@ 3.50 gal its costing you $0.0426 cents per mile @82 mpg. The operating cost definitely justifies the upfront cost you would have to get a plug in hybird or a ev to top the fuel savings, and you can't touch them for $5000. The insurance cost is a no brainer.
Yes and Presidents are in the habit of lifting fuel restrictions in the summer so we wind up getting high ethanol year-round. This is usually a campaign promise they make to corn farmers to get votes in the Midwest. Whatever else it may be, ethanol in motor fuel is a way of subsidizing corn farming.
You are forgetting to add the extra cost of license and insurance and gear to wear. You are the rare case that will break even in about a year. Most people take 3 or 4 years to break even on the gas paying for the scooter.

Some habits are hard to break lol I’m a machinist by trade so I say that phrase no less than 10 times a day at work
Winter fuel blends produce less HP and worse economy than summer blended fuel
Would that affect me? Living in Alabama? I didn’t realize that was a thing in the southern states
@@DirtRider22a I think all refineries change blends to reduce emissions
@@crabhab I’ll have to research that, never knew there was different blends for winter and summer, thanks for the knowledge 👍
