Nice car, still trying to decide among Palisade XRT, Pilot, Pathfinder Rock Creek, Atlas, Telluride, New 24 Sorento coming out, New 24 Santa Fe also coming out. Can’t wait to see comparisons with those.
Just got a palisade calligraphy and I would recommend to anybody with family. It’s great and beautiful and also drives so good and yeah the wind noise is a bit annoying but with the great sound system it has it fixes that. Even the lower trims are great and the value is there.
@@CaptainSprinkles1985 no I didn’t but I went to like 7 different dealers. Have you actually gone to the dealers or are you just going by what you hear? I guess it also depends where you live. Good tip on the Auto Show. I saw you giving a VIP tour at the Seattle Auto Show while we were there on Sunday. I took the Hyundai Ioniq 5 out with my Dad and brother for a test drive. My dad was SUPER impressed with how nice Hyundais are now (especially the Ioniq and it's acceleration).
I have a 2021 Palisade Limited. (All the bells & whistles except the cosmetic ones.) After 2 years I still love it. My only real gripe is that they put the garage door opener buttons on the mirror and they’re unlit. That means you’re stabbing around looking for the stupid thing and knocking your mirror out of alignment. Some people complain about the side mirrors not have power retract, but I never used them when I had them.
Excellent overview as always Tom. I’m wondering if the Navigation based cruise control requires a subscription ($) after a couple years. You really do pack an incredible amount of good information into a short amount of time.
Always excellent, look forward to every week, Tom you have a fan in Australia, you don't want to know what cars costs over here: try 80 - 90 k I think that's for the high end model.
The MDX is a great choice, you’re looking at about 52K for the base model with all wheel drive, but it does come with a lot of standard features, including the panoramic moonroof, and all the safety stuff for that price. It would be interesting to see what the markups are on the MDX relative to the Palisade….👌
I think you could have gotten at least 2 more packages of TP in there. I'm surprised Costco hasn't cancelled your membership yet? This County's Best Yogurt did it for mine.
Why not black out rear badge and name? Blackout package should be an option across higher end trims also. There are a lot of us who do not like chrome. Kia at least added the XLine option to blackout their trims.
After owning one of these i will never own one again had so many problems i got ride of it fast plus hyundai and kia breaking the recall record for most recalls ever
Thank you for speaking truth about kids and car buying. If you have young kids and can stomach pleather, go for the vinyl. The kids are probably sitting in car seats anyway. What do they know from leather?! Buy your reality
Talking to a Nike engineer, he says the synthetic stuff is better. Looks better longer, needs no upkeep and is just as breathable, if not more so in some cases.
How reliable Hyundai Palisade V6 gdi engine is? Is this very good quality v6 engine? Will this engine run for 400k to 500k km Without Any Big Issues? Can anyone say about it?
Hyundai has really played smart in the US Auto market since Day One with their 10 Year 100,000 mile as standard warranty and always the best pricing in the Industry as well. Given the truly stupendous collapse in the US Housing Market 2022 now leading into deflation I actually find this price to be pretty high right now as the rest of the Industry but most spectacularly Toyota start to flood the US Auto market with far more vehicles than there is demand for and with remarkable in many cases now complexity *"but still a Toyota"* presumably. The soon to be released completely redone Toyota Prius is going to revolutionize the sport sedan market in the USA as well. Still waiting on Ford Maverick sales to be anything other than underwhelming! Great time to be in the auto review business would be an understatement. Maybe try out a HondaJet to expand your Horizons now!
Dig around the forums. I’ve found a couple dealers in TX selling at sticker. Just waiting for my color and trim level to come in…. Another dealer told me 10% but would work with me on a trade…we’ll see…
I couldn't tell from the wording-is the adaptive cruise control included in all models? What about blind spot monitors? Also, how does the trunk space measure up when only two rows are occupied?
@@DrivenCarReviews Thanks for the quick reply! I guess I've been watching your channel for so long, cubic feet isn't as useful a metric to me as the number of packs of softness and absorbency! You mentioned it was 17 with all seats down-do you know the number with just the back row down? Appreciate all you do (especially hauling out dozens of packs of TP at Costco!).
@@DrivenCarReviews That link is helpful, but it refers to two different types of blind spot technologies: blind spot collision warning and blind spot view monitor. I'm guessing the latter pipes in a camera feed from the side mirror, but I can't tell what the BCW is. Does this just warn you if you're about to hit something, or is this what they call the lit-up indicator that many cars have embedded in the side mirror itself? I find it so frustrating that even high-end companies charge extra for BSM technology, and claim it is "technology" not "safety." This is obviously safety! I know the model you had doesn't have the blind spot view monitor, but I'd love to know if it has a lit-up indicator in the side mirror (and if not, what the BCW is?).

Doesn’t look like any caddy to me. Overpriced? Lol. Cadillac is overpriced and unreliable. The faulty engine is last generation 4 cylinder, not the 6 cylinder in the palisade. Interior is better than any comparably priced SUV. The calligraphy edition interior competes with SUVs costing $20k more. Must suck to be you. Hater gonna hate😂
@John Lee Considering the Palisade Calligraphy has fake wood/aluminum trim throughout the entire interior, I seriously doubt the "calligraphy edition interior competes with SUVs costing $20k more." 😆😁
