ORIGINAL: • Skid Row - I Remember ...
Skid Row has some bangers. In a Darkened Room, Wasted Time, and 18 and Life just to name a few. Well worth it!!!
Both of these songs are INCREDIBLE!!!! 🎶❤️✌🏻
Don't forget 'Youth Gone Wild' -- the one that introduced them to the world. And a pretty badass tune, on top of that.
The entire Slave to the Grind album is a banger. i remember seeing them in 1991 with Guns n Roses in Toronto. when he started this song every girl in the audience lost it and i was close enough to the stage to see him blush.
Wasted Time, Monkey Business, 18 and Life, Youth Gone Wild. Bangers all. You can't miss.
Sebastian has the voice of an angel back then and still has it today! You must do 18 and life!
He hasn't anymore
He's such a great vocalist. ✌️
Had posters of Sebastian Bach on my bedroom walls as a teen in the 80s!! Such a great band!!
Same, lol Sebastian was my crush all through Jr. High & High school. The man is FINE,and his vocal range is INSANE!!! 🎶❤️✌🏻
@@stephaniegeer1691 Mine was David Lee Roth lol..posters all over walls and ceiling , Mom said he looked like a woman lmao
OMG... I saw this and COULD NOT hit the video fast enough.. One of my favorite bands of all time.
Sebastian’s voice is amazing and he was a great actor on Gilmore Girls
In the 80s, the only way hard rock/metal bands got played on main stream radio was if they had a slow song. Hence the birth of the power ballad, which was usually the third track on an album.
Sebastian's voice was one of a kind
I love this song so much. So much sentimental nostalgia for me. 18 and Life is great as well.
This was their Love Ballard, all the Hair Metal bands had to have one in the 80s
Love Sebastian. He has also sang on Broadway too.
I watch all the skid row reaction videos because i love seeing people blown away by sebastians vocals.
I've seen Skid Row several times in concert, and they are an awesome live band. Great reaction!! 😊
My beautiful Baz ❤ he still has his pipes today! 😊
Sebastian has one of the best voices in R&R.
1991 they were the first metal band to debut an album at #1.
Saw Sebastian at a small event about a month ago. Barely aged. Still looks and, amazingly sounded the same ❤
I had the biggest crush on Sebastian when i was in the 8th grade ❤😂❤
more Skid Row! those top songs you read are a great place to start!!!
Early 90s he was the man❤❤❤❤❤❤❤much much ❤❤❤❤
The guys hated recording this song, but every metal band had a "Power Ballad" at the time and Skid Row had to do one, too.
Sebastian Bach❤. Please try Wasted Time. It will change your life. It about the original drummer for Guns and Roses, Steven Adler and heroin addiction. They were best friends.
This is a hard rock band. Metal has a faster tempo. This song is a rock ballad, required by record company contracts, on each album back in the 80s.
Oh wow, I didn't know that about him and Steven, I just had to Google Steven (that sounds weird😂) I thought he died but nope he's still with us, sorry Steven ❤
His vocals are even better on wasted time
And watch the official video. It has some powerful imagery
My husband and I have been married for 34 years and he’s worked for the railroad and is gone for 2 days at a time. Every time he comes home one of us says I remember u! So every time I hear this I think of him! ✌🏻😎
Monkey Business is a banga
One of my favorite Skid row songs! Love the electric guitar solo, and the acoustic ending!❤❤
Classic Metal Band from the 80s the decade never to be duplicated
I love watching Baz render people speechless. ❤
Damn.. why do I always shed a tear when I hear this song? That last gasp of 80's..
We referred to these kinds of bands as 80s hair bands, and those that wanted to gain a wider audience through radio play had to put out their power ballads which is how this song would have been classified. Those were the songs that drew in the biggest female audience. MTV was big back then, so visuals were also very important. Long hair was an extension of the hippie look, but the 80s made that into a bigger, bolder fashion statement along with make up and attire (theatrics) for the stage and television audience. Many of these bands would team up and tour together for big stadium performances. Sebastian Bach (lead singer for Skid Row) had the vocal ability and good looks to help this band reach celebrity status. If you enjoy listening to this kind of music and learning more, keep digging for nuggets like this to help you grow your channel. Power ballads are a good way to go. Lots of fans still out there.🤘
I watched this video nonstop as a teenager and loved it. Boy does it hit differently now as a widow. 💔💔 Skid Row was 100% hair band, and this was a rock power ballad. 18 and Life is so good. Bon Jovi got Skid Row started.
I saw Skid Row live in 1990 when they were opening for Guns 'n Roses, and let me tell you, Sebastian Bach can really, *REALLY* sing! He sounded incredible live. One of the best concerts I've ever been to.
They have a lot of great songs ❤
Straight 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Slave to the grind, rattlesnake shake, Quicksand Jesus, 18 & Life Piece of me, Psycho Love or Youth gone wild are all great, just to name a few.
Slave To The Grind is a fantastic song!!
Crushed hard on Sebastian back in the day. Him and Zakk Wylde covered my locker. 😆
Sebastian Bach was one of the best front men out there in his time. His voice could give you chills.
