A Tornado and Castle at Christmas - 2019

With both LNER Class A4 60009 'Union of South Africa' and LMS Princess Coronation Class 6233 'Duchess of Sutherland' suffering issues in the latter part of November, LNER Class A1 60163 'Tornado' had to stand in working with WCRC this year for the first time in her 10 year life.
She's first seen working the Steam Dreams Excursion to the Lincoln Christmas Market on Sunday 8th December 2019 at Peakirk, accelerating away from the speed restriction at Werrington Junction. She had been originally booked on this tour compared to the next couple that she worked.
The next shot is of the Railway Touring Company's Christmas White Rose to York seen at Colton Junction with 60163 powering towards the Yorkshire capital. Just over an hour later, GWR Castle Class 7029 'Clun Castle' was captured at the same location in unusual territory for a Western loco. She was working Vintage Train's Christmas White Rose.
The final shot is of 60163 'Tornado' once more at Whittlesea working the Chester Christmas Express, marking my final mainline steam shot of 2019.
Hopefully 2020 brings plenty more mainline steam trips!
