I used to say I don't watch musicals. Not anymore. This is definitely a MUST SEE. And to everyone who says it was not good. A "Good afternoon" to them.
I hate musicals. Even Cole Porter said he purposely wrote songs with minimal ranges for the Broadway singers! I’ve worked as a session singer since I was 14, and there is nothing worse than a musical, other than a few, of which I think I can count on one hand. This is DEFINITELY one of them. Dream Girls was horrid, and the Mamma Mia movies butchered every Abba song they attempted, but American Idiot was decent and even Hamilton wasn’t that bad, at least the male singers were pretty good and the songs were catchy and sometimes very funny. I also saw Yul Brynner in the King and I before he died, and because it was him, it was magnificent. But that’s about it!
"Come on, Bub!" Someone's been hanging around Wolverine too much 😉 Just when I think I couldn't love Ryan any more, he does a big song and dance number in a British accent 😍
I was on a call today with my team and another team. The other team literally said good afternoon to each individual person on my team and I couldn't help but think of this brilliant performance. I ended the call later with a emphatic good afternoon.
Hey guys just wanted to say I recently saw the movie and I loved your work on it all of you. Will and Ryan you had nice chemistry you too Tracy. Overall everybody nailed it. Ryan could have done better with his self-image but we all know Ryan. Hehehe. Great Christmas vibes and a nice twist on the story. Not a big fan of musicals but this felt like more of a play and I just loved it. Respect. And no I didn't forget you Octavia. Closest to a five star I've seen recently. By the way.... Eh hem..... GOOD AFTERNOON!!
Watched this move for the first time last week and I was so impressed with Ryan during the whole thing but he really got me with this one. He did amazing, love him ❤
@@ericadamcik8039i love the movie but honestly I don't think it needs a sequel. It's one of those movies where you really want more but a sequel wouldn't be good for the first movie
I have to say. I’m not a fan of “newer” Christmas movies. I’m a man of the classics. But this was such a wild take on the tropes of Christmas and the season that I can’t help but love it. The songs are so good and the message is even better. “It’s not about doing good overnight. It’s recognizing that we all have the capacity for good even if it takes just a little longer. As long as you keep trying, you’re on the right track. Highly recommend this move to everyone. My new favorite Christmas movie.
@thatonerandominternetdingu736 Not all musical movies are adaptations from stage musicals, like Spirited isn't. But of those that are, that's fair. There are some that are still really good though, and some more recent examples are In The Heights and Tick Tick Boom! Those were absolutely incredible. I like the West Side Story remake too.
Probably my favorite part/song of the whole movie 👌 what a gem of a film. I wish I could buy a physical copy. Too bad it's still only available on Apple TV+ 2 years later 😅
The joke is that British people of the era (and perhaps even now) spoke so politely that the slightest inflection could make a benign phrase offensive. It is said by Scrooge in the original story to dismiss someone he does not like.
My grandpa would say it's the perfect way to insult someone and have them thank you. Like when us southerners say 'bless your heart'. Trust me, we ain't being nice. 😅
I am not a fan of the break in song after the Judy Dench cameo. If you know who Judy Dench is you already got the joke which would have been much funnier if it was just fleeting and maybe followed by a subtle double take from Ryan. Instead we start getting mansplained what the cameo was removing all humour.

SAME 😂😂😂

LoL. Have a warm glass of hateraid, and "Good Afternoon" 🤣😂😭😂😅😭
Watched this last night & I was surprised at how good it actually was. I needed a good laugh & feel good movie/musical
100%. Movies lately have been so empty and bs that I have very little expectation. This movie definitely exceeded all my expectations and more.
If you haven’t seen this movie, then I say this from the bottom of my heart….
GOOD AFTERNOON!
😂😂😂
It’s a great song to play in your head when working in customer service, especially during the holidays!!! 😉🤣
How DARE you...
Brilliant take on "Thank You Very Much." Made my heart soar.
"Come on, Bub!" Someone's been hanging around Wolverine too much 😉 Just when I think I couldn't love Ryan any more, he does a big song and dance number in a British accent 😍

This is my favorite song in this movie
Good morning, good evening and…
GOOD AFTERNOON!!
This is my new go-to Christmas movie! 😍🎄👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Anyone else wish the official soundtrack included the tap dancing sounds in it like in the movie?
I love his British Accent. Tbh, a canadian accent is very similar to an Eastern American accent (cuz I have one) 😄
Right? Canada still shares a monarch with Great Britain, and yet their accents aren’t any better than Americans!
If you go to Eastern Canada you’ll hear some strong accents like in Newfoundland or Nova Scotia or New Brunswick.
Need a spirited 2
They did tease Hanukkah and Ramadan as holidays past. I wanna see that!

My favorite song. So appropriate-for every occasion.

My coworker hates this song, hit the like button to tell him "good afternoon"
Hey you " Co workeeerr, GOOD.AFTERNOON "
Yo coworker ….. GOOD AFTERNOOOOOON
Now i want Deadpool: The Musical
I mean, it would be in character
Omg! That'd be awsome!
That already exists on RUclips
I like they made a whole musical number out of a line from Christmas carol where Scrooge says good afternoon and someone gets offended
As a musical nerd, I hate movie musicals for the most part but this blew me away
How do you hate movie musicals as a musical nerd??
@@luna-mo3ol They don't always translate as well for me to screen from stage

What a voice
Ahh yes.. A quality movie that made me die laughing.
It's a great movie, I recommend it to well, everyone. I really enjoyed it.
“British ryan reynolds doesnt exist what do you m-“
1:46 HE SAID THE THING FORESHADOWING FORESHADOWING FORESHADOWING
Oliver Twist showing up really shivered me timbers
All i can see in my head is deadpool and megamind singing and dancing in this
Didn’t care for the film overall but the music numbers were really fun.
Probably my favorite part/song of the whole movie 👌 what a gem of a film. I wish I could buy a physical copy. Too bad it's still only available on Apple TV+ 2 years later 😅
Psst...this is not the "full scene".)
Sucks that official soundtrack don't have the tap dance and Judi singing, still great song lololol
"Thank you very much" was better.
This one made me laugh
Megamind and Guy being silly together 😂😂
So I absolutely love this, but why is it so bad to say “Good afternoon”?
The joke is that British people of the era (and perhaps even now) spoke so politely that the slightest inflection could make a benign phrase offensive. It is said by Scrooge in the original story to dismiss someone he does not like.

Back then, Good Afternoon was a sick burn!
i argue that this is not a christmas song
Why’s it censored…
Well good afternoon to everyone in here commenting.
Deadpool 3 , i think that song will sing again
Deadpool and Wolverine could sing a musical together
1;27 looks like effects team messed up
