Actually, in my opinion Asian people are the easiest to tell apart, all having distinct features. Im White and I couldn't tell if you if someone was British, Australian or American, Italian , French and so on ......
Mediterraneans and Scandinavians have distinct looks. Scandivians are generally tall have light hair and light coloured eyes, while Mediterraneans are shorter and have darker hair. As for White Americans and White Australians, both are literally from British background, so that's no surprise you can't distinct between their looks. Scottish folks tends to be on the shorter side.
@@cool_kai3298 some filipinos are mixed with chinese, same with thais vietnamese etc, southeast asia countries has many chinese people living there especially in thailand are the most , so many southeast asians are actually mixed with chinese.
Only by looking? It’s rather difficult to tell. You learn to distinguish who’s who by cultural clues instead of focusing on appearance. It’s like distinguishing middle easterners apart, but’s it’s tricky due to constant intermarriages through centuries after centuries.

Yeah southeastern countries look similar. As a Filipino, u can identify another Filipino by their nose and their accent when they speak of they are Tagalog. Bisaya is kinda harder to identify since they speak better English.
it is really difficult to tell a Filipino nowadays since many mainland chinese have married filipinos for decades. And also many many Filipinos now have mixed race. but if you look in the old photos of Filipinos, we mostly looked similar with malaysians and indonesians.

Malay has darker skin tone and has a thik look same as with Filipinos and has double eyelids. Thai do also have double eyelids but they're more a bit lighter and has almost the same round eyes as the Malay. Korean has that distinct No eyelids look and are very skinny, tall, light skinned, with a fluffy full small faces. Japanese always that distorted teeth that looks nice on them and they have that more kinky eyes stretching up. Chinese do also have thick skin but they have the most beautiful straight hair with a Filipino like eyes but is more smaller eyes. To be honest my mom thinks all Korean look the same

I guessed Colombia or Venezuela, he was actually pure filipino. He also introduced me his other friend and asked if I can guess where he's came from. I answered Korean but he's also pure filipino. Filipino's look similar with Malaysians and Indonesians since we do share the same ancestry (its unclear who came from where. Whether the Malay people went from south then north to the Philippine or from north to south) and our nations has been interacting before Europeans colonized that part of Southeast Asia. We also traded with the Chinese a lot during pre-colonial times and there were Chinese merchants who chose to migrate in Southeast Asia. I am mistaken for Chinese even though I did not inherit the white skin like my cousins (I have olive skin) but I did inherit my great grandmother's eyes who happens to be 1/4 Chinese.

Nathalie Golding but they are trying to figure out if that race looks different depending on the country.. Obviously Indian, Arab ,Persian and Russian Asians you can tell where they are from
Horny Aleks You are confusing the terms "race", "ethnicity", and "nationality". "Race" is the physical characteristics of a person (skin colour, eye colour, hair colour). "Ethnicity" refers to the cultural aspects of the person such as their ancestry. "Nationality" is the person's relationship with their political state/country they were born or live in. You can have multiple ethnicity and nationality , such as Egyptian Italian or Japanese American but only one race (even if mixed race -- that's still a separate category within race). Btw, Arabs aren't only Muslims (but predominantly more of them are). There are also Christian Arabs. Just like how not every American is necessarily a Christian or Jewish.

So I saw a lot of people saying Filipinos are great in speaking English. I’m here to say why. First of all, Filipinos can learn different accents, because Philippines was colonized by Spain, Japan, and America, which made it easier for Filipinos to adapt or learn different accent. Second is, Filipinos are required to learn English in schools and university. Third, in some instances, Filipinos are required to speak in English, like when you’re an English major teacher or you’re in a big company *presentations and such* Fourth, some *I don’t know if most* Filipinos in Manila speak half English half Filipino language. Fifth, Filipinos in the Philippines have different accents since there are different dialects in the Philippines. The most common dialect is called Tagalog. Sixth, a lot of people in the Philippines know more than two languages, which practices the Filipinos in learning different language. 😊 I hope this information is much clearer and understandable. I live in Canada, and the only Filipinos I know who struggle with their accents are those who were from provinces like Ilocos and Bicol. But most Filipinos can keep up 😊
My employer told me once... "you really are a filipiniya... You speak fluent english, and you learn fast in speaking our language"... THat's her exact words. I think Philippines is a language machine... Our official recorded languages used in the philippines is more than 180 .sooooo yeahhh

@@najahkirol2543 There is nothing wrong with my grammar, and I wouldn't be surprised if you don't know that. Honestly, it is not my job to correct your grammar or spelling. What I am pointing out is you are being delusional by saying Filipinos are a mixed race when we are not. You are giving non-Filipinos a wrong impression. You have to admit what you said is an utter lie.
@@mrtechgamer3026 @MrTechGamer I agree. We cannot truly call certain Pinoy "half-breeds" or the Philippines a "mixed race". We cannot take too seriously what race is either, such as how our phenotypic features should not determine whether we are Pinoy or not (e.g. Is someone Filipino/not Filipino if they have epicanthal folds, wavy/curly hair, and/or darker skin?). Yes the Spanish colonized us for almost 400 years, as the Americans for almost 50, and imperial Japanese occupation-- but we cannot limit ourselves to our subjugation; we were trading all around before and have large communities overseas now. I believe we are hurting ourselves by referring to ourselves as such, believing in what might be the one true kind of Filipino, which is why we have so much hostility with each other.

