"Well said"? Funny! Instead "Well carved strategy to bring their war in to Ukraine soil & prolong it until Ukraine is completely destroyed" could be better. Russia will certainly lay its sovereignty & power on firm ground what ever these small countries like German do.

There is a certain steadiness and reliability in German policymaking - from Merkel to Scholz - that many people around the world seem to appreciate. Germans are lamenting this "muddling through" mentality a lot. Anyway, Mr Scholz understands that the enduring support of the German public depends on his careful and prudent approach. I guess that's just our culture shaped by history; we need to show everyone that we learned our lesson and avoid poor judgment - especially in matters of war - at any cost. I hope that the events on the battlefield do not overwhelm our collective ability to respond in time. But it is encouraging to see how many international observers appreciate the difficult situation the chancellor is in. If we keep sticking together like this, we may come out stronger once this terrible war is over.

On the other hand, I have to admit, that he is doing a fine job representing what the majority of Germans feel. Most Germans want to support Ukraine, but in a safe and often cautious manner. In the context of our past, we rightfully feel uneasy about our weapons being used against Russia, even though we are on the right side of history in this case.

Well Mr Scholz I see you dont talk freely as you know that talking has been stopped by the Ukraine after getting guidance from Britain and most of all, Putin is winning, he will take Ukraine and there is nothing you can do to stop it. So this visit to the US was nothing but a puppet visiting higher ranked puppet to discuss what the masters might want as next steps... Realy shame on Germany and Germans for behaving like sheeple in all of this, Europe is sold to the US and for what? War? High energy prices? I think it is very clear that all is setup for the US to make lot of money and for all of Europe to suffer so this gantleman cannot be called a leader not for one second, he is a puppet that caries out American plan in Europe, period..

I am German and I have been so ashamed and embarrassed by German Cancellor Scholz on this topic - just a year ago: Days before Putins attack Selensky was in Munich at the Security Conference at a debate forum called "Ukraine Evening". Not one German delegation attended the talk. Only ONE single German liberal MP attended it: AGNES STRACK ZIMMERMANN. This lady has more balls than the rest of the German Goverment alltogether. She was in the room when Selesky begged for weapons. The majority of the German public opposed and so did the German Goverment. And too many Germans were OK with it, because upfront in January 2022 the German Defense Department had already announced to send Ukraine 5000 helmets to defend themselfes. FUCKING HELMETS!!! In addition: I am ashamed of myself, too, because I did not took any actions in those days, exept for constantly asking my relatives, friends, colleagues and peers, how come that we don't send any defensive weapons to a threatened country. They all shrugged. So don't be so hard on Macron. He is doing the best he can, while being under massive domestic pressure. And France is sending tanks, too. I am thankful for every day, Macron is President and not le Pen. Vive la France.

well spoken. We germans would like to see poland send home their ultra right authoritarian government, follow eu law here and there, and dont outlaw abortions right in the "middle of europe" (it was enough that the americans did that, it was outrageous to hear from that case in poland of a raped, 14 years old, mentally ill girl which was raped by his own ucle, became pregnant and THAN was rejected by SEVERAL hospitals asking for an abortion 2-3 weeks ago. Germans were unbelivably angry. it was reported in germany everywhere). And that poland still demands again and again illegal and unfair reparations (as if the generations today which would have to pay for that would have anything to do with what was done 3 generations ago by their dead grandparents) everytime if they have finacial troubles, didnt help either. not to mention how unfair it would be if germany pays for reparation allthough poland didnt pay a single dime for the much much more expensive land of the entire genuine german east german areas which germany was forced to give for free to poland. while germany for example still pays since 200 full years every year hundreds of millions for "much much smaller areas" which germany sized from churches even 200 years ago. And "still" we have to pay. Polish people are not aware how unbelivable much money it would cost poland if they would have to pay for the illegally owned territory of germany. its unbelivable much money, and even much more money than all the reparation claims of poland which i saw.
actually the list goes on for a long time but considering that its was eitherway totally inept to mention all of that to "you" personally i dont go on with it. A brand new Rheinmetall production facility for the KF Kettenfahrzeug 51 Panther in Ukraine will not be set up before the war has ended. That's what I heard from respected sources. It wouldn't make any sense because wherever you go in Ukraine it could be reached by Russian cruise missiles. And, a total new system will take a minimum of 2 - 3 years to iron out the inevitable teething problems.
