This is a great product. I use this every two weeks to boost the slickness and gloss. I think I went a little overboard though, buying 4 gallons of it. LOL
Great product. Use it before a family roadtrip as the slick protective layer and the dead bugs wipe off very easily with some ONR. Do this in the morning before heading out again. Amazing.
I live on the central coast of California with a much lower humidity level than you’re dealing with. I haven’t experienced the smearing that you’re talking about. I generally leave a lot more water on the car so maybe that has something to do with it. I wash, rinse, spray and wipe. It does leave the surface incredibly slick. I’m a convert from Meguiars 156. Don’t think I’m going back.
Was just introduced to this product a few weeks ago. I absolutely love it. Goes on easy to a dry car and the paint totally pops afterwards. I noticed that the finish seemed to improve after a few hours too. Great product
I live in georgia and it does smear in the humidity but it is slick as all get out and once it dries it looks wet. With the rain this week the truck dries when i drive down the road. The smell is also a great bonus. Time will tell how it holds up.
let my say I have used this product in North Carolina in the middle of summer and even in my garage while its raining and have had fantastic results with it. I use it as a topper to rejex paint sealant and it looks great
This is the second time that I used the Bead Maker. It worked a lot better with Griots PFM Towel, than TRC Pluffle. PFM + Bead Maker = easier application and removal.
I just applied Bead Maker to my silver ram truck. I washed and clayed the hood and roof to prep the paint, the sides were clean enough. Wow - this stuff is a game changer, impossibly slick! I did the entire exterior, including the full grill, bumpers, mirrors, running boards, glass, and rims. It's slick enough for me to just wash with di-iwater from the power washer and walk away!
P&S say this product isn't to be used as a typical spray wax of just a few sprays per a panel. They suggest literally soaking the panel with beadmaker to make it "effective" I heard after the first time though that you can maintain it with the typical few sprays method as a drying aid.
Spartan soooo lets see, could this be the typical "use about 30 sprays per panel so u can buy more of our product" marketing hype or "use a lot of our product because it has a very low percentage of protection"? anyway I love the more is less type products. Just like those Hydrolisex videos with literally 32 sprays per hood!!
Rdetailing Yeah exactly, need to see more tests and such per different panels of less product and more and see the durability on it. I have heard Renny Doyle say that after the first heavy application then you could maintain it with the less heavy coats. Sounded quite unsure though. Guys over at P&S video say not to be used like your tradition spray wax and that you want to soak the panel. Renny Doyle was the one who dumped a quarter of the product on the hood haha!
Rdetailing Going to wait for Matt to follow up on this product to see how he likes it. Many others seem to love this product but as Matt said in the video he doesn’t just follow the “trend”.
I have my mini washer with a spin dryer. I had a idea. The spinner leaves the towels 80% dry... Perfectly damp for drying. If you notice the towels work better once damp. A couple spritzes of BeadMaker .. bam. Worked absolutely awesome.
My routine with Beadmaker: One coat Jescar, one coat Collinite, wait one day then put a layer of Beadmaker on. During a rain, when most waxes give you a rougher surface, beadmaker will remain very smooth and slick. I use Optimum detailer and gloss enhancer for a drying agent. When I do a maintenance wash, I sometimes put Optimum spray wax and another coat of beadmaker on. Its a good glass cleaner too
I find that the lower pile towels apply this specific product and also removes any excess a lot easier than the more plush towels (at least on my ceramic coating, gtechniq crystal serum ultra). You might want to try that.
I recently applied Beadmaker and did not experience any of the smearing issues Matt encountered...I live in the Northeast and there was not a lot of humidity the day I used it.
What I'd like to see and update video a week later or after rain, especially since it's been applied to a coated surface compared to something like Carpro ech02
with less humidity it's more easy to apply, i make my Jaguar XF2 in 5 minutes and one microfiber (in Paris we have less humidity) anyway i love this product like Pan it's revelation and he smell so good !!!
