Fazzy 1987 nah, they’re just there for the characters. Though, some of them do understand it. Maybe it’s because they have the same appeal as Chucky Cheese? But they’re way cooler and have a more recognizable design..? (in my opinion) I remember being at Chucky’s when I was little for a birthday and I only really remembered the rat robot lol (outta all the animatronics.. everything else was kinda memorable). Their pizza was okay tho! I also really like the “grabbing ticket game” thingy. I alsooo still have my phone booth photos with my dad.
I feel like the reason fnaf merch gets the short end is because the series just isn't literal big. Things like mario and sonic are ran by massive companies with quality assurance, where as fnaf is run by a single guy for the most part. And unlike mario or sonic. I highly doubt fnaf has a style guide. These are books with tons of renders and artwork that is sent to licensees to make sure merch is on model, which again, I highly doubt this series has. That's not to mention the lack of official renders in general

There's also a POSSIBILITY that maybe the reason there's such shitty merch is because FNAF targets a young demographic. Think about it, look at every horror movie action figure made by NECA. They're insanely detailed and have multiple variations and extras from R Rated series' like Friday the 13th and IT. But when it comes to horror action figures for FNAF, their joints and and over sculpt are SHIT and seem like lowkey bootlegs. I'm not saying it's fair, but it's a very likely scenario.

The McFarlane Nightmare Mangle was poorly designed. The part that connected the neck to the body was extremely flimsy and would easily break off. Luckily their regular Mangle figure was given a new place to put the neck in making it a sturdier.
I have the Puppet set. For one, you WILL lose the small plushies that come with the set. Second, Puppet's legs fall off a lot. Needless to say, I am flabbergasted by the fact that I enjoyed playing with that ONE set, because I have none of the others.

He's done some helping with stuff like this. When Steel Wool used a POPGOES Springbonnie render for a teaser, Scott told them about it. When Funko used a withered Funtime Freddy fan edit for promotional art of the SL figures, Scott got in contact with Funko about it. He's probably too busy to do something about these issues all the time
I do like the fact that he does care about his community since for years his earlier games never got a following like this and he doesn’t sell merch for money he sells it for the fans that and he’s tried to fight plagiarism committed by the companies who help make stuff for his franchise which i think is admirable

I think part of why FNaF merch is so prone to errors and inaccuracies is because before Help Wanted we had no full-body images of any characters. When you don’t have the entire character visible, it’s kinda hard to recreate it
I have an idea for a toy based on FNaF. What if they had an actual Freddy figurine that was decent sized, and actually had actions? Like you could press the horn, and have it make a honk noise. You could grab the microphone and he'll do the action that was in the first FNaF trailer. You could turn off all lights, and his eyes and mouth will glow before he lets out a scream. It would be the penultimate merch and would be amazing to see too bad that nothing like that will ever be THAT level of quality
Yeah I think that's McFarlane consistent issue. they have amazing Sculpts but the paint work is usually very hit-or-miss. although that seems to be a thing that they're fixing lately and with their figures usually they sacrifice posability for the sculpt. and now they're trying to fix that too. their Mortal Kombat figures are pretty great!

One thing about the Freddy Files that has bugged me and my sisters is that they put a picture of Bonnie in the west hall corner on the page about Freddy in the chapter talking about FNAF 1. I do like the fact that he does care about his community since for years his earlier games never got a following like this and he doesn’t sell merch for money he sells it for the fans that and he’s tried to fight plagiarism committed by the companies who help make stuff for his franchise which i think is admirable

I think part of why FNaF merch is so prone to errors and inaccuracies is because before Help Wanted we had no full-body images of any characters. When you don’t have the entire character visible, it’s kinda hard to recreate it

I have an idea for a toy based on FNaF.
What if they had an actual Freddy figurine that was decent sized, and actually had actions? Like you could press the horn, and have it make a honk noise. You could grab the microphone and he'll do the action that was in the first FNaF trailer. You could turn off all lights, and his eyes and mouth will glow before he lets out a scream. It would be the penultimate merch and would be amazing to see

Yeah I think that's McFarlane consistent issue. they have amazing Sculpts but the paint work is usually very hit-or-miss. although that seems to be a thing that they're fixing lately and with their figures usually they sacrifice posability for the sculpt. and now they're trying to fix that too. their Mortal Kombat figures are pretty great!
