to get the iud, I know someone that broke & they had to go to the hospital. I get a lot women use it & maybe they don’t have that issue, but I’m not comfortable with it.
It works alright for me, had no pain when I got it and no issues really since. Messages like this limit women's options when it could be something that works for them. It's easy enough to take out of it isn't right.
I'm convinced hormonal birth control is trash. I had symptoms on them but most appeared right after stopping, hair loss, rashes, mood swings, night sweats, irregular periods for years following when I didn't have those problems before.
If you can, you should meet a holistic doctor they can possibly find the root cause of the problem depending on who you go to some can be expensive or not but many who go say it’s worth it
@jtw99235pregnancy does the same or worse. Guess what you get pregnant and you can develop hair loss. I’ve met coworkers that lost hair during pregnancy and right after. Conversely I have seen women with radiant skin during and after too. The very hormones of your pregnancy cause side effects which the pill mimics due to it mimicking the hormones that make the body think it’s pregnant. Sooo.., if you have the chance of getting depression in pregnant or after it may run with this too.
Fertility awareness has been very effective for me even with irregular cycles. The key is to actually learn from an instructor to chart properly. They can teach via Skype! Methods like Marquette, Sympto-Thermal, Billings, and Creighton have instructors that can teach you to chart even with irregular cycles. Don’t read some articles on the internet and try to figure it out on your own. I love not being subjected to all the crazy side effects of birth control. It just isn’t worth the risk!
Um, you don't think adults are aware...? For teens, statistically abstinence-only education leads to higher rates of teen pregnancy because they are not going to abstain no matter how much you tell them to Doesn't have to be hormonal BC but they need some kind of contraceptive
I suffered with migraines my entire adult life it wasn't until I had my last child and had my tubes tied that my migraines completely went away. I used to be in the ER 4 to 5 times a year with the migraine and now I haven't had one in 3 years. I know 100%, it was from birth control
Birth control is necessary for women to have to regulate hormones and heavy periods. There's no need to ban it. Just don't take it if you don't want to.

For me, it was the opposite. For eight years, I had no issues with birth control, not even hair loss, and I have thick hair until the jab showed up and messed up my birth control. I had to come off birth control because I was suffering from water retention to the point that my clothes wouldn't fit and now I can't lose weight and have hormonal acne but again it was the freaking jab that destroyed my hormones not birth control

They have a lot of different options now compared to what they used to. They are safer & side effects/symptoms are more known & milder as medicine in this area has improved. I know a number of +35 women that have IUD's and swear by them. A few have them for required medical reasons & the others for a mix of contraceptive & management reasons. Personally the IUD was a godsend since its been the most effective treatment for the medical issues I have. It’s crazy how doctors recommend birth control as soon as you start your period. While I understand that women may want to start birth control to resolve acne issues and irregular cycles, but more often than not these are just commons issues of going through puberty. And unfortunately PCOS is then induced by the same pills you thought would help against it. I’m honesty happy I didn’t grow up in America as a young woman. There’s was such stigma around “the pill” back in the 1960s when it was invented

And I’m sure you were told it was all “in your head,” right?
Thank god other women are realizing this. Birth control destroyed my life.
(Although now I'm into adult washable diaper)
SAY NO TO BIRTH CONTROL PILLS!!! even for birth control they are something better like have your husband do vasectomy or just say NO!!!
Nothing in the video says the government is taking away your birth control. You sound wacko.
Im a for access to birth control, as it obviously reduces abortions, but i personally will never get back on birth control because of all the horrible side effects I experienced. IUD was the worst for me- so painful, for so long! Until I finally insisted they remove it early. Informed consent is a must.
The pill gave me severe migraines! I never experienced a migraine before the pill. As soon as I stopped it migraines ended.
If you don’t mind me asking what natural remedies did you use?

