Re No 1 'Safety'. I had my bike stolen in London, when it was chained to a metal barrier in a locked underground car park, with CCTV. When I visit China, I still can't get used to not locking my old banger of a bike, when I go shopping-even though it only cost me 100 yuan! In UK, we don't go out after 6.00 pm, but in China 7.00 pm is the time we set off, to walk around the city. As we haven't been able to go for 2 years, I really enjoy these videos.

I love China although I have never been there, it's a country I have always wanted to visit because of my Chinese background and beautiful pictures I have seen of China. I had intended to visit 2 years ago but the wretched Covid came along. Now that omicron is here and they say this variant will somehow phase out the virus, my dream to visit China is getting near. No. In my opining, the most important reason is: people in China are satisfied with what they have, and pursuing more by their own ability, not by stealing. That's the fundermental reason why you feal safe in China

. Westerners always say Chinese people are good , government is bad . But the reality is the government managed the whole country United , make the people happy (in general). You can’t see that in Taiwan province because the government divided the people just like the western countries, the medias there release hate every day and the called that “ diverse voices “ “ we are proud of we copied the western political systems “ . People from the west need 100 years to understand China: People are similar to the rest of the world, the only difference is that we have the best government, best systems in the world. It’s been very difficult to manage 1.4 billions popupation live in peaceful life

When you say the last part I think a lot of people look over the fact that, of course China has had it's ups and downs (just like any other country). But what they have done in the last 50 years is truly AMAZING! Add on top of that, they are managing 1.4 billion people (some of which don't even speak the same language) and that they're trying to bring people out of extreme poverty. But yet somehow people still don't see these achievements.

And further to that list are the cities are very clean and well maintained.
Cost of living is far cheaper than western countries. Adequate housing for everyone. You hardly see homeless people on the streets.
And the economy of the country is getting stronger and stronger, people are richer, 800 million people lifted out of absolute poverty. And they have completely eliminated absolute poverty in 2020.
Then there's freedom of religion too provided that they don't meddle in politics or cause social unrest.
No racism in China, all people are treated equally. Also reforestation program and greening of barren deserts, truly amazing.

safe to say the sense of safety is asia-wide. i went travelling solo as a female around different asian countries - not china yet but i totally believe everyone that says china is safe - including developing and wealthy ones and i felt more comfortable in those countries than i have in australia where i reside and australia isn't seen as unsafe in the big scheme of things.
one thing's for sure, someone who looks visibly different appearance-wise in china (a non-local/foreigner) is never going to encounter a car-load of uncouth hoons driving by in their shit-box yelling racial epithets at them and then chucking their used macca's packaging at them whilst you are on your peaceful stroll down the street. i think a lot of people who don't look caucasian have copped this type of abuse. such disrespectful behaviour.
also what i find bittersweet and kind of sad is that there are numerous accounts including yours where chinese people in china are seen as gregarious, social, curious, hospitable, warm, etc...and yet they're not seen that way worldwide as immigrants. they're seen as people who keep to themselves and are kind of outcast or isolated from the rest of the societies they migrate to...and i think that has a lot to do with a) immigrants just naturally gravitating to their "own" because they're in a foreign country and they want to feel a sense of safety, comfort and familiarity and b) that unfortunately chinese and asians more broadly have always and still are an easy target for racism and disrespect. any ethnic group that gets mistreated is going to close themselves off and not want to engage with the broader public and may come across cold or whatever. there's such a stark contrast in how chinese are perceived in their own country versus as immigrants in other countries. i think more foreigners need to visit china and experience the real china and chinese people!

China has no political corrections, I can say anything I want in China. but cannot in USA. I can go outside at 2or 3AM deep night in China, but cannot in USA. The street of My elder sister home even has no street light. USA night is much darker than China, I dare not go to USA public park because full of homeless and drug dealers. I cannot imagine. comparing USA, China life is lack of stupid politics and argument and all Chinese people are just working hard to let our family life become better and better, Frankly speaking, China is more peaceful and harmonious than Western countries. However, Western mainstream medias portray China is like a hell . all Chinese people are ruled by fear and policeman. it is so ridiculous. system advantage is what I see here too. there's no-nonsense throwing back and forth, there's no 4-years-rollback thing that exists instead of a constant move forward 5-year-plan. yes, there is riffraff's all across mankind so it's here in China too but not on such a large scale separating different sexes, ideologies, states, no, there's a highly organized unity here, I said this because they design such a system to enhance the feeling of unity, that is very important to me. again there are differences, there are debates, there are a lot of people who even don't like the government's way of doing things but they improve themselves over time instead of throwing excuses because there are no excuses, there are no "opposition parties" to attack and get yourself away from this. I live in China and I constantly receive messages from "Peoples Daily" that some high CPC officials are held accountable because of poor behavior or sloppy work.

The root problem of the western demoncractic system is not the change of gaovernment every several years. It is that each party has its own interest that is not aligned with the interest of the whole country or the citizens. They each reperesented a small sector who funds the party.
The success of China is not that ot ruled by a single party. It is that they have focused on the interests of the country and the well being of its citizens.

Wow! This is an intelligent analysis from a foreigner. I truly like your honesty without being exaggerating. You got a clear view of the political standing between one party & continuous leadership versus the democratic form of constant changes of leadership in the democracy of the US and the UK that seems to be a hindrance of momentum from good to bad, to even worst, and continue getting worst. Unlike in China where everyone is united. Love your channel actually. It gives me more perspective on China. I got the media propaganda of China before I went there in 2017. Got pissed drunk and walked back to my hotel at 4am. 4am! Holding a beer drinking walking. Saw a couple cops, and I got scared and tried to hide my beer. They saw me and laughed. Spoke some English to me saying it's okay, and I just continued walking. Because I was new, I didn't realise how far it was, I walked for a proper 45 minutes. Safe. No worries of any, 4am in the beautiful city of Cheng Du.