Bas has an amazing voice. Love him.
Skid row is hard. Back in the 80s, everyone did rock ballads. This was theirs.
🔥🔥
Baz did broadway after the Skids like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Rocky Horror and more. He’s also the blonde in Watch the World Burn. When he came at Ronnie.
That solo just hits the soul hard
When the music later dubbed “Hairband or Hair Metal” came out in the late 1970’s to early 1990’s mostly, we called it Heavy Metal. They made the movie “Heavy Metal” in 1981, for which Sammy Hagar wrote and performed the title song.
Man that takes me back a few years.
80s hair bands are the best! I wish u went live more often when my eyes are actually open! I have a whole list of songs for u! ❤ Check out To be with you by Mr Big! 🙏🫶
This would be their biggest ballad type song but they're widely know for 18 to Life and 80's hair bands are a great collection of music you should dive into
Don't make it complicated it's rock !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rock embodies Jon Bon Jovi. Skid Row with Slave to the Grind is harder than Guns N' Roses stands for hard rock.
Heya bro, found you through Black Pegasus. Gonna binge watch for awhile. Great commentary.
the singer is the guy the laptop crushes in the Watch The World Burn video
80's rock 🤘🥰
Great review of one of my favorite songs. For something classic with a modern twist may I recommend BAND-MAID and the song is "Domination" the official live performance. They could easily become one of your favorite groups.
Have you listened to any SteelHeart? Their singer, Miljenko Matijević, is one of Rock’s top tier vocalists. He has a range that will blow you away. Their two hit Power Ballads are, “I’ll Never Let You Go”, and “She’s Gone”. An excellent hard rockin’ song of theirs is, “Can’t Stop Me Lovin’ You”. I’ll put link below. Thanks!

I love Sebastian Bach. Skid Row was my very first album (cassette) I've bought in my junior high school years. Sebastian use to sing in the choir.
Skid Row opened for Bon Jovi also Aerosmith before headlining. They were glam/hard rock. They kicked out Sebastian in 1996 due to personality conflicts.
A+++ these guys are legends!
Was very excited to see you react to Skid Row. Sebastian Bach is one of the greatest vocalists and highly underrated for his vocal talent. You need to do Wasted Time, 18 and life, in a darkens room, youth gone wild.
The best example of his vocals would be wasted time but 18 and life is awesome as well. My personal favorite is sweet little sister but that's because of an inside joke between my brother and myself.
Yes, it is a band. An incredible band with a lead singer that has an incredible vocal range. Sebastian Bach is amazing but the band as a whole is so talented. New to Skid Row, check out - "18 & Life", "Youth Gone Wild", "Wasted Youth", "Monkey Business". Those will be the songs that hit the popular mark but their catalog is amazing and their albums contain a lot of great songs.
Glad you like this song.
WASTED TIME is a MUST to react to! It's about former drummer of Guns and Roses Steve Adler. He was highly addicted to heroin and was fired from the band. Beautiful and raw lyrics and Sebastian's voice will blow your face off!! Then add the bands instrumentals....just ROCKS! This genre I believe is hair bands. 80's music was banging🤟
18 and life and wasted time are a must!!
"Quicksand Jesus" !!
Yeah, Sebastian has serious pipes. Please do 18 and life with video.
I put up with Motley Crue to see Skid Row open for them, twice!!!!! My sister and I went to the first show in 89....we were among the very first in the venue and I was standing at our seats whike she went to grab beers for us.....A dude walked up to me, totally grunged ou tand asked me to come backstage at the bands request....I asked which band, he said Crue...I said no thanks, I'm good, I was young but not THAT young and after his face regained it's blood flow and he overcame the surreal moment of my elitist attitude he said well..um....ok....and left, my sister was just approaching and asked who that dude was and I said I didn't know, he said the band wanted me to come backstage, and she got real happy until I told her when I asked who and he said Crue, I said no thanks...she nearly passed out! lol She was the Crue fan and if looks could kill! lol She seriously thought I was mentally impaired at that point, but I reminded her that I hate Motley Crue and if it wasn't Skid Row asking then no, I'm not a creeper or would use an invite for an 'in' to get to the other band like a weaselly bitch. lol I have wondered over the years, what the faces or responses he got when he told them I declined for Skid Row....and also have wondered if maybe I wouldn't have thought of Crue as such a cartoony laughable stereotypically engineered band had I actually met them. I lean towards the 'probably not' conclusion, IDK, I don't regret it....But I also just for a second, wondered if I was a certifiable hella-narcissist ???? But then I just laughed and thought....of course not!.......I was so ass!!!!!! True story. I think that is the prime reason my sister and I don't get along anymore since I ruined her one chance to experience something of that nature. Besides, I didn't quite like the whole situation where i was chosen like a lobster at a restaurant to be enjoyed like an entree?? Rubbed me the wrong way....and also, the low opinion of women they must have had, right? IDK
Welcome to Skid Row!! You gotta do a reaction on their official music video "Wasted Time ". Sabatian Bach show cases his voice!! Keep up the great reactions Brother 🤙
That whole first album was amazing.
