    Thanks for all the informative videos you keep releasing.
    I just wanted to ask if there is a way to acchieve this on UE 5+?
    The bridge that is downloaded only works on some UE4 versions and the UE5 already has quixel integrated but there is no section for imported PBR materials when inside UE 5, Quixel bridge.
    I made a lot of materials with materialized but they all look very plastic and not how they should when I try use them on UE5.
    When looking at the quixel bridge I downloaded and I imported my materials there they look as they should and looks great.

    • @JonathanWinbush
      @JonathanWinbush  Год назад +1

      Yea that's the kicker I've asked Quixel several times online if they will bring back the import function to Bridge for UE5 but I've gotten no response about it so I'm not sure what the plan there is

    • @JonathanWinbush

      Do they still keep the Substance programs updated on steam? I thought everything went subscription with them. Would love to get back into Substance Painter.

    • @tomoprime217
      @tomoprime217 Год назад

      @@JonathanWinbush it’s a perpetual license. I got the 2022 version last year. My updates are probably about an end now but I believe the way it works is that they will list a new version such as Substance 3D Painter 2023 and they will include a full year of updates until Painter 2024 comes out which makes the 2023 Painter disappear from Steam. If you then end up wanting Painter 2024 they might offer you a upgrade discount. The problem is you don’t know when the new listing is going to appear. I basically bought Painter, Designer and Sampler 2022 a bit early and it’s a little odd I didn’t hear anything about 2023 yet so I don’t know where I stand on the new version until it drops.

    Great from the hacksmith.
    Its a shame u dont get into the AI stuff. So much comin out next year. Deepfake - video to map onto image.
    Videos to drive animation.
    Animating faces is the hardest thing on the planet. Im wondering if deepfake could assist in getting a non dead looking face.

      @@JonathanWinbush great stuff.
      My concerns with AI mocap is the janky legs. If some1 was to do a 'mocap ai to production ready result"
      I own reallusion and cascadeur to fix it but still found if i fixed the legs the hips would start looking weird.
      Is bizzare how much perfection involved in simple human movements. I can see why some companies wanted to charge me $300+ a day when i inquired :(. Prob a lot of that money is post clean up.
