An important segment to those that have been "through the ringer" but stuck it out for the benefit of others and themselves. A real encouragement to those that bled at the end. Thanks.

Am I the only one who doesn't know what the social media incident caused mover to stop flying?

He hasn't said exactly, but somebody in the Air Force got their tail in a twist over something he posted and tried to bust him. He has two more years to serve in the Air Force Reserves before he can retire at 20 years. He's said he won't/can't talk about it specifically until after he retires.

You guys do so much wonderful work through this channel, as well as your various other efforts outside of here - and it makes me sad that you have experienced some nasty and negative feedback during your time on social media. However, it doesn't surprise me at all - as there are so many hateful, angry people out there who sit behind their keyboard and rip into others because they probably haven't achieved anything in their lives. Anyway, don't let the trolls and orcs drag you down - and keep on keeping on, because you do so much good, especially all the mental health stuff you guys do. P.S: when does the "TikTok is Cancer" t-shirt come out? 🙂

Best thing about social media is how whole groups of people are outing themselves and show how they truly are.

People should focus on their own Maslow's pyramids and take inspiration from those who are trying different things and actually going after what they want. Instead, so many people love to tear others down. Just ignore the haters, everyone. Often, the criticism they direct at you is nothing more than the unhappiness they feel with themselves.

I hope my comment helps but when you have people say negative comments on your videos they are probably going through a hard time and it’s hard not to be angry and I know all too well what it’s like being angry and bitter so next time when someone is being angry, take the consciously aware mature approach and realize that they are probably doing the best they can to get through life and your success irritates them because they’re not as successful as you are. They’re the nerd and you’re the star quarterback. The next time use reverse psychology and take the opposite approach and ask them: are you okay?………

This was a good video. Thanks for sharing and being open about your lives and risking ridicule or public scrutiny. There were many gains. Trailblazers are the ones with the bruises and cuts.
Several social media stars have committed suicide. Because you gentlemen have pushed yourselves you know who you are and who you are not. You are not fake but comments still hurt. It’s good to say that. You know the negativity is likely coming from people who could not do what you achieved. What you did in the military is likely the highlight of a brilliant life lived and for good cause. This country needs that. You had the courage to be different and do something. That was not wasted. There are a mountain of people who don’t comment that feel differently. Keep doing you. Do it because you feel it’s worthwhile or not. Keep being you! That’s all this world needs.
I saw your stuff about ptsd and chimed in and you put it out there. I know that helped someone. But they may never say it. Do you brother because that’s what you do best! Keep on truckin Brothers.
Also I got your books. I did it to support you. I think it’s so interesting that someone with real experience wrote books. That was probably a cool journey and growth. What a great example of a humans the way you guys look back and pull others up the rope. Keep going dudes!

Only those who have negativity post negatively.
Most of the time people online attack others because they hate themselves the most. Worse still, 99% of them don't even realise or understand it. Like any bully, they see the worst of themselves displayed in others and lash out.
People in general have images in their minds on what they define as the 'perfect person', created by many factors such as family values, traditions, beliefs, what they read about, what they've been told at a young age etc. When someone else defies that, they automatically become both the enemy and the target of abuse. What is really happening, however, is that they see or feel something that has the capacity to challenge their views, and it instils this fear in them which eventually makes them turn defensive. And since there isn't anything realistically to defend from, they attack instead.
It's easy to spot those type of posts as well, because as Wombat rightfully put, there is no constructive criticism that follows (not to mention the array of abusive language). Rather, just a wave of excuses when they attempt to justify it thereafter (until the point when it becomes just silly).
This happens everywhere (not just on the web), be it school, politics, religion, sports etc.... there are no boundaries.
So the way I see it, one way to let the heat slide is to comfort yourself to the fact when someone posts hateful comments, it's less of a dig on you and more a criticism on themselves.