Guys you try meguiars xpress spray wax? I use that as a drying aid and it works great. Also the water beads but when washing it the meguiars xpress spray wax makes the water sheet off the paint which really help as not much water is left behind. Also longevity I haven’t really test as I use it every time a wash the car
Late to the party on this video but excellent as usual. Bead Maker gets a lot of attention in the detail world but I would like your take on Chemical Guys V07 and Griots Garage Best of Show Detailer. Both are excellent in the sun which in my world is very important to me. Value your opinion highly. Take care my friend.
Subscribed...Appreciate the honesty, tips, and your point of view...Just bought this product, so I'm very anxious to give it a shot when the conditions are right...
My tip is to not use so much in our humidity, Houston. I do a light mist then wipe off and use the Eagle 365 or better to quickly dry. And I use after each wash this same method and it never takes more than 10 minutes. Sorry but after rains it will bead up but most times drains off. Using it on two cars.
I use Beadmaker as a drying aid combined with a griots PFM towel , then after it "cures" (P&S recommends 8 hours) it can be used as a quick detailer (which I do). In my experience it doesnt smear (I live in SoCal) , one product that ive tested which does smear is CG VO7 that product is a pain to work with imo but damn Beadmaker leaves my car looking wet, love it.
mct I cant give a definite answer, I wash my car at least every 2 weeks so it will last that long at the least but id give it 1 or 2 months , depends on how well you maintain your car.
XTN could a detail spray be used on top of bead maker? I love using Throttle detail spray from Shine Supply but still want the added protection from bead maker.
Im glad you mentioned Scott from Dallas, he is like the batman to your joker (because we gotta be $200 bucket hose filler crazy). Imagine what happens when you both finally agree on a product.
Great video. Pan has great video on this stuff and his technique. In humid condition. I have been using it for some time with great results. Just got into THE LAST COAT AMP. AND BOY IS IT SLICKER. Don't get me wrong love Beadmaker. Put AMP on top of Beadmaker and it makes the paint POP INSANE SHINE 😎😏
Obsessed Garage that makes sense. I also realized this was one of your first time applying it & were probably learning/experimenting! Thanks for the quick reply!
Matt, have you tried the 2oz of.echo and 2oz of reload a d 28oz of distilled water in a 32oz bottle as your final wipe down? Love that mix, used beadmaker before, works well!
Love the bead maker. I just applied it to both my cars over the weekend. My R has opti coat. Other car doesn’t. Can’t beat it for the price. My only gripe has been on my plastic trim it’s leaving streak marks. I plan to coat them with some gyeon trim or possibly wolfs . Anyone else having this issue? I even applied a generous amount to a micro fiber then wiped the trim but it’s still not looking the best. Again my only gripe and that’s nit picking.
Thanks Matt!! Do you have any videos of how you care for a clear bra? I have a white car with a slightly faded clear bra on the front. I want to try to bring it back a little. I heard you aren’t supposed to clay bar them, but any advice is appreciated thanks
Does it smear bcs of humidity or bcs the product reacts that way. Interesting if you would have a different result done in OGHQ? Side note: have you looked into a self leveling kit for the raptor?
Obsessed Garage thanks for your response. I like Meguiars cus it’s so easy to apply. One towel will do the trick and it last about five months. And the gloss that I get it’s the best. I’m gonna get this to test it out and I’ll get back to you. I liked it in your car.
Mr ALF excellent topper, adds sleekness to SNS but shortlived. Need it as a drying aid every wash. They complement each other. SNS for hydrophobic and BM for sleekness and Gloss
Thanks for the video Matt, could you say it produces a better gloss than EcH2o, just seems like an EcH2o/Reload or Gyon Cure mixture would produce a slightly better (SiO2 hydrophobic vs polymer monomer ) end result with less work with the same amount of gloss ?
Nice not many reviews yet. My first order came empty, bottle broke lol. Applied on hood earlier today. I used two towels because videos show a lot being used. Once first towel was wet the 2nd buffed it out great. No issue like in this video. Humility today 95% too.