Then again, I spend lots of time in the sun and don’t look traditionally Chinese and I’m part something else. In truth, I feel like most of us are mixed to some degree. Don’t think I’ve ever met someone 100%. Being Asian is pretty cool though, lots of beautiful cultures, languages and people.
@@Elsisalittleconcerned china is huge man 🤣🤣🤣. its bigger than europe.
"chinese" ranges from white central asian to actual east asian to tibetans to southeast asian.
traditionally most people think the northern people is the true chinese.. since the chinese were north people and civilization untill some of them migrate downwards.
As a half Filipino (that has been mistaken for Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese and Hawaiian by white people all my life) I am somewhat insecure with my racial identity but thanks for your kind words ab Filipinos and the Philippines 👍🏽 :)
-you can’t tell the difference?
- yeah that’s honestly because of my ignorance
*I love him for the honesty*
Im filipino and some people think im chinese or malaysian.
K
If Koreans themselves couldn't identify their own people then its an impossible task for us LOL
Considering the Korean side take the same eye and nose surgery all the time and THEN put the same make up styles nonstop. Seeing a regular Korean doesn't match what the media portrays.
Lmao!!!

Right?

But most Filipinos can keep up 😊
they learn English in Japan and Korea too and most cant speak at all (or dont try)
My employer told me once... "you really are a filipiniya... You speak fluent english, and you learn fast in speaking our language"... THat's her exact words. I think Philippines is a language machine... Our official recorded languages used in the philippines is more than 180 .sooooo yeahhh
@Ranem Shain thats what i meant. In Korea and Japan they learn English in school yet when you go to those countries most people don't or won't speak to you in English.
@Ranem Shain Korean and Japanese people
@@jimmefz3328 lol Korea goes to Philippines to learn English...
Actually filipinos are mixed race, it's really hard to distinguish specially now that half of the population were like half breed. And besides philippines were colonized by spain for 300 yrs. that's why we are hard to identify wether we are full blood or half.
najmalyn kirol We are not half bred. Stop dreaming.
Mr Tech Gamer Breed kasi hndi Bred, stop talking 🙄
@@najahkirol2543 There is nothing wrong with my grammar, and I wouldn't be surprised if you don't know that. FYI, you have to use 'especially' and not 'specially'; put 'the' before the word 'Philippines'; capitalise the first letter of all countries as they are proper nouns; and use 'whether' rather than 'wether'.
Kinda agree, true pure Filipinos are the Indigenous people who were mostly isolated from the rest of the population. The regular population is generally malay with some chinese and european genes.
Westeners: ABSOLUTELY NOT!!
asians: yeah we do
Koreans living abroad surely don't look like the mainstream Koreans in South Korea huh
As a Korean, I agree.
True
That's very true.
When those East Asians born in USA, they all look about the same. I am not racist.
@@Kelberi yeah, you're right genetically we are same. Culture and breeding is what makes difference

Let's just be honest. Its almost impossible to different between Chinese, Koreans and Japanese. Even they themselves can't.
True 😂
I can tho :v base on their fashion style/ makeup
in fact, most of them can tell the difference..
@@wawa-vf4to agreed I have friends that r from china, korea, etc and they all can tell the difference between their ppl and foreigners.
@@wawa-vf4to I don't think their difference is from physical appearance, but rather from the way they dress, their language and maybe the way they present themselves. Just like in Africa, we cannot tell other black Africans apart unless they start talking
For Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Koreans and Singaporeans they are mostly look the same. While Filipinos, Indonesians, Malay and Thai are mostly look similar.

Kimadksjfhe what does that mean though?
Thicker as in body type?
he meant it as a compliment...like voluptuous or curvaceous (more than the typical Asian). In the US, curvy is considered sexy and attractive.
Kimadksjfhe I get that a lot. I’m not fat, but I have thick legs and round booty lol

People who lives around Asians or in Asian countries can fairly differentiate different type of Asians. But it would be difficult for even Asians to differentiate. It's like a white person from UK would have difficulties identifying nationalities of White people among American, British, Irish, German and Scottish by just looking at them.
Rinchen Tamang American?? America has every race. Not just white people country
Degyptika Padmanebiriau Rai, I am aware of that. What i am implying was that can u differentiate a white person from America, Uk or Australia by just looking at them?
you can even tell pure Western Europeans apart when you live here, but it's not always 100% accurate, especially in places like Germany where we got all possible shades
