And then, you did this video! The Bill & Ted movies are awesome and you are my favorite reaction channel! 🙂

I saw this movie at a "time travel" film festival at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. The director came out and mentioned this was recommended by his children for the festival. He watched it and said, "It's definitely a time travel movie, and there definitely is a generational gap between me and my children."
I absolutely LOVE bill and Ted with future bill and Ted and their reactions to each other and how they act. NO movie today is like this. The imagination and creativity mingled with the sense of humor needed to write that whole scene which is ridiculous but has a magic to it isn’t matched by anything.
For those of us who watched Keanu land and become a star, THIS is what he was for the first seven or eight years of his career. He was not an action star at all; in fact, I think most people would have laughed at the idea. The image people had of him was of a very pretty, very vapid eternal teenager. (It wasn't until well into his thirties that he even began to look his age.) He was in Dracula, and people giggled. He did Shakespeare, and people rolled their eyes. He was very popular, but nobody took him seriously, which is rather interesting, as during the first few years, he was seen as an intriguing young talent. But then Bill & Ted came out, and that was all she wrote. He was a himbo from then on - in fact, the term "himbo" was coined to describe Keanu. (To illustrate, when The Matrix first came out I thought it was amazing and started getting my friends to come see it. Every time, without fail, they would say, "But it's got _Keanu Reeves_ in it!" I'd reply, "I know, I know, but trust me, you will NOT regret this!" Even at that late date, people expected him not to deliver.)😅
The leader in the future was played by Clarence Clemmons - who was Bruce Springsteen's sax player in the E Street Band. Joan of Arc is played by Jane Wieldin, famous for being part of the Go Gos. The original script had the guys time traveling in a '69(Excellent!) Chevy Van . But this was made not too long after Back to the Future came out, and they didn't want to be compared to it, so they switched to the phone booth. (the film came out in 89, but was made in 87, and took two years to find a release) Clearly they were counting on not too many Americans being familiar with Doctor Who back then.
And the other two leaders in the future were played by Martha Davis, of The Motels, and Fee Waybill of The Tubes. And it's Jane Weidlin--I know because I crushed on her hard during my teen years :P
This movie, no jokes, instilled in me at a young age a philosophy that I have carried with me my entire life. It may sound corny, but it's real and it's true to me. Be excellent to each other.

They're so dumb, but still somehow pretty solid role models. It's impressive. This reaction made me so happy, and I hope to see you again with the sequel: Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey.

Imagine us all at the time, watching the Bill & Ted movies, Parenthood.... and suddenly in Speed Keanu is short haired and acting all serious! It still feels weird to me, this is his real nature! :D
Bill and Ted were created by Ed Solomon, who brought us MIB, Now You See Me and Charlie's Angels (2000) and Chris Matheson, son of legendary sci-fi author Richard Matheson.
Genuinely heartwarming. Thanks for the memories. It is such a shame that today's Hollywood is more like a psychological warfare unit, rather than making stories such as this.
Excellent movie, one of my close school buddies 'Robbi robb' wrote and performed the song "In Time" for this movie he now lives in joshua Tree California.

35 years later, and I still use the “Strange things are afoot at the Circle K,” with my dad every once and awhile. And I love to sit around listening to Dave Beeth Oven, while I read So Crates and Sigmund Frood.
I always see the parallels between Bill and Ted finding the messages they left themselves to duck and hide their way through the police station, and the office cubicle scene in The Matrix when Morpheus is directing Neo where to hide and when to go. Even at the end of it they are climbing out a window, just as Neo had to. I just wonder if The Matrix directors put that in there as an homage
Thank you for your videos. It genuinely feels like I’m watching these again for the first time and your sweet reactions make me laugh at jokes I’ve heard a hundred times before.
When we were kids, whenever we drove out to San Bernardino County to visit our relatives, whenever we got to the junction of the 10 and the 210 and saw the sign for San Dimas, my sister and I would always say in unison, "San Dimas? EXCELLENT!"