Interesting. I guess that makes it quite expensive. Would be interesting to see how it works as a drying aid if applied in a thin layer and then applying it thick every 6 months or so
I like the new intro, but can I make a suggestion/constructive criticism? It might direct more traffic to your podcast...when it transitions to the “dialed in” piece, I don’t think people understand that that means you have a podcast. I know you say “dialed in” a lot in general, but I think adding “podcast” to that graphic would help direct traffic...just my .02. Avid listener to both youtube and the podcast and just trying to help out 👍
Milkdudsandpancakes this comment made me laugh out loud:) Matt just keep being you as your subjected to "constructive criticism" Which really means work and judgment..lol What a crazy planet..lol
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing it wasn’t negative feedback, I was genuinely trying to be helpful. It was just something that I thought would help. I think you took what I said the wrong way...I am an avid listener/supporter of Matt’s in case you didn’t catch that either. I can understand how you could think that though with all of the youtube hate that typically goes on in the comments section.
This is a great product. Simply put, it works. Gold in a bottle! Make sure you apply it the right way! Read directions and watch videos. I think it works better when my cars are dry vs using as a drying aid.
Interesting. I have heard of this product and was looking to see other people's thoughts on it. I'll be really curious to see how it plays with the Collinite/PowerLock combo (if you happen to give feedback on that) as that's what I have gone to pretty much exclusively on my fleet of vehicles. Always open to opinions and other products so that I can up my detailing game even further.
I could not work this slow in my area. Western Desert dry heat, at night in summers high 90 degrees. So no drying aids. Blower and wipe at same time quickly. I definitely gotta try this out after my wash and dry
Luis Cueva Its not just the dust you have to worry about in AZ, but the sand also. I would just stick to weekly washes. Try prefoaming it and rinse, then wash.
In my experience with this product I find it easier to soak each panel and wipe down with 500 gsm microfiber and continue on each panel. This allows the microfiber to get soaked with product and water. So much I have to wring out the microfiber. After the first quick wipe down while applying product I then go over the entire SUV allowing the smeared application to slightly dry. Then I go over the SUV again with dry microfiber and wipe down to a high gloss. I get away with using two towels with this method instead of applying then drying each individual panel at a time.
in the video they did with Pan the Organizer they say to spray less on the car and more on the towel in humid conditions
Love the bead maker, works great on my black Audi. I use it on my dry freshly washed and dried car. Fast and the black paint pops.
This is a great product. I use this every two weeks to boost the slickness and gloss. I think I went a little overboard though, buying 4 gallons of it. LOL
Some times i like to reminisce the beginning days.
Great product. Use it before a family roadtrip as the slick protective layer and the dead bugs wipe off very easily with some ONR. Do this in the morning before heading out again. Amazing.

Just ordered a spray bottle and gallon of beadmaker. Cant wait to use it on my truck.
Love this stuff. Florida’s extreme humidity may play hell with it, but i didn’t have any smearing issues here in TN
I love the way Matt says “protection” with emphasis every time 😅
I have my mini washer with a spin dryer. I had a idea. The spinner leaves the towels

Just bought the 1 gallon an pint sprayer, hope it lives up to expectations
i was wondering about this stuff. timely video Matt.
Been using it for a couple years now , it’s a great sealant for the price .
I find that the lower pile towels apply this specific product and also removes any excess a lot easier than the more plush towels (at least on my ceramic coating, gtechniq crystal serum ultra). You might want to try that.
Agreed. That's exactly what I did the second time around. 320 GSM Terry was much better.
I recently applied Beadmaker and did not experience any of the smearing issues Matt encountered...I live in the Northeast and there was not a lot of humidity the day I used it.
A tip I've learned from Bob and P&S is to less on the paint and more on the towel for coated vehicles.

I used that for quite a while, but this is much better.
Obsessed Garage also same price?
I have both new waiting to open my shop up!
This stuff is seriously next level. It’s cheap and it works. Love it.