Yes - I had about 1.5yrs of chronic pain from mine about half of which continued after removing it. I would bleed for half the month as well and the most painful periods. The pain was from cysts (which are a risk from the paraguard). I got Microcurrent Stimulation done and that cured my pain finally and I am about 6 months pain free now and living my life again. 1. birth control with hormones like estrogen and progestin can cause nausea, breast tenderness, mood swings, weight gain, headaches, and changes in libido
2. potential slight increase in the risk of blood clots, deep vein thrombosis, heart attacks, and strokes, particularly in the birth control methods containing estrogen
3. can increase blood pressure
4. can slightly risk breast and cervical cancer
5. can cause mood changes, anxiety, or even depression
6. can cause gastrointestinal issues like diarrhea and bloating
7. can cause decreased bone density from prolonged use of certain methods such as depo-provera injections

I’m glad women are speaking up…literal poison
Idk if progesterone is a preferable alternative to the traditional estrogen pill. All women need to know the side effects of progesterone and estrogen, and please talk to the blood-related women in your family about how they’ve reacted to birth control. Every single woman in my family told me “the pill” made them crazy. “Just didn’t work for me. Do it if you need it, but be careful and explore alternatives.”
I’m 34 yrs old and had an ischemic stroke 2 months ago due to the pill
Wait what? How do you know it was specifically due to the pill?
They ran countless tests, CT scans and MRI’s, took tons of bloodwork and I was in the best shape of my life. They didn’t find a single thing wrong except that I was on the pill for 18 years. I’m going for a second opinion in Feb just to be sure.
it is rare but healthy people can have strokes too because we live in a not healthy society. (sitting down too much, processed foods, pesticides, etc) so i don't think that you will be able to really know if it is really because of the pill. @@lala-ti7tw

Definitely want to see more accessable and long term birth control options, since parenthood is not a viable option, and obgyn care is declining rapidly in the US.
Some options need to be available for men too
I think we need to be allowed to just cut our tubes. Especially if we don’t want kids. But if we have PCOs we need something else. This way contraceptives are just that. You use during a relationship for windows of time.
Hysterectomy.

I can't get off the pill or my entire face would be taken over by the most monstrous acne cysts known to human
Addressing/understanding the root of your painful periods is the first step. They're common but not normal or healthy.
Thinking about doing the same, how did I go for you? Did you notice any change in your weight? People said you can gain some weight after coming off😮
I'm not sure if this is helpful but I had painful periods too and was on BC
But after I got off the pills, and changed to reusable pads and diva cups the cramps were pretty much tolerable and not as unpleasant.
How did it go? I'm thinking about quitting too after 5 years since I'm scared of the long term effects.

@jtw99235 I agree with that
If you can, you should meet a holistic doctor they can possibly find the root cause of the problem depending on who you go to some can be expensive or not but many who go say it’s worth it
@jtw99235pregnancy does the same or worse.
Anyone feel like their face aged since starting it?
We need better options. I dream about something that can put periods on hold indefinitely, but continue no hormonal crap.

18+-early 20’s. However, there are children as early as 12-13 due to period reasons. Anemia due to period can be a reason why a child that young would take it and children do get tested for iron levels if they see a proper doctor.

I’m considering getting off bc because my weight has been on a steady incline since I switched from the pill from age 14 to 17 to the ring, and then the ring to the patch at 21, my activity level has increased and no change in diet, but I’ve gained 30 lbs in 2 years alone. I’ve never been off it since I started so im wondering what it would be like being off it
Yes yes yes
I'm pretty sure my kyleena is causing me so many issues!!!!
My acne was beastly and my cycle was irregular until age 17. I knew they would have had me on the pill.
Just when I was thinking of getting it cause of my acne😩😭😭
I started to get anxiety after discontinuing it how many months it takes to become normal
What about women who have PMDD?? Did BC help?
Progesterone. The feminist hormone. :/
So what do we do for people who get it for free?
good
You don't need a pill to be happy.
Look at history.
I have autoimmune issues I believe are tied to bc