19:13 - It's METROCENTER, in Phoenix, AZ at it's absolute peak. Sadly it was demolished last year. This film became such a part of the mall's history (and Phoenix Metro in general) that before they tore the last of it down, they hosted a screening of BILL & TED on one of the walls. They'd done the same a couple years earlier when the Circle K changed hands and became an independent bodega. That showing was most triumphant, I can assure you.
I have really enjoyed these reactions. I remember watching this this Film in the Theaters. Films to add to your list (if you haven’t already seen them)Updated 1 Short Circuit 2 Batteries Not Included 3 The Burbs 4 Police Academy!!! 5 Ghostbusters 6 Labyrinth 7 Little Monsters
OMG I would LOVE to see the reaction to Short Circuit and Batteries Not Included. Actually all of those to be honest. Great choices. Maybe even throw in that Brendan Fraser movie Blast from the Past.
I don't remember not understanding what an actor is. Keanu had been in Speed and Point Break and other stuff before that. I do remember being confused by John Harker's accent in Dracula, though.
Lot's of great cameos in this movie. The President of the Future was played by Clarence Clemmons, Bruce Springsteen's sax player. (Unfortunately, after his passing, it was revealed that he was a chronic abuser) Joan of Arc was played by Jane Weidlin of The Go-Go's
The Rufus Paradox: Rufus never says his own name. Future Bill says “Trust this guy Rufus” and then when Present Bill travels back to that same moment he just repeats what he heard the first time. So Bill leaned Rufus’ name because he told it to himself.
I was 14 when this movie came out. It was the first movie I ever went to alone because my mom was definitely not interested in it. She still isn’t. (Doesn’t know what she’s missing, if you ask me!) A few weeks later, my confirmation class went on a weekend trip, to where I don’t remember, but we got to go see this one of the days we were gone. This movie came out at just the right time for me and it holds a special place in my heart. I’m turning 50 this year and I love it as much today as the first time I saw it!
Have you noticed how the bit when they are reading the fax that tells them to duck is strangely reminiscent of the office scene in the Matrix? And Keanu Reaves is in both.
"Strange things are afoot at the Circle K" is uttered at least once a week in our house. And by that I mean I find an excuse to use it whenever possible.

“Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives” was the intro to the daytime soap opera “Days of Our Lives”
Neo was channeling Ted during the Jump Program, when he looked over the edge and said "Whoa"
What a beautiful reaction. You were so moved by the future's reverence for Bill & Ted.
Imagine us all at the time, watching the Bill & Ted movies, Parenthood.... and suddenly in Speed Keanu is short haired and acting all serious! It still feels weird to me, this is his real nature! :D
Favorite subtle joke is when the girl laugh at Freud, his corn dog goes limp. Psychology joke!
Ever since this film came out, it has been on my top ten films to watch when you just need to smile and regain hope for the future.
When someone mentions that Keanu is breathtaking, they should also shout that he's excellent too.
Bill and Ted were created by Ed Solomon, who brought us MIB, Now You See Me and Charlie's Angels (2000) and Chris Matheson, son of legendary sci-fi author Richard Matheson.
EXCELLENT!!! Hope you watch the next 2 on the channel soon!
Genuinely heartwarming. Thanks for the memories. It is such a shame that today's Hollywood is more like a psychological warfare unit, rather than making stories such as this.
I'll have you know, I watched your reaction on a whim, and i have to say it was one of the best I've seen in months. You were amazing.
YASSS!! the long version of this. I'm so happyyyyyy
Your reaction to this made my day and made me subscribe. So sad when people don't get this movie.
Excellent movie, one of my close school buddies 'Robbi robb' wrote and performed the song "In Time" for this movie he now lives in joshua Tree California.
Those boys are just smart enough to know that they don't know anything, which in my opinion is why it's so enjoyable. I was really happy to see this reaction video. it was Your reaction to this movie on Tiktok that got me following you. Looking forward to your next video Nikki
This is the most triumphant reaction ever.
Thank you for your videos. It genuinely feels like I’m watching these again for the first time and your sweet reactions make me laugh at jokes I’ve heard a hundred times before.
I was 13 when this released, we saw it opening night. The Mall scene with the “play with me” solo cranking is still legendary
Steve Vai with the guitar… iirc