No issues in Alabama. Really pleased with it. Topped it with Griots Speed Shine and it was glossed completely out. Thanks Levi!
You say its smearing around, are you working it in or are you just picking it up with the towel the more you wipe?
Side note: I need a dang carport
I watched for the bead maker for about a minute, after that I just watched to enjoy that amazing truck.
Late to the party on this video but excellent as usual. Bead Maker gets a lot of attention in the detail world but I would like your take on Chemical Guys V07 and Griots Garage Best of Show Detailer. Yeah, Bob from P&S suggested putting more on the towel and less on the paint.
Just got mines in today from Autopia car care. Can't wait to see how it reacts where i'm located. It's super humid here in Louisiana.
This is the beginning of a love story
Just got some yesterday love it.used to use f11 but got a gallon for 30 dollars v 300 dollars for f11.
Good move. F11 is junk.
I use Beadmaker as a drying aid combined with a griots PFM towel , then after it "cures" (P&S recommends 8 hours) it can be used as a quick detailer (which I do). sure you can , it wont effect beadmaker
Im glad you mentioned Scott from Dallas, he is like the batman to your joker (because we gotta be $200 bucket hose filler crazy). Imagine what happens when you both finally agree on a product.
I think Scott and I will get along well. I'll be having him on the Podcast soon. He may drop by FL to shoot some video.
I’m really interested in trying this after you video with TRC. I’ve really been liking Adams h20 guard and gloss as a drying aid on my raptor
Is it only me that like Obsessed Garage videos before I start watching.
Ha, ha... Thanks!
I’m confused why you’re using so many towels Matt
I found out later that my towels had become hydrophobic. They were too old and used too many times with SiO2 drying aids.
Obsessed Garage that makes sense. I also realized this was one of your first time applying it & were probably learning/experimenting!
Thanks for the quick reply!
Bingo
Have you tried Hydrosilex...I would like to use beadmaker as a topper. Also what do I do if I want to use an sio2 over top of beadmaker??
Ok, quick question if you're getting water beading , doesnt that make your paint susceptible to water spotting when those beads finally dry up??
In high humidity you spray less on the surface and more on your rag and vice versa for lower humidity.
Matt, have you tried the 2oz of.echo and 2oz of reload a d 28oz of distilled water in a 32oz bottle as your final wipe down? Love that mix, used beadmaker before, works well!
I haven't done that yet. People rave about it. I'll mix some up for my next wash.
WHEN YOU SAY ECO DO YOU MEAN THE SPRAY WATER LESS WASH ? IF NOT PLEASE ELABORATE THANK YOU
WHEN YOU SAY ECHO DO YOU MEAN THE WATER LESS SPRAY IF NOT PLEASE ELABORATE THANK YOU
Doesn't hydrate have UV protection which I feel is one of the best drying aids
You weren’t kidding about the smell, this stuff smells great.
What does it smell like?
So this can be applied over wax/sealants? Or do we ha e to strip the wax/sealants prior to applying?
Is this a good replacement to using adams detail spray as a dry aid
Where can I buy this in europe?
I don't think there is a distributor there yet. I've been shipping it, but it's expensive.
Possibly getting drying aids and spray sealant or wax mixed up ? Reguardless this is great stuff and less product easily does the job .
Optimum spray detailed works as a good drying aid but I’m going to try this stuff
Hey Matt! So to clarify, does Beadmaker not have any UV inhibitors?
It does have them. I just found that out from Bob at P&S.
Thanks Matt. Good to know. I definitely want to try it out.
That's a great selling point, UV inhibition. Exactly why I'm going to try Polish Angel Master Sealant here soon.
What happens if you leave streaks
Matt, what Car Pro product do you use as a drying agent?
Matt, should I use the Adams detail spray to dry the car and then apply the bead maker, or would you just use the bead maker as a drying aid? Thanks.
I just use Bead Maker as the drying aid.