Sebastian was so drunk when they made this video. Dont know how he stayed upright on the stool😂
Yes! Please more Skid Row. Labels pretty much required every 80s band to have a power ballad, and as great a song as this is, Skid Row is a much heavier band. These guys are excellent musicians and songwriters, and with Sebastian's insane and emotional vocals, should have been on top of the metal food chain, but were essentially a victim of bad timing with the onset of the grunge era. Try Youth Gone Wild, 18 and Life, Slave to the Grind, Monkey Business, and the end-all be-all of Sebastian's vocal prowess - Wasted Time.
Sebastian Bach has a iconic voice!!!!
I think you would like their song Slave To The Grind. 😊
Yes, yes, that was also such a Band for Women...😁💋❤️🔥oh, there were so many of them, it was wonderful...I miss this great time!! 🙏🤘
My young, teenaged self thought Sebastian Bach was the seXXXiest, most talented man alive back in the late 80s/early 90s!
I'm not quite sure why; maybe it's in part due to nostalgia, but music from back then just hits differently than most heard today-I really miss it. 🤘🏻♥️♾️
I just subscribed to you, I enjoy your reaction.
18 and life by Skid Row
Rhino is a record label.
You should do Living on A Chain Gang by Skid Row, their second album was heavier, so many songs to choose from, but Sebastian’s Vocals on Chain Gang are insane.
Back in the 80’s and early 90’s Sebastian was known as “THE VOICE”. He and Steve Perry were the only 2 rock singers given that label. And rightfully so!!!!!!!!
Yes but Rik Emmet should have been in that mix. He's still awesome.
Bs
Jeff Tait says hold my beer
thanks for the memories from a 47 yr old man reliving a better time!
Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leopard.
Great group with a lot of great songs.
sabestisn bach shows off on the Song " Wasred years".. please check into that 1 .. promise you will hear vocals outta this world
Sabastian Bach has such a fantastic voice. He's also handsome.
defiantly 18 and life, youth gone wild is good song also. I seen skid row open up for Van Halen in the 90s great concert Van Halen and Led zepplin my 2 favorites . But getting to see sebastin Bach was great also I was born in 76 so sweet spot for music 70s grew up on 80s and 90s high school amzing times for music. I dj alot parties and I listen to and have everything fro 8 track , records , tapes , cds , mp3 to only and so on. Love watching AR classics everyday on UTUBE
If you want to know SKID ROW - the whole two albums are great. Apart from the mentioned greatest hits I suggest especially: Can't Stand the Heartache, Here I am, Midnight (tornado), Beggars Day, Riot Act - fun and powerful riffs and catchy choruses well displaying power and melodiousness of Bach's vocals, and simultaneously letting you walk off the beaten track of Skid Row recognition. If you like these - you will definitely check out the great power ballads anyway. However, recognizing the ballads may not lead you here, as these are the less often suggested tracks and that's a disservice to all.
Sebastian is great but for Vocal acrobatics I recommend Journey Mother Father live in Houston the vocals are insane ❤
So as a kid of the 80's and 90's I grew up with Skid Row and Sebastian Bach as one of the rock/metal gods.... especially his vocals and the way they made you feel, but for full context..... but to give you some context, if you remember when Ronnie Radke (Falling in Reverse) caught a lot of shit for cancelling shows when the laptops were stolen, Sebastian Bach was the 'old school' hero talking smack and calling Ronnie a Pussy about not doing a show because of needing 'tracks' to be able to perform and got into a beef with Ronnie,
Subsequently, the long haired tool getting hit by a laptop in Falling In Reverse's "Watch The World Burn" Video is Ronnie's interpretation of Sebastian Bach !!
This is a true classic. If you really want to see Sebastian Bach's vocal range you should do a reaction to Wasted Time video. His range is unbelievable.
The pipes is bad azzz ! The best there is much luv to Sebastian Bach ❤
MONKEY BUSINESS ..did I yell that?? Well, YES I did
You need to react to wasted time It's a powerful message and of course Sebastian's voice is amazing and also in a Darken Room is another powerful message
Sebastian Bach lead singer.. and Ronni Radke...had recent disagreements a few years ago...Falling in Reverse song "watch the world burn"... there's a scene (CGI) of laptops falling on a long haired rocker (Sebastian Bach) ....
Steelheart has some good ones. I'll never let you go is one of my favorites
Skid row is considered hair band
The live version at Wembley is better than the studio version.
Love this!
Anthony. If ya wanna hear 80's pipes that put Sebastian to shame
Steelheart
Angel Eyes
Also, Steelheart still doing live performance and haven't lost one iota.
Love ya❤❤
Yes it is a location too, poor area in LA I think! I grew up in NJ during the metal head years. This was the shit when I was in high school.
Who didn't love Sebastian Bach?? That voice, face not too bad either!😉
Wasted Time really hits in the soul!
check out their other videos 18 & Life, Youth gone wild, monkey business, Wasted time! Sebastian has one of the best voices in the business! i listen to all kinds of music and hard rock and heavy metal is so damn awesome!
Quicksand Jesus for sure!!!
