Ryan Hauf ain’t no one trick pony. This Burnyard mainstay finished up this 3rd gen Bronco and drove it straight to our no prep drag strip. It’s sporting a beefy 444ci M block engine aspirated by TWO 61mm turbos. It makes some nice numbers. Nick meanwhile brought his randy second gen Viper which he somehow managed to keep mostly stock, but couldn’t resist increasing the airflow and swapping in a spicy titanium exhaust. You’re gonna need to check the tapes on this one.

Lol no way!! I also had a 92 Ranger.. it was maroon 2wd single cab long bed 4cyl (8 spark plugs) 5 speed manual. Red cloth interior. It was a dang good truck.
I had the same interior color and fabric in a 79 F150

Not gonna lie, that 400M build caught me off guard. It's an engine I love and is often over looked because the aftermarket wasn't kind to it. It's a tall deck Cleveland with larger crank journals! What's not to love?!
It's only because the Cleveland had a short production run compared to the Windsor series of engines.
This has gotta be my favorite matchup, so unexpectedly even out to the 500 and they were just there to have fun. Plus the sick af burnouts and nothing broke. 10/10

This was a tough call. I figured the viper would hook up better, but it's hard to overcome a 200hp deficit (as I've noticed) once traction kicks in. That being said...there's also the variable of him being able to find traction. I'd love to see the bronco with bigger wheels and sticky bois
Tires don't make a damned bit of difference fool. the 3/4 TON of FAT does.
Well that 400M block in the bronco isn't made to run high rpm. It's made to stay under 6k. It's a 4" stroke engine from the factory and it's a Cleveland. The fact it's a Cleveland is the only factor that helps because a Cleveland likes to breathe

Would be very funny if one of the LT tire makers made a tire with a mud-terrain sidewall but the tread and compound was a DOT slick. Ultimate sleeper.

I mean mass production.. no doubt they were around before that for drag etc. They wanted to release the 911 with close to slicks , but the German government went mad, so they had to have a minimum amount of tread, which they did by measuring and just leaving a big gap

Should have got a viper, they were dead cheap for a while. You could have grabbed a decent one with 80K miles for $7K about 5 years ago.
@@user-ei1hr4zv4h you all act like the used car market never crashed and every viper was desirable. I drove a Lexus SC300 with a 2J and 75K miles on it. It was $4K, buy one today and they're like $15-$18K.

How dodge only got 450hp out of 10 cylinders and 8L of displacement is honestly impressive.
You could say that about most American V8's from factory too. If you ain't getting at least 100 bhp per litre then your doing it very wrong.
2 valves per cylinder. Valve area makes horsepower. You can only get so much valve into a bore diameter.
From what I know the very first gen was low budget, they kind of threw a truck block in there and Tweeked a few things to make it work in a car LOL. Dodge didn't even want to build that car but some people on the inside went through with it. By the second generation they kind of find tuned it a little bit. Anyhow that's what I saw on a RUclips video from a Viper owner talking about his first gen. I could be off on a few details. But I do know it was low budget and rushed into production.
This engine was dodges truck motor slapped into a car. It was designed for towing not horsepower.
@@bobeyes3284 i mean this is just not true. would rather have reliability of a single cam LS or hemi v8 than a dual overhead that makes like 10 more horsepower per liter. single cam engines weigh less with the same displacement when compared to dual overhead counterparts, as well

You can actually watch aero takeover. Which is even crazier because the vipers aero is designed for corning so it is still making downforce(aka drag). People constantly underestimate how much it matters and I don't know why. I picked up 3mph in trap speed on my bike by taking off my mirrors, signals, and rear ugly plastic fender thing.

Wow that's one of the best sleepers I have ever seen! It's quick a f (of course) but the stock wheels and offroad tires as well as exhaust and such make it perfect. And that interior! Even the electronic instrument cluster looks right at home.

That's my thought when looking through used listings. Only 5k miles on a near 30 year old car? That right there was eye candy, fuckin good eye candy don't get me wrong, but it's a waste for one of the finest American sports cars (in my opinion but I'm not wrong lol). 80k-ish miles tells you this car actually gets used more than one a year.