Thanks Matt!! Do you have any videos of how you care for a clear bra? I have a white car with a slightly faded clear bra on the front. I want to try to bring it back a little. I heard you aren’t supposed to clay bar them, but any advice is appreciated thanks
Not specifically. You can polish it just like paint.
So how do you use after the 845 combination ie use that and then the first wash use the beadmaker?
Can this be used on ceramic coated cars? If so, should one use this on ceramic coated cars?
Yes
Does it smear bcs of humidity or bcs the product reacts that way. Interesting if you would have a different result done in OGHQ?
Side note: have you looked into a self leveling kit for the raptor?
I have the same truck. I just use Collinits 845. Will this work well on it as a topper ?
Yes, it works really well with 845.
Thanks. I bought it from OG a few weeks ago, but pa weather been to cold to try it out yet
After apply my coat of wax how long should I wait to apply the bead maker as a top off ?
I'd wait 3 hours or so. I usually wait until the next day.
Beadmaker or optimum car wax? And do they actually work well if your car has a bit more water beads on it?
I like both. You'd want to remove some of the water before applying.
Which one is better: Meguiars ultimate fast finish or beadmaker?
I love Meguiars. My car is shiny all the time.
I haven't used the Meguiars.
Obsessed Garage thanks for your response.
I like Meguiars cus it’s so easy to apply. One towel will do the trick and it last about five months. And the gloss that I get it’s the best. I’m gonna get this to test it out and I’ll get back to you. I liked it in your car.
Can be used on soft top convertible ? thanks .
Hi! I have a question. If I have my car sealed with seal n shine and use BM as a topper, can I apply it right away?
Yes. Seal n Shine has no cure time, I believe
If you used BM after applying Seal n’ Shine, what were your thoughts.
Mr ALF excellent topper, adds sleekness to SNS but shortlived. Need it as a drying aid every wash. They complement each other. SNS for hydrophobic and BM for sleekness and Gloss
Francis Xavier Peña that’s great to hear. I’m a fan of SNS. Haven’t tried BM yet but I did order a gallon of it.
Mr ALF BM is best on glass in my opinion. Gives you a week or two for paint lol atleast for me.
I find the SiO2 stuff to not do much for the look of the paint.
Nice not many reviews yet. My first order came empty, bottle broke lol. Applied on hood earlier today. I used two towels because videos show a lot being used. Once first towel was wet the 2nd buffed it out great. No issue like in this video. Humility today 95% too.
That's the trick. 2 towels. One to spread and one to final wipe.
Have you tried Opti-Coat Hyper Seal yet? Fantastic for coated and uncoated cars
What's wrong with the black grill?
It was marred and bugs had already etched it.
I know it looks like a pain with the humidity, but are you maybe using too much product as that is what usually causes the issues for me.
Tom Fanshawe actually with bead maker they recommend soaking the paint
Correct, they instruct to lay it on thick.
Interesting. I guess that makes it quite expensive. Would be interesting to see how it works as a drying aid if applied in a thin layer and then applying it thick every 6 months or so
I'm thinking applying a thick layer for initial application and then misting to maintain. The product is cheap for how well it works.
MikeEM1 that’s what I’m thinking. I’m in Aus so it’s a bit expensive to get over here so I’m looking into alternatives
Hey Matt. Always a great video. What towel do you suggest for application? Is that the Creature 420gsm?
Yes, Creature. I have having issue in this video due to the towels being a bit old. They were loaded with older sealants.
Do you recommend flaying the car without polishing after? I don’t think I want to polish the car just yet.
You can, but the clay will marr the surface.
Was your truck coated you used it (BB)?
I like the new intro, but can I make a suggestion/constructive criticism? It might direct more traffic to your podcast...when it transitions to the “dialed in” piece, I don’t think people understand that that means you have a podcast. I know you say “dialed in” a lot in general, but I think adding “podcast” to that graphic would help direct traffic...just my .02. Avid listener to both youtube and the podcast and just trying to help out 👍
Milkdudsandpancakes this comment made me laugh out loud:)
Matt just keep being you as your subjected to "constructive criticism"
Which really means work and judgment..lol
What a crazy planet..lol
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing it wasn’t negative feedback, I was genuinely trying to be helpful. It was just something that I thought would help. I think you took what I said the wrong way...I am an avid listener/supporter of Matt’s in case you didn’t catch that either. I can understand how you could think that though with all of the youtube hate that typically goes on in the comments section.
