I remember a time when I was the only GC player at lolcals. Time Leap a year later & 1/4 of the players are also using GC decks.
I remember when GC was bad until G-BT04 LOL
DifferentFight IKR, Gear Fox was a game changer. ;)
It's funny rewatching this five years later given how beloved Time Leap and Nightrose are as a decks now. This format has gone down as one of the best in the game's history (some people even refer to it as Vanguard's Edison Format) since alot of the top decks were powerful, but fair to play against each other. Mid to late 2016 is in my opinion *peak* G Series Vanguard since it was around this time that G-Guards were introduced to balance the current power creep and is one that I would highly recommend people who are interested in playing retro formats give a shot. Decks like Time Leap and Nightrose were very technical for their time and rewarded you for piloting them well which as a Yu-Gi-Oh! player was hugely appealing to me. I also had my guilty pleasure decks in Vanquisher (Set 9 Thunderstrike was *awful* and I will die on this hill) and Sunflower Ahsha mind you.
TL:DR this format's a treasure.

as a V Kagero Main i understood every single thing
it should die down a bit on the tick tock limit (because then you cant outright murder someone first stride) but as long as the new stuff focuses more on ZTB the future looks bright for other stuff catching up
And it's completely true.
Now fast forward 2 and a half years later and Bushiroad has thrown Gear Chronicle to the wayside...

In card fight area, I have built a deck that is not time leap focused but diversed with filtering, time leaping and sending units to the bottom of the deck.

Vanguard Central Gears is cancer 6 month ago, but now, it's just like every other tier one clan
Vanguard Central 2017 meta seems quite healthy till now though(relatively) cause at least u do kind of have luard, chronojet, nightrose and royal paladin, being the four topper and shiranui being a cancer post august. Victor being decently good especially if they can pull off favourite champ. PRISM being still part of the toppers
Vanguard Central Genesis potentially go tier one depends on the other support the give in gbt11. Kagero might have their old glory back by kouen. Even though gurguit is cool but they not gonna pull to the top. Dark irregular might have Amon being sooooo fast at soul charging that it actually can be good. Link joker messiah and new chaos break with potential gbt12 support might just be so good by being anti meta. . New Bermuda Triangle trial deck is still a mystery for us to know if it will let Bermuda be on top or not.

I will continue playing my AqF and show people that it still murders your face when played correctly.
Germany's Top 8 AqF here, a few weeks later won locals. 5 Matches, 2 Kagero, 2 Gears and 1 PM between them which gave me some time to breath.
The UK also got their AqF Player that tops their qualifier. Thing Blaster is strong too, it pushes early and might pull the trigger to get rid of the enemy key guards because they need to guard with them.
I also build the G1 GB when i first heared of it and later saw it topping in the lists but i wouldn't consider playing that over my loved clan even when it might be the best counter deck to GC and all the other GBreak exploding decks.
shinigamideathgod3 at my locals, there is still a variety of decks around, including overlords, messiahs, blaus, vermilion, tim lep, aqua force and even touken ranbu. so yeah, variety isn't dead

Being an optimistic person, I believe that each GC meta player knows that their deck is broken. But they still play it just for the sake of victory. Right?

We just need to stop overplaying time leap in canada BWC IN TORONTO we had some time leap deck guess what non make it into the top 4... :/ it's meta now cause it is good yes but a tad bit overplayed... I mean any deck as it's fair share of chances to get over it. Even a beast Deity deck can do the trick... (Not every deck though... Watching dungaree who thought he had his comeback)
