    The "Central" market is fine but there are at least two others that are about as good without the tourist junk. When I spent a few months in Budapest, we lived across the street from a smaller market on Eotvos Utca

    • @StuffedCabbageAdventures
      @StuffedCabbageAdventures  2 года назад +4

      Yes, i and i am planning to make videos about the rest of the markets as well in the other district videos i will create :)

    All the markets i visited in europe, i find eating there more expensive than in nicer restaurants. Just a few snacks and we already exceed our lunch budget. Food are typically average and with limited place to seat.

    Been loving your channel, how big a difference is there in prices between the big market on the Danube, and the other smaller ones in different locations?

    • @StuffedCabbageAdventures
      @StuffedCabbageAdventures  Год назад

      Thank you, glad you enjoy our content 😊 not gonna lie, the prices at the grand market hall are higher than at the other smaller ones like Rákóczi téri Vásárcsarnok, Lehel tér piac, Hold utcai piac or Hunyadi téri piac. I still think it's a nice place to visit 😊

      Hey there! Generally I say Spring and autumn are the best, but each season has its charm. Winter can be more peaceful, but the Christmas market season is in contrast busy however the nice decorations and markets have their own vibes. Yes, hot summer also has its charm, like visiting Balaton region for a few days, or just taking things slow in the city, sit in to gardens or courtyards for cafe or drinks 😊 but spring and autumn are the most ideal in my opinion 😊

      Many thanks for your quick reply much appreciated…:) may I know distance from city center to Balaton region? General temperature winter time in Budapest? Thank you!

      @@lalasiqueira8243 Heyya! Siófok is about 100km from Budapest but like Keszthely on the other end is around 190 km. I would suggest using Google maps as that gives good info if you wish to travel by car or public transport 😊 Winters are usually somewhere around 0 C, there are days where it can be -5C or - 10C, but that's rare, and there are also mild days where it can go up to 10C.

    Hi Mr Stuffed Cabbage, Is the Beer To Go closed? It says it is on Google Maps sadly

    • @StuffedCabbageAdventures
      @StuffedCabbageAdventures  Год назад +1

      Unfortunately it looks like it closed since 😟 However if you are looking to shop for Craft Beers, I can also suggest Csakajósör which is located in Kertész street of the 7th district.

    Any good thrift stores to go to?

    • @StuffedCabbageAdventures
      @StuffedCabbageAdventures  3 месяца назад +1

      To be honest I am not very well versed with Thrift stores, ones that I remember from Years ago is Szputnyik and Retrock which are more like Vintage/Designer stores. A more classical second hand shop chain is Humana. Another place I usually walk passed by that carries some 90s stuff and mostly older sport jerseys is Throw Us Back Vintage. In Gozsdu Udvar on weekends there is usually a weekend market with some Vintage clothes and antique stuff displayed as well. I hope this helps 😊

    I'm confused about Hungary. I've been watching videos about it (including some of yours) for some time, as I am considering locating my business there. Judging from the videos, the people can't seem to make up their minds about whether to wear masks or not.
    I'm in the UK and there are no face masks here. I don't want to come to a country only to find that I am asked to wear a mask. Are Hungarians germophobic or is it just that these videos have been recorded in different time periods?

    • @StuffedCabbageAdventures
      @StuffedCabbageAdventures  Год назад +3

      As with most videos on YT it is shown that this one was also published 9 months ago and was shot some time before that basically within the Pandemic times. Today the only mask mandates are for healthcare closed spaces (like hospital, doctors office etc). For up to date mask regulations, I would check the official tourism sites of the countries I wish to visit.

      Most Hungarians don't trust West and their Covid 19. As you know, mask can't filter out microscopic germs, viruses.