Milkdudsandpancakes ok:)
Thanks for the video. Did you say this can be applied on top of a wax?
Yes, it can.
Is your property sprayed for bugs? I don’t see any in the humid nights
I don't think they can see the 6500K color temp.
Matt, do you recommend using this weekly as a drying aid after intial application?
Yes, that's the plan. We are able to use a lot less than the original application.
This is a great product. Simply put, it works. Gold in a bottle! Make sure you apply it the right way! Read directions and watch videos. I think it works better when my cars are dry vs using as a drying aid.
I can't wait to see the results of bead maker. Also no Rator wash video ?
Juan Catalina yah like WTF.... Just a chit chat about life and how OG is doing while he was washing the raptor would have been nice.
Hey chemical guy said someone ordered 18pallets of citrus wash & gloss, was that ur order?
kevin P. Matt doesn’t use any gloss enhancement in his strip washes. He recommends the old Chemical guys citrus red.
That's stuff is not good.
I'll be putting it on next week on the WRX with 845.
so how'd it go? did you like the performance over the last two months?
Yes, it's great.
I could not work this slow in my area. Western Desert dry heat, at night in summers high 90 degrees. So no drying aids. Blower and wipe at same time quickly. I definitely gotta try this out after my wash and dry
Really amazing product man. What color is that on that truck?
Lightning Blue
Wayyyy to much buffing. Does carpro echo require that much buffing in high humidity?
mark Saf no ech2o evaporates really quick
Not even close
Nope. Not even on those high humidity days here in So Cal like what we are currently experiencing.
Not to be creepy or anything but were you in Melbourne earlier today? I saw a gt3 exactly like yours and I swore the person driving looked like you
Ha, ha... No, I was in Denver.
The video I've been waiting for.. I got my tea and biscuits, I'm ready.
Boom!
Can I use this as a waterless wash product.
No, this won't work well for that.
Anyone tried comparing the last coat to bead maker?
Last coat is marketing junk.
Matt, how long was that rant about the shiny black grill that you edited out? Lol Every bug, smudge, and scratch would drive me up the wall
Ha, ha... The black grill is gone as of now.
Obsessed Garage RIP, it was worth a shot lol
Will there be a Vlog of the new bumper and picking up stuff from Orlando 👌🏼??
There won't be. It took 4 days to get done, so I couldn't hang out that long.
Buy a test panel panel and show us beading characteristics for products please!
Can you use this on ceramic coated chrome wheels?
Yes, should work well as a topper for the coating.
Recommended to use on cquartz coated cars?
Yes, I put it on the white Raptor that has TiO2. It works well.
Have you tired Optimum Hyper Seal for coated cars?
I have. It's pretty good, but I don't like how it looks.
hey matt can you please do a vid on how to maintain pain in a super dusty state such as AZ and I don't have a garage so what would you recommend
Luis Cueva Its not just the dust you have to worry about in AZ, but the sand also. I would just stick to weekly washes. Try prefoaming it and rinse, then wash.
Do you follow or have you heard of Forensic Detailing Matt I find his information very informative as is yours . Pan the Organizer is good too ..
madmark171 Seriously?
Be nice. He might be new here. Lol.
Followed Matt for quite a while but open to many Detailer’s takes ..
Paaaaaan the organizer
Pans reviews are not accurate, IMO.
I figured out what was wrong since this video. My towels were toast and had become hydrophobic from use over the past year with SiO2 drying aids.
Why do it in the Humidity? Wrong day!
The time it takes to apply/work in you could of done a paint correction, polish and Carnauba wax topper.