One used in the movie is a different version
Strange things are afoot at the Circle K.
I was thrilled 35 years later when we finally got a local circle k so I could say this line.
@@GD-tt6hl I used to live by one...every time i went LOL
Strange things are a foot at the Circle K..
Words of wisdom I still live my life by to this day.
When we were kids, whenever we drove out to San Bernardino County to visit our relatives, whenever we got to the junction of the 10 and the 210 and saw the sign for San Dimas, my sister and I would always say in unison, "San Dimas? EXCELLENT!"
us too, and bonus there was a circle K one block from my place...every single time. There is something afoot at the CIrcle K....😁
I'm Brazilian and new to the channel, but I have to say, I would like to watch all these films with Nikki . Much more fun! I love her.
Another golden video! My face is sore from laughing and smiling!
As my grandmother would say, "You are a 'hoot'!" (That means fun. I am so old)
This React was as wholesome as the movie. It's just lovely watching you enjoying it. It's my favorite movie and "In Time" my favorite song. :) Hope you will also enjoy the other two movies.
I’ve watched this movie religiously since it came out. It’s nice to see someone fall in love with this movie.
Bill & Ted. Or how to save the universe with just a vibe.
Films to add to your list (if you haven’t already seen them)Updated
1 Short Circuit
2 Batteries Not Included
3 The Burbs
4 Police Academy!!!
5 Ghostbusters
6 Labyrinth
7 Little Monsters
OMG I would LOVE to see the reaction to Short Circuit and Batteries Not Included. Actually all of those to be honest. Great choices. Maybe even throw in that Brendan Fraser movie Blast from the Past.
I’m excited. This was one of my favorite TikTok’s when I found your channel. Bill and Ted’s excellent adventure and the other movies are all great.
You enjoyed this as much as I hoped you would! I really hope you watch the next two! :D
The scene where they meet the future council is like a glimpse of a perfect world. Easily one of my personal top twenty scenes in film history.
Everyone in 1999 were confused watching Ted Logan in the Matrix
I don't remember not understanding what an actor is. Keanu had been in Speed and Point Break and other stuff before that.
I do remember being confused by John Harker's accent in Dracula, though.
Can't wait to see if she cries in this one. I doubt it, though. 😂
ya know… you’d think…
Annnnnd there it is 😂
Lol 12:27
@hellonikkilu this reaction didn't disappoint at all. Thanks for the amazing content, and please keep them coming!
Lot's of great cameos in this movie. The President of the Future was played by Clarence Clemmons, Bruce Springsteen's sax player.
(Unfortunately, after his passing, it was revealed that he was a chronic abuser)
Joan of Arc was played by Jane Weidlin of The Go-Go's
Teacher: So, you're saying that Napoleon was a short dead dude?
Nikki: He's not wrong.
I'm dead.
The Rufus Paradox: Rufus never says his own name. Future Bill says “Trust this guy Rufus” and then when Present Bill travels back to that same moment he just repeats what he heard the first time. So Bill leaned Rufus’ name because he told it to himself.
This ……. was a MOST pleasantly surprising reaction today lol.
Yay!!!! You are watching some awesome movies can't wait to see your reaction to Bogus Journey, and Face The Music!!!
Seeing the title of this one and just knowing you would absolutely love it. Bogus Journey next?
I was 14 when this movie came out. It was the first movie I ever went to alone because my mom was definitely not interested in it. She still isn’t. (Doesn’t know what she’s missing, if you ask me!) A few weeks later, my confirmation class went on a weekend trip, to where I don’t remember, but we got to go see this one of the days we were gone. This movie came out at just the right time for me and it holds a special place in my heart. I’m turning 50 this year and I love it as much today as the first time I saw it!
Thank you Nikki Lu, for a Most Excellent and Triumphant Reaction! 😄
Bill & Ted, Wayne & Garth, Beavis & Butthead. Somehow the '80s and '90s hit on the perfect idiot duo formula.
The guy who played Napoleon was the guy in the bathtub in the Truman Show
The utter joyous endless disbelief. Most excellent.
