This guy should’ve been a superstar. Just the entrance theme alone. The way he would sit in the corner. And he was great in the ring. I wish that in the mid to late 90s, Vince was able to see that guys with unconventional looks were still worthy of being champions.
raven was one of the coolest wrestlers of the 90s. Imagine the dark raven character booked in the kinda way foley was when he first came to wwe. the deranged tortured soul. Imagine him being booked to face the Undertaker at Wrestlemania under Raven's Rules. One can dream.....
Agreed. Seems he was custom-made for the WWF and their weekly booking style in the Attitude era, instead winding up in WCW where angles were often ended as quick as they started.

Things like this make me love RUclips even in the times I despise it. Remembering the days when you could only find like a minute and a half (or sometimes even less than that) of this person or that person's wrestling theme, now you can virtually find any of them these days, full and sometimes clear/complete.
there was always WWF The Music, but I was never super duper into WCW, not sure if they did any official theme compilations- but RUclips is cool because it gives out hella rare ones!

Raven was 1 of the better and entertaining wrestlers of the 90's .He definately represented that Generation X attitude with his look and persona . In ECW he was 1 my favourites . Felt that he was misused in WCW though his feuds with Chris Benoit and DDP were brutal classics . WWF pigeonhold in their hardcore division and felt that he could have been so much more though he went to TNA and and ROH in 2003 and had great feuds with Jeff Jarrett and CM Punk and in 2005v became NWA World Champion .He was always entertaining and listening to his interviews whther worked or shoot he had a great mind for the business . Loved Raven in ECW and WCW. He could of been WCW champion hands down but they just never utilized him right. So sad but he was so epic I remember loving him.

And I'd record every episode of Raw, Nitro and Thunder waiting for a a long play of someone's theme without too much extra noise thrown in, heck I wore out tapes listening to Mike Awesome and The Hardy Boyz's themes on rewind over and over back in the day!
One thing I ironically appreciate about WCW's music branch is because the company was unwilling to pay for copyrighted material it’s as if Jimmy Hart or whoever’s job it was to create generic themes would kind of subliminally gesture to the audience like, "C'mon! You get the idea. Raven is a grunge gimmick and this tune is in the stylings of grunge." 😂

Stings WCW theme was amazing and yea its in the game and in the commercial so I have no clue why they changed it to that piece of crap theme they gave him .
Kira Lawlet His second WWE theme, the one without vocals, in my personal opinion as a Raven fan, was his best theme. It fit the guy well, and was badass. The way that it built up to a crescendo around 40 seconds in was just brilliant, it told you the guy was going to inflict some serious pain. Except they kind of underutilized him and on occasion jobbed him out too. Fuck....
To be completely honest, I've heard the songs that Ravens theme rips off, but I just don't like them. I like this one because of how somber this song sounds. Yes "Eighties" and "Come as you are", did it first, but WCW did it best, in my humble opinion.
I mean Come As You Are has a very intense feeling, Eighties has a very energetic feel so I could see why, they don't really do much justice to the riff, but then again I love all 3 songs
In 1980 The Damned released a song called "Life Goes On." In 1985 Killing Joke released the track "Eighties" which seems to have stolen a riff from The Damned. Then in 1991, The band Nirvana was sued by Killing Joke over their song "Come as You are." As KJ claimed it stole the riff used in "Eighties." And then the theme music for Raven which definitely stole it from Nirvana, but of course, if you go back and check out the songs from Killing Joke and The Damned, you can see that is a riff that always seems to be getting stolen.

Raven was pretty much like a serial killer, psychologically tormenting everyone. He also had a lot of charisma so he seemed sympathetic when he was a stone cold psycho. Amazing portrayal. I doubt Corbin has the range to do all that.
Corbin is the guy. And actually, i think this kind of thing would suit Bray way more than his current gimmick. I really don't think what he's doing right now is working out, not his fault, just bad booking.

In 1980 The Damned released a song called "Life Goes On." In 1985 Killing Joke released the track "Eighties" which seems to have stolen a riff from The Damned. Then in 1991, The band Nirvana was sued by Killing Joke over their song "Come as You are." As KJ claimed it stole the riff used in "Eighties." And then the theme music for Raven which definitely stole it from Nirvana, but of course, if you go back and check out the songs from Killing Joke and The Damned, you can see that is a riff that always seems to be getting stolen.
Nirvana perfected it, it would seem.

Raven was pretty much like a serial killer, psychologically tormenting everyone. He also had a lot of charisma so he seemed sympathetic when he was a stone cold psycho. Amazing portrayal. I doubt Corbin has the range to do all that.
Maybe Dean Ambrose if he were to turn heel. He's got the whole crazy and hardcore part of Ravens gimmick down
Corbin is the guy. And actually, i think this kind of thing would suit Bray way more than his current gimmick. I really don't think what he's doing right now is working out, not his fault, just bad booking.
