This is litteraly my dream car. Ive always loved sw20 mr2s. The v6 makes it seem like a very expensive car but it's out of a Camry
i love to see builds like these,giving the car a 2nd chance and look whats its become,i wish there were more builds like these on youtube
That V6 sounds amazing - all because of the equal length headers. Imagine that motor with a custom inlet plenum, or with throttle bodies on!

That exhaust sounds so good on that V6 it takes the MR2 to another level now it not only look good but sounds amazing the person that win that car is going to have a lot of fun with it great job.

That’s a great v6. The 2gr fe is a great reliable power plant. It’s used in the 07 Camry v6, and the lotus Evora. There are supercharger kits available too.

2007 Toyota Camry SE v6 im pretty sure what caused it was them running the engine without having primed the VVTC possibly

unfortunately that’s just how mr2’s are. i’ve only sat in stock seats but it’s almost like it’s lifted in the back and angles you forward. really weird car to be in and i drive a miata and i’m not even that cramped
@@DM-qp9mu Total BS. The Sw20 stock seats can be tilted way back. And the way the sparco seats are installed in this car seems way off. Just take a look here: ruclips.net/video/b7Gd35reRE4/видео.html and this seat is not even tilted all the way back.

I can’t believe how good that plebeian v6 sounds!
The seats need to move back a lil bit its way too close to the steeing wheel. Not good in case of impacts may lead to serious injuries.
can’t do anything about it. that’s how mr2’s are and even more since they have bucket seats and also the steering wheel is extended like 4-6 inches from factory position. shitty car to drive imo
Thats absolute nonsense. What experience do you have driving SW20s with stock seats? The sparco seats in the video seem to not have any forward/back adjustability, you can see there is about 20cm of room behind the seat where a stock seat would be able to be adjusted into. Im 6"2, I fit into my MR2 with no problems at all. I drive the shit out of my car. It is very difficult to believe that you have ever driven an SW20 if you are making comments like this.
Rohan Smith lmao i’ve driven one and it was hella uncomfortable and hella far forward even when all the way back. i’m 6’2 aswell and it just didn’t feel right. plus the boxy ass center console they have
I think they use fixed seat mounts. Maybe set up for a short person.
what they can now do is custom fabricate the seat mounts I guess.

Something I think you guys should do with these builds is to have a DYNO day, then a day just putting the car through the paces at a track. Drag race it, do street course, and maybe even some drifting.
Maybe you don’t do that so you don’t hurt the car before the giveaway, but it would be really cool to see them perform before going to the new owner.

Hands down my favorite car ever, she will forever be my Eleanor! One day I will buy my third one and see how it goes.
Of course the heater lines leaking, somewhat common. I had to replace them on my MR2 too, you'll have to drop the gas tank out again to fix it. Sad to see the JDM turn signal/marker lights go though, those are getting harder to find.

I suggest you install an LSD in the thing...as it is mighty dangerous with a non lsd. The LSD from the 3rd gen mr2 (mrs) is compatible with the s54 transmission.

I had a eonon head unit but the output signal for my powered sub and amp for speakers was low so wasn't loud enough. Other than that was a good unit
